So im buying another V4
I have a 900mah right now and its awesome. super small, stealthy. Great for a day or two of constant use
Does anyone have the medium and/or large V4 batteries?

Do they add noticeable pocket bulk? I'm thinking of getting the medium just in case the large is too big.

I have a large battery and it's not like overtly big or anything like that. Fit in my shorts pockets easily enough.

I charged it at the top of my vacation before I left, and used it quite a bit through the vacation. Not like all day everyday, but in the mornings, and occasionally during day, and then again at night.

The large battery lasted me that full charge the whole week. It was needing a charge when I got back, but still had some juice in it (was on lowest V color when I plugged it in though)

I was running on 19w the whole week with the dual coils

edit: @Mac S The doubles hold more concentrate, I initially thought I liked the singles more, but really do think I'm more a fan of the doubles....should pick some up. The singles for me are better for the "dab like" hit that is really fast, the doubles I can kind of sip on all day.

Also, I use the doubles with a ton of wax. Definitely not LAYG style for me personally. BUT, literally after every full rip I bring 10-20 seconds of cold air in to stabalize the wax back in the coil. That coil is being cleaned right now, but I ran probably a tad more than 2 grams through it before it was super gunky.

I use mine everyday!
I don't know which one I have? (I think it's the big one) it last long between charges!

If you have a 900 maH get the big one.

My wife hates flower smell so I use it in the car! (so I have to have one) SHATTER is not bad!

I love mine!

I'm buying my Omicron + AC tonight. I want to get a backup coil, and initially I was just going to buy a standard single coil, but then I started wondering what the differences between single, double, double quartz, and donut coils are. Can anyone comment?
I agree with everything @waxdab23 said, that's a good summary.

With regards to the size debate I have long been of the "bigger is better mentality" and when @THC SCIENTIFIC asked me what size Omicron I wanted to beta-test I of course said "Heavy Duty"

And I used it and loved it but I'm a dabber and a Herc man, and after a week of use and no charging needed, I began to wonder... When the next revision Omicron came out I was sent all 3 sizes and since that time, the LD has become my daily driver for afternoon rips out at the park or in my pocket on a bike ride, out to the bar for a beer. I've personally found that since I don't vape in the mornings or during the day, there's plenty of battery life for *me* in the littlest Omi.. It fits nicest in my pockets, since it's so tiny yet powerful, I bring it absolutely everywhere. :2c:

I just used my Omicron/AC for the first time...Wow. This is going to be a real game changer for me. She makes tasty clouds.

One thing I noticed though is that my power button on my Omi has a tendency to get stuck. Sometimes after I let go it takes a full second for the switch to come back up. I'm not sure how common this is, but I am a little worried it's going to get jammed in there mid pulse and that I might not catch it in time to un-stick it and burn the coil out or something. Hopefully the switch gets worn in as I use it, as the sticky switch seems to make it hard to tap/pulse

I was just reading about the non crimp issue found in some of the carts which made me aware of the need for crimps when rebuilding w9 atomizers.

My questions is concerning the 1701 rebuild able donuts. I have been building these without crimps because I did not see any in my original 1701. Do i need to use crimps when rebuiilding these or are the donuts safe from not using crimps?

Thank you

Y'all got nutmeg?
Yes I just tried for the first time this last weekend lol!

Here's how I did it...

I purchased this cleaner: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00H...ic+cleaner&dpPl=1&dpID=41yIaj8lx-L&ref=plSrch

I filled half the tank with ISO and ran the ultrasonic cleaner for one cycle (3 minutes). I later read in the ultrasonic cleaner recommendation thread on here that a smarter way to use the ISO is stick your, in this case, coils and ISO in a ziploc bag and fill the tank with warm water. Duh lol, I'll do that next time so I'm not wasting a bottle of ISO on one session.

Placed a bunch of AC coils in a basket and dropped in the tank. Ran a few cycles and rinsed with distilled water.

Check out one of the coils, and this is an old one - several months of use...

ERfhKOs.jpg

Came out cleaner and with less effort than when I did hot ISO baths.

Resistance and everything reads fine on my box mod. Have been using them after drying and burning off and everything has been fine.

I also threw all the 'soakable' parts of my Herc and my ELB's in there. Good as new.

Hey! I just followed your directions and did like 7 cleaning cycles (same machine) and I've still got crusty coils. Is there some trick I'm not aware of?

With some of my coils that were extra cruddy: right after a cycle I did a quick, gentle swipe across the coils with a toothpick (black crud swipes right off because it has been loosened) and put them in for one or two more cycles. Good luck!

So, I was at Barnes & Noble a couple hours ago killing some time. Looking through the magazines I come across High Times. Dude, I haven't read High Times magazine since high school, lol, so I pick it up, and what intrigued me was they had a list of best vape pens for 2016. I excitedly open it up to see what they have to say about the Omicron V4/KISS AC. Looking through the 4 or 5 pages they had dedicated to this topic, I don't see any mention of the Omicron. Hmmm, that's weird. You think they would include one of the more highly regarded vape pens on the market in these write ups. So I double check, and nope, nothing. That's when I see it. Not the Omicron mind you, but a full paid page ad for Kandypens. Ok, I get it. Pay to play right. As soon as I saw that, I put the magazine right back on the rack and proceeded swiftly to the arts & media section. Lesson learned.

Yep this stuff is a serious bummer. Then you visit some other brand's website and they have posted 'voted best vape pen by High Times magazine!' like it was some sort of real legitimate contest. Paid or otherwise subsidized reviews can't help but be biased even in the case where the reviewer has the best of intentions (even those cases seem few and far between).

Glad you guys are diggin' the Omicron!

I just heard from @THC SCIENTIFIC that there's a new Alpha Centauri coil coming soon... EHD coils are on the way :D.

