VAS: Vape Aquisition Syndrome The malady we love to hate

Vapbong and a SupremeV3 slayed my VAS.

My Dani fusion 2 stopped my VAS until I lost the screen for it and it does not work right with normal screen meaning I had to go order screens and you cant just order screens if the postage would cost more.........

Vapbong and a SupremeV3 you say? I best go check them out and hopefully then this will stop my VAS.

A Vapbong just might stop your VAS! Jk, there's no stopping it. But a Vapbong should stop your VAS!

Silver surfer with baller heater and tempest with wand have cleared my purchasing compulsion....

Only curious about the bakx but it can surely wait
The elev8 ballers are so good. Nothing but tons of cool, comfortable, tasty vapor.

Yeah, if you get enough heat into it it just goes and goes. Hope you get better results.
I don't know what I chaged, but I am now happy with the M7 tip.

In other news, now that I have a TM2, a Venty and a Tempest head on Revolve Gen2, I really felt that I finally have everything I need.

Oh yeah, sure. We know that spiel. Here we go again.

So, I gotta say the Angus Enhanced is pretty nice at the price point. Especially with the case and all the attachments. The side bubbler is much nicer than I expected. So yeah, I will admit that this purchase was VAS. Totally. But now I'm done.

Yeah, just for a short while.

Turns out the Tempest is currently my most used device. No wonder it is sold out at madheaters UK shop. And the EU shop. It really is an awesome device. And extremely versatile with all the configuration options.

Great. But what do I do when something happens to my Tempest head. It implodes. Or is somhow lost? That would suck big time. Especially with it being sold out until at least mid 2025. So, as long as verdampftnochmal.de still has them in stock, I'd better order a full tempest (in green, my Revolve is blue).

I feel that my newly developed and totally legitimate interest in having a Tempest available at all times is now much better protected. So there.

That's a good one. I gotta remember that.

Lol!

Now let me decide which TA I will use.... ; )

VENTY is really revolutionary I think. Nothing could be better, in my opinion. He killed my VAS. It's strange.

With this the classic volcano, which I love, for big sessions.

A collection of 4vapman. With exceptional woods.

a vaponic, cult of simplicity and taste, practical.

A beautiful, simple stickybrick Jr. piece.

A firewood9, resold, because I liked the look and the materials. But ultimately not the experience it offers.

But otherwise, nothing appeals to me anymore. I did the trick!

Oh man, you're in for a treat. I've had mine for a while and I'm impressed. It'll take you to flavortown and back. I was surprised that it's good enough to steal time from my Solo 3 that is my fav portable. I used the cable and cranked down the default temps to get more low range. The glass capsules are sexy and awesome.

I have a Tornado ordered and just waiting for it to ship. It'll be my first Vestratto product and I'm excited for that too.

This morning I had a nice bowl with my Prrl Neo and later in the day had a couple of insanely tasty toots with the IH Vaponic.

I love that DHV is just getting betting and better. We really have an embarrassment of riches these days. So many good vapes out there.

I think VAS is just down to how much depth dry herb vaping has. So it becomes like a hobby. People go beyond spending what they need, as they are enjoying a journey of discovery.

I don't feel bad about buying new vapes, as I always sell others. I only have 2-4 vapes normally. My finances are not unlimited, and others may not have the need to sell before they buy. I want to experience all the best. The only reason I'm happy with my current line up is because I learned many lessons from the many vapes I've owned.

DHV's give us ritual, healing, medicine. Personally I have a chronic pain condition. So the ability to ritualistically manage pain and stress levels, with something so deep and interesting, that you can become skilled at, is incredibly valuable. My spending is commensurate with the importance DHV's hold in my life, and the value they give back dwarves the expenditure.

This VAS thing is quire real. I only got my first vape, a PAX Plus last May and it got used infrequently at first. But i practiced using it and feel like i can get decent performance out of it. Eventually i started getting feelings like there was better things our there than the PAX. I liked the concentrates options but the PAX is quite messy with them. So i started researching Concentrate only options. I ended up getting a Boundless Terp Pen Supreme and i could really taste the Concentrates like never before. But the terp pen has many faults. The coils in particular get really messed up and i guess i could buy more but the Puffco Pivot looked real enticing instead.

