What up family? Sorry for not being more active on here if I could work FC on my phone would be more convenient, but it wasn't vibing when I tried it and I'm just not at my work station as much as I used to be (a double edge sword I guess). That said, please never hesitate to ping ShadowVape at
info@Vriptech.com if any pressing questions or issues with product we always want to dial in Flavor Country as fast as possible for whoever is searching. It's our Mission. I like to say it's your ritual, your session our tools because there really is a lot of variability in how our tools can be used to best match the preferences of the user...at the end of the day it's about getting the fullest spectrum results everyone would want if they knew the difference with the confidence that you're not getting anything you
don't want because the whole path heating, extraction and delivery is glass.
Lazylathe stoked to have you Vripping again, but to be clear that is older gear for sure. We tried the metallic coil to help wtih thermal transfer and quicken warm ups and also to extend the life of the glass cover years ago, but got away from it because the coil would eventually break down and discolor the glass and so many customers said they liked the uninhibited glow of the ceramic element under the glass. If it's working for you enjoy it (you can optionally remove the coil) and if you have any issues let me know we may still have some of the older elements to swap out when the time comes or will sort a legacy customer discounted swap out to ease the pain. Sorry there was confusion on the model spec when you got it, but we do still have at least a handful of the older rigs running out there because we get pics every once in awhile of people looking for the 2.0 replacement glass covers. We switched to the 3.0 element back in 2011 I think because it was simply more robust and reliable and it did require we retool the glass cover slightly to what we are currently still running, but many of the 2.0 elements (what you've got there in the pic) still performed well for years and I'm sure many are still providing clean heat today. Looks like you got one that hadn't been used much if at all! Makes me all nostalgic seeing it! I have one stashed for the collection somewhere.
Biohacker I wish we had a chance to look at your downstem on the VWT you had and felt too restrictive as the downstem can make a huge difference and we have had some variances in the jetting over the years with some downstems having more restriction than others. I have had the girls packing orders compare to a sample downstem for some time now that is right about dead center perfect IMHO and we've had very few complaints about flow rate...we can also pick one with the least resistance or even provide one without the micro diffusion and just an open end if special requested (we've got three long time customers I know who prefer glug glug to micro diffusion so they always special order the downstems the old school open ended stylee). Relative to water tools made especially for smoking or dabbing ours will tend to have a bit more restriction by design as I've noticed it helps people to better milk the vapor proper without as much breath control required. For the Yogis amongst us with patience and excellent breath control it doesn't matter and the beauty of our system beyond the all glass purity and neutral polarity is the modular nature --- put our bowl on whatever tube or bubbler you prefer, low drag, mid drag or high drag and you're seshing your way. I've had some of the best Vrips I've ever had through Toro, Sovereignty, RooR and Mobius pieces that we've got in rotation amongst the crew here, but I use a VWT PerK as a daily driver at home and on the mountain in the geodome (I just love the ergonomics and function) and have a VWT BuB in my mobile kit I usually carry in the truck. Which reminds me we had a client send a picture of another adapted BuB rig awhile back where he took a double ended male to male adaptor and was running a VapeXhale hydrotube he loved on the BuB base as more or less a standard configuration water tool for Vrips and he swore that the restriction helped him milk it up better than another water tool without the restriction. All about personal preferences and configuring to best meet, but if the water pipe ritual isn't your thing VRIP probably isn't the best fit...if it is your thing we got your back, your head
and your lungs well covered.
We don't get asked as much as we used to back in the day when there were only a few dozen vape companies (probably dating myself here), but we still occasionally get asked what vaporizer we think is best if someone wasn't feeling a fit for the Vrip because of the fragility of glass or the water pipe ritual not being their thing. At the end of the day it's about what you'll use the most in my opinion. Vrip is really about self regulated (besides the potentiometer setting you can alter pull rate and/or the seal integrity to adjust temp on the fly) use of a neutral polarity heat tool in a water pipe ritual in pursuit of the ultimate inhalation...we've never tried to be the most modern, the easiest or the cheapest or the most durable it's just not our model. We're a glass based company for sure. The analogue controlled VHW stands as a testement to what I like to call the superiority of the "human sensor" as the reality is that the best vapor extractions require a thermal curve NOT single temp stability contrary to what many teach (including me before I more fully understood) and out of all the fancy digital controls out there very few have readouts that are actually accurate to the point of extraction where it counts. They do look cool though. To get the highest level of accuracy requires a metallic probe in your heat path (really inserted into your herbs) otherwise the best you can get is an approximation --- with analogue you know the baseline and from there it's on you to finesse to the thermal curve that gives you what you prefer in vapor qualities. With our clear scientific glass aesthetic and function you can literally watch your herbs getting vaporized with the ergonomics of most water tools...you can literally see if you're extracting as you want it by color change and/or back drafting from pausing the pull once you dial in.
Alexis I'll check for your email for sure and thanks in advance for the interest and support. I'm not sure what is the best fit for you the Herbalizer or the Vrip, but getting to Flavor Country within the realm of taking old school water pipe rips really is our model's high elevation (pun intended) uniqueness in the space I think. No hoses or balloons or holding large heat units required, but a plug and a good place to session comfortably is required and a willingness to dial into the tools to figure out how to best use for your preferences and this can take a couple sessions sometimes. It's like my favorite vapor concierge SticksStones says it's not the best model for every session perhaps, but it works well for those "special occasions" when you're not in a huge rush. It's best for when you can take the time to enjoy not just "vapor", but a really accurate representation of the flower in all it's extracted full spectrum essence's glory with or without a hint of smoke to taste. And for many of our clients that's the only kind of session they want. For others it's their weekend or evening session while they use pens or other portables during most days on the run....these clients get an extra level of satisfaction I think because they assess the difference regularly.
The market is crowded these days and there are a lot of excellent functioning devices so it's really about what fits one's preferences and routines the best and what material concerns you may or may not have relative to what you're inhaling thermally extracted vapor from. We're focused on our Qualitarian/Flavortarian niche because that's me and I don't see us changing that up. I also have a huge preference for water and/or ice conditioning pre-inhalation as it's the heat and dryness that does the most damage and not all vaporizer configurations mesh well with water pipes or bubblers.
More on our low temp dab rig coming soon!
