No it's not off when you don't press it. Even if you set it to on demand, there is a temp indicator. What I'm asking is: is the temperature when you're not hitting it equals to what you set it to, or below it. Like, if you set the temp at 180C at on-demand mode, is it 180 even when you're not hitting it, or below that, and the vape just ramp it up when you hit it, like a true on-demand vaporizer?
I'm asking because If it acts like a true on-demand vaporizer, the heatup time will be different between session mode and on-demand mode obviously, because it doesn't need to reach the temp you set it.
Duh, I told you how it works. In “On Demand” mode heater is off, push the button it’s on and heats up to set temp when you hold the button for up to 30sec, then it’s off and temp drops. There is no holding temp it will go cold if you don’t hit button again. This pretty simple device much like the Goleaf Go. This “true on-demand” device you speak of I have no idea and never seen yet, there’s boost mode. On Demand is what is says, heats on demand as long as the button for the heater is pushed, not pushed heater off.

I only just figured this out the other day, and it's why I had such a Bad Time with on demand at first. There is no haptic in on demand, so you have to watch the screen. I wish it had a brief haptic pulse when at temp in on demand. So if you aren't paying attention, or it takes a long time to hit temp, then you can have it time out right after you start pulling and end up with nothing.

Now that I know this, I'm able to get really amazing use from the on demand. In fact, for all the trash I talked about it, it's what I use all the time now. Great to take a pull every few hours, and even holding the button for 15 seconds is nothing near the pain of waiting 5-10 minutes for the desktop to warm up!

Dosing caps are, of course, still a game changer across the board for me.

Any videos of someone doing an on demand hit? What’s the real world heat up time for vapor to form?

I was out of the house all last week and didn’t bring any convection devices with me, and it was pretty miserable! Kind of intrigued by this cheap plinker, but maybe I should just get a TinyMight to beat on.

Oh definitely get a TM if you don't have one yet. It excels with a j-hook or bubbler at home and travels well enough with the included short stem, although I never use the stainless cooling unit if I can help it.

And yeah, I'd also be keen to see some usage clips or cloud porn from the v3pro: it seems to check all the boxes. As long as it's capable of ripping and not just sipping I'd love an option like the V3 for uses where vapes like the TM are a too expensive or fragile.

I bought a V3 on la centrale (so It is a katalizer Vap) and It have haptic function on demand. Is It an add on?

check out Vapefully, i bought a 4x pack there
Out if stock 🙉 i decided to buy It from lacentrale (but damn, 3 caps for 12€ without shipping vs 4 caps for 11€ with tube). It Will arrive this week

Or get a new V3Pro and a couple of ounces with the saving and not worry about all that glass from a dodgy seller. :2c:
Or a dynavap M. It is a good cheap combination (but i suppose everyone on here has one)

True, sry.
No need to be sry, I love my VCs too, I just like the V3 more mainly due to the less restriction...ease of use also gives a win to the V3 IMO due to not having to carry/use a separate heater.
could the V3Pro work as a convection heater for a dynavap?
I am just starting to get over the normal flu...only 2 dabs on the Dnail in 2 days and barked like a dog, the PPP was easier but still infrequent.
So I will not be able to test for you for another few days @vandalizedbythelotus as I have only been able to get smaller clouds with V3 in my current state...but at least I can get the vapor in/out without ripping a lung from coughing.
So much for staying on topic...sry

since we're talking, could the V3Pro work as a convection heater for a dynavap? like a portable female WS ...
Yes, i dont know if It is like a WS since i dont have one, but you can use a dynavap as stem. Just fit the dyna on the silicone piece.
If you want It for on the go, i have to say the original MP is easier to use, but It is good to know you can combine them

It vibrates in On Demand mode when it reaches temp as you hold the button?! Does anyone else here see that? Mine does not. @PPN
It does not vibrate in on-demand mode, only when you turn the device on and off with 3 clicks. It does not vibrate when it reaches temp or when it times out on on-demand. It does vibrate in session mode when it reaches set temp and when it times out and shuts device off.

Not on mine, just like @Petetbay explained.
Edit, I will also add, my thumb hurts already...session is so much easier and it gives you haptic feedback. Just 3x clicks when you are taking your last puff to turn it off, the unit cools quickly with the amount of airflow, this will preserve the load if you need a little rest.

That’s on the radar too! And it does seem like it might be a little better for beating up outdoors.

That said, I did get to try an iHeat not too long ago with a similar spiral heater to the TM and thought it was really quite nice.

Thanks for chiming in everyone. Interesting that most of ours don't have the haptic indication of reaching temp in on demand, but the EU version does. I'd prefer to have it, for sure.

I could just use session mode, and triple click before my first pull is done to cool it down.

The Xmax V3Pro is an entry level device, much like V2Pro (which was terrible) I purchased as my 1st vape 5 years ago for $99CAN same as I just paid for the V3Pro. It is a nice small bowl portable convection vape with absolutely no body heat and nice cooling mp(can get warm/hot if you do a couple back to back bowls at max temp). It does work pretty good with capsules making even better on the move. Should not be mentioned in the same sentence as Tinymight, Rogue maybe.

It is not the EU version. It is a katalizer version. It is a brand by lacentralevapeur on france. If you buy It on another shop on EU It would be a normal xmax v3 pro

Well aren't you special with your feature rich French vape edition! :D I'll try not to be jealous, and thank you for clearing that up.

Yeah there is a separate thread for katalyzer vapes where it was confirmed they have a customized V3 pro with more vibration
