Had the Mighty for years and loved it, just upgraded to this. I did a full iso wash of the cooling unit and then turned it on to max temperature to make sure there was no residue. Got hit with a strong smell of plastic that got much worse when i tried taking a couple non-inhaling draws through it.

I also have an extremely expensive and high-quality Dyson air purifier in my room. It immediately started going crazy, showing values of PM 2.5 and PM10 that I've literally never seen before, and I just lived through the LA wildfires a couple miles away, so I've seen some really bad air quality.

If I smell my cooling unit, I can still smell the strong smell of plastic. The heating unit has a similar smell but much, much more restrained.

Does this happen to everyone, and I'm just being overly sensitive to the plastic smell? it doesn't have that slight "new" plastic smell to it, it smells strongly of burning plastic. I've never been this skeptical of a new vape's effect on my health before, and I did things like buy the first generation firewood 12 years ago.

EDIT: Well, I think I found the source of it. If I remove the mouthpiece, you can see that one side of the little circle (used to pop out the sealing cap) is shinier and looks a bit warped compared to the rest of it. it looks exactly like what would happen if you exposed a bit of the plastic to extreme heat and it melted. This is so unbelievably disappointing, the entire reason I was willing to spend $500 on a vape was because I trusted this company. Don't even want to think about what chemicals I inhaled while testing it, jesus christ.
I have never ever smelled burnt plastic out of a S&B vape. I also stopped iso washing their vapes mouthpieces first thing cause I heard they do it beforehand and there’s hardly any smell on their stuff imho, ever. Months ago I bought an Xmax v3 nano and that smelled of burnt plastic.
You can attach pics to your posts but you have to host them somewhere else like imgur.com or imdbb.

Pretty sure I saw your post on Reddit. That’s how the mouthpiece is supposed to look. It also makes 0 sense that the mouth piece melted - which is the furthest point from the oven and nothing else did. That means your hot vapor had to travel through the CU and somehow melt nothing but your mouthpiece. This doesn’t make sense and this seems very fake to me.

Third day of e04.
E04 is more frequent than before. On the first sessions of the day it may happen a few times in a row but I always found a way to get medicated until now. I starded the Rma process and I will see if they now charge the user for the return here in Europe ((assuming @Dr. G resides in the USA), it would be the first time they do it, and I returned every vape they made at least once except the Volcano).

I confirm this 100%.
I dropped it at least once in the last year and since then the two halves of my Venty’s body were not as tightly connected and aligned as before. I also dropped it 3/4 days ago and that’s when it started displaying the error.
If I get the new version with the upgraded buttons I might get the e04 “Melty” sweatshirt to celebrate.
After 7 days since shipping it, my RMA Venty has been received, inspected and the new one is being shipped out today.
As always, no shipping fees requested inside EU.

Highdea I had while using my old gen Crafty and Mighty while waiting for my new Venty unit: if I was Jurgen Bickel I would start selling upgraded Venty style cooling units for Crafty and Mighty plus, with the metal filter instead of the long snake style vapor path.