Happy Friday!

I just received five of the new EHD coils!

I did a test fire and burn off on each of the coils and had mixed results...

In the picture below, the coil on top seemed to test OK. I let the coils glow for just a second and it looked like a healthy glow on both coils that started from about the middle and worked its way out.

The two coils pictured on the bottom left glowed from only one of the coils, and from the edge of that coil versus the center. You'll see in the picture the blue line where the coil glowed. Does this matter? I want to make sure these last as long as possible.

Finally, the two coils pictured on the bottom right - these glowed bright from underneath the coil! Kinda freaked me out. In the picture you'll see that it looks like those two coils didn't even heat up. These are most obviously defective - do I set up a ticket with PIU (where I purchased from) or with W9?

All 5 coils read between 0.42 and 0.52 ohms.

All 5 ceramic cups are loose. Will this cause an issue down the line? I've noticed this with some of my standard AC coils, but wasn't sure if that had been effecting lifespan. One thing is for certain, that jiggle from a loose ceramic cup is annoying as hell.

Thanks for testing before use; we can replace your non functional heaters since you tested before loading- good on ya. Perhaps there's something in the assembly of the new EHD coils that needs to be checked out. Could you help us find out what's going on by taking a video of the 2 coils glowing from underneath the coil, as well as the 2 coils that are only heating on one side, and send it over to support@w9tech.com (or share the URL of an unlisted Youtube video if the video's too large to e-mail).

I had the same thing happen with a number of new EHD coils. I got 4 and gave each of them a quick fire to burn off any machine oil and to make sure that they worked. One was DOA, but the other three seemed ok. I started using one and then I noticed it seemed to be heating very unevenly. Then it died, so I used another which also quickly died. Long story short, out of 4 coils I received last week only one is still working. I'm not sure what the deal is.

Ya I took a video of the 4 defective coils I had and sent it to W9. They asked me to mail them back (which I'll be doing today) and promised they'll grab 4 new ones, test them and send them to me.

You might have an issue because you've used the coils, but maybe they'll work something out for you.

No i got a few wax pens and been using a reg old pen and my mod box and sub ohm tanks for oils that i make with ej mix. Whats the advantage with this ? Does it do both wax and oils ? Edit - After looking on the website it seems it is mainly a wax type pen , I cant see what i would benefit from using this vs my yocan products that are a fraction of the price. I have been really happy with all them and i have every type of coil they make , ceramic , dual quartz ect... I am not knocking it but what are the advantages it has vs using my yocan devices as i know you own some yocan products also ?

I am def into quality my man but around my parts wax/shatter is pricey as i am in a non legal state. I am sure they are quality as i only have heard positive things about them but i never had a problem with my any of my yocans , they get the job done for me. I got many of them , some for free to test and at the price i pay for concentrate i cant justify purchasing 1 , plus i got a sweet enail setup now and of course my Evo also for some wax/shatter. If i did have a need for a high quality portable dab type pen i would consider 1. Ty for the heads up on them and hope your enjoying yours.

SORRY!

I did not know you lived in a 3rd world state?

I grew up with fields of COLAS in the WILD.
1984 by GEORGE ORWELL is alive were you live!

The HONEY OIL was from INDIA.
HASH = MOROCCO
The CIVILIZED WORLD makes CONCENTRATES now day's!

Where I live SHATTER is cheap and in HUGE supply.

I use my EVO QUARTS NAIL'S however I break them everyday? (thin TI2 would be better than Quarts or Glass) machine shop visit is due!

At least my W9 Tech stuff does not break as easy!

We are here for the discerning vaporist who wishes to maximize the flavor and vapor quality from their high quality concentrates.

One of the most important parts of a load-as-you-go concentrate vaporizer is its heating element, and ours places the air inlet underneath the heater so that air's drawn across the heater for great vapor production at low wire temperatures. Many other devices air inlets are placed above the heating element, so a higher temperature at the heater is needed to create vapor, and passive draws cannot draw cool air over the heater to cool down the hot wire and your oils. When oil can't be cooled, it will drain due to gravity, this contributes to flavor degradation

We use Grade 2 titanium wire which is inert and delivers exceptionally clean flavor when heated. This pure heating wire is wrapped around black porous ceramic wicks which soak up and absorb oil, allowing it to be held inside the wire coil, where it feeds into the heating wire. Wicks hold oils instead of allowing them to drain downwards where they'll bake and lose flavor; quartz rods cannot wick, they are only there to hold the shape of the wire, and they deliver 'hotter' hits compared to ceramic.

The Omicron's Alpha Centauri system allows for interchangeable heaters including a quartz rod version of that same heater if you do prefer hotter hits, and our easily rebuildable 1701 ceramic donut's an awesome option for terp chasers. It comes with the Alpha Glass mode to see vapor production and learn different techniques for use, and it includes the Centauri Cartridge cover made of stainless steel for durability and discretion.

We go one step further and have a third cover, a portable bubbler for the top of your Omicron called the Nibbler AC to add water cooling & moisture conditioning to your vapor, too!

If creating clouds is the only issue of importance, there are a lot of devices that may meet that need. If flavor, efficiency, quality, and longevity (warranty/support) matter, you might wish to consider our devices.

Just received my v4. Very interesting looking indeed. Stylish, well crafted, sleek and compact. Made with pride obviously. Always love your packaging. Won't have a chance to use it right away, however. Could be a week.
What is the lifespan of one of these O-rings? I think I'd like to have spares sitting around. Anybody know the sizes ?

So i had the V4 on my lap and when i got up it fell straight onto my big toe and then onto the floor
Holy shit that hurt
I thought my toe was broken. And the v4? it's as if it got newer as it drained that life energy out of my toe lol
I dropped this thing so many times too and hardly a scratch on it
