Next year is going to be a good year!

Here is a handful of photos of the upcoming stem accessory for VerdaVap. This will be sold separately and will attach to existing VerdaVap 1.5s out there in the wild. It will also of course fit on the upcoming VerdaVap 2.0.

I'm fucking pumped, it puts a smile on my face every time I pick this thing up. Really happy with it, and I think you guys are going to love it as well!

Hey, anyone have any issues getting the cap off to put in the beads? Just got mine today and the cap does not budge. I tried heating/cooling, wd40, etc and nothing. I'm assuming it turns counter clockwise but tried both to be safe. Thanks

I got it, needed a lot more heat, quick ice bath, and it screwed right off.

Glad you got it off!

It's reverse threaded, so righty loosey when putting the beads in 😂

I made it that way so under normal use, when you're unscrewing the thermal mass chamber to refill, you are actually tightening the cap so there is no way to accidentally unscrew the cap and drop hot beads.

This has tripped a few people up! I have included a QR code with a setup video, but that is easy to miss. I will be making a little instructional initial setup and use document to ship along with the device from VerdaVap 2.0

Well, sadly it's over. I hate writing this post, if you go over my post history I'm almost always being super positive about the various devices that I'm using!

But as of 6/2/2025, I think we sadly need to add VerdaVap to the graveyard of great ideas that were ruined with shitty service and communications, and arrogant treatment of customers from one of those companies that we've all experienced, who think they're doing the whole world a favour by developing devices.

The VerdaVap 1.5, designed to be used through a water piece, works really well. It was one of my favourite vapes of 2024!

The VerdaVap 2.0, designed to be used through a newly designed stem, works terribly - the plant matter comes straight through the screen, straight down the stem and into your mouth. It's entirely unfit for purpose

I've spent the last 5+ weeks trying to get a response/public acknowledgement of the problem/suggested resolutions. I didn't need a fix, I just needed some acknowledgement and some ideas.

So far, the only suggestion was to let it get dirtier so the reclaim in the stem might catch the plant matter... I've since been waiting another 3 weeks for further suggestions. (As someone who uses cannabis in part to treat OCD, the notion of having to let a vape get dirty so it will catch the contaminants is literally, physically nauseating to me.)

Got pretty sick of it after all that, I went to their discord, and asked why it had been over 5 weeks, and still no public acknowledgement of the problem or commitment to a resolution.

Since then? They've accused me, one of their biggest supporters (as you can see all over FC), of plotting to take their company down, they've suggested that all the criticism is in bad faith, now their public face is actively abusing their longterm fans, and they've taken to deleting entirely reasonably, good faith feedback.

What a really sad way for a company to go. We can all have a bad day... but they've doubled down for a second day today, and gotten worse in their abuse of people who committed their time, their money, their ideas and their support, so it had to be called out.

To be honest, the Tornado leaves it in the dust as a device anyway...

And believe me, I see the irony of recommending a Vestratto device over anything from a customer service perspective!! I guess Vestratto never broke my heart the way VerdaVap has, cos I hadn't invested so much of my time, my ideas and my kind words into it :(

On the discord channel on the 29th you said you discussed the plant matter situation a month ago. VV apologized for the lack of updates on discord and said he might have to redesign the filter and will definitely be looking into this.

But you kept doubling with posts that were, yes, aggressive.

Today he said he is going on vacation but will try alternative filters, And your response is to post on FC that "it's over" and touting the downfall of the nascent mostly one-man company because problems with the pre-release haven't been fixed - even after the owner said he's looking into it?

I'm still waiting to hear back about a screen back from nearly the start of the year. Can't get a reply on the discord. May have hit a road bump and quietly stopped production. Shame I really rated the first version, and think the 2.0 has/had potential to be awesome.

It still bums me out that the verdavap 2 "early version" (don't call it a beta) was defective and unfit for purpose, and that they weren't prepared to deal with the situation. Still sits on my shelf, still looks so good... still doesn't have a new screen designed to resolve the defect after 6 months.

More than the vv looking good though, I used the vv1.5 for the first time in ages today after getting a few signs (including this thread revival) - and fuck me if this thing doesn't still rip. It kind of annoys me how much I still like it after everything that happened!

If they can ever sort out the screen issue, sort out their production and re-build trust with their community who were paying to test devices, maybe it could be one of those companies where the product is good enough that you just knowingly deal with issues surrounding it.

I've got 40 that are ready to go... I'm just going through some fiddly stuff with getting the payment processor onboard so we can accept card payments. Stuff I should have done earlier 😂
As soon as I can I'll be bringing people onboard to handle the stuff I suck at/ don't like doing...
I appreciate the patience!

Pranayama; of a sort.
Let me tell you a bit about why I have lost my appetite for VerdaVap.

I stumbled on VerdaVap back at the first stage, back when the device was a modified Bundaberg bottle with a bunch of plumbing grommets and rubber hoses and metal pipe.

Having not previously found a good Australian vape maker I decided to try and work with VerdaVap as a early tester. I had previously spent a bunch of time testing other devices and really enjoying the process of beta testing.

I received the initial prototype and spent months back and forth discussing and iterating over VerdaVap designs with the maker in discord before v1 was even a thing.

The truth is that significant portions of his designs were influenced by the beta testing group and instead of giving credit to the community, the maker decided to claim ownership of all the ideas as his own.

In his YouTube videos he talks about all these ideas as his own when realistically he was asking the discord community for advice on which way to go with different designs features acknowledging that he didn’t know the vape space.

A number of people felt slighted by the makers disregard for the community that was supporting him.

Version 2 comes along and a few beta testers are offered the opportunity to buy a pre-sale device and provide feedback on it. They provided a bunch of feedback on the device and raised some issues that needed resolution and instead of supporting the device the maker goes on holidays and stops responding to messages.

During this time I am offered a device to test and provide feedback on but I was told I wouldn’t need to pay for it as they valued my feedback. I reply that I appreciate it and didn’t expect it, that I really look forward to providing feedback and seeing how the new stem works as that’s something I was interested in from the beginning and spent a lot of time discussing his designs as I don’t like using a water pipe.

I never got the device and I’ll explain why.

I’m in the VerdaVap discord and one of the users that bought one of the presale devices was explaining that they bought a presale device and there were problems and the VerdaVap makers were not responding to requests to fix the problems. They provided no support for several month in the end only recently providing replacement screens as much as 3 months later.

After watching this back and forth for almost a month I decided to comment in the discord that the user who was complaining had been nothing but supportive in both providing feedback and helping to spread the word about the device.

The moderator of the discord, a fellow owner, decided that both the user who paid for the presale device and and anyone who stood up for this user were blocked from the discord and subsequently removed from any beta testing.

That’s where I stand currently, blocked from the discord and with the maker not replying to my emails or messages - not because I did anything - but because I stood up and said that it wasn’t right to make someone pay for a device and then not support that device.

In other-words buy from VerdaVap at your own risk

VerdaVap they have shown that they don’t provide support with in a reasonable time frame. They don’t respond to emails or support requests and if you try and raise this in the discord channel, they are more likely to censor you and blacklist anyone who stands up for you - rather than provide any support.

It’s really sad.

It'll be interesting to see how getting a payment provider plays out for them, I don't see one going near them without them being on the ARTG but stranger things have happened. Smart move getting a lawyer though, will likely prevent them screwing up the simple stuff like they have done in the past (it's hard to imagine having to change who the beneficial owner is being due to anything but an error).