So I ended up pulling the trigger on the Pivot and i have really enjoyed that. It seems it can consistently provide a hit while the terp pen just came off as weaker. If i had a complaint it is that the battery life is limited and there are times i would be out and i just didn't have enough battery when i needed it. Right now i try to keep at least one of my vapes with a Sativa-ish strain and the other a more Indica-ish strain. This too can be a reason to perpetuate VAS you want a variety of devices to accommodate what i want to consume.

I think my next move is to get a POTV Lobo with all the water attachments. This would SUPPLEMENT the PAX rather than replace it. I love stealth more than anything and this is where the PAX excels. The Lobo might be a step behind that in the stealth department. A Mighty would never work for me for that reason, besides the price. I like so many things about the Lobo, (extra battery, dosing capsules, myriad water options)

But its not really that hard to justify a new purchase. Not to mention i am dying to try a butane vape like a Terpsicle or Dynavap. So many fun options!! my eyes kind of glaze over when i see seasoned vape veterans with like 60 devices they have!! The never ending journey.

So my question is like with RedZap above my post here: where do you sell old devices? on here?

I've sold quite a few on here. In the classifieds section. It's my preferred way. Before I knew this forum existed I sold some things on Ebay. I also sold one of the very first burl Dynavaps to a collector through reddit.

My rule is all my vapes have to have a niche. If I have two devices that overlap too much in their use cases, then one gets sold. My ZX is my powerhouse desktop. Yet I'm waiting for delivery of a coiled Quartzcap. Mainly because they act very differently. The QC has more conduction, has a slower session like extraction, and will be better with sticky squidgy hash. While the ZX just handles the snappy one hit flavoursome extractions all day. My system would not allow me to purchase another typical ball vape however, as the ZX is already covering that niche, and does it better imo.

Once I got a Tempest I sold my Dynavaps for example. As they were obsolete and no longer justified their place in the line up.

This system keeps costs lower, and alows to experience all the best vapes. Each vape teaches you something. It's the only way to refine your taste and know what you truly look for.

I would vociferously deny that I've acquired VAS, while at the same time I'd grant that any impartial observer might believe otherwise.

I'm in an active acquisition mode. Targeting "tools" for different jobs.

This forum and the great members here have been invaluable to me, both in proving direct help and by being able to read through back threads.

My life was upended by a (to me) shocking divorce. 33 years together. A beautiful home on a huge lot in a desirable neighborhood. A dog. A cat.

And a son, who I wanted to leave our home. Now I have a month to relocate.

Fortunately I have a beautiful condo in Laguna Woods, a massive "active senior" city-of-its-own that's near some of CA's most beautiful beaches and the world's most perfect weather.

As "living well is the best revenge," I plan to live well.

Over the past year (while dealing with the insanity and the drama) my consumption skyrocketed. Medically necessary.

The "consumption" lead me to concentrates and then to dry vape.

My only expose to dry vape has been 15 years of Volcano sessions with my buddy. Until fairly recently.

I'm "converted."

Anyway, to keep myself in a positive headspace I'm trying to think of my move and my new single status as sort of like when I went off to college almost 50 years ago.

I'm going to have fun.

I'm told that what once a "cocktail culture" down in The Village, has a not-inconsiderable (and growing) 4:20 community. I'd like my place for folks to come "party" and to me to me able to introduce others to a variety of fine vaping products. Lung health is important for all, but seniors, you know. Turning people on to dry vaping will be a mitzvah, I should hope.

So yes, I'm in full acquisition mode.

This doesn't read like a "confessional," but it feels like one. LOL

Good for you man. Sounds like you have the money, time, location to create an amazing lifestyle. I would come hang out with you in a heart beat, once you get some nice vapes. I'm in rainy England though. I really enjoyed reading this.

I will definitely enliven my new community. LOL

For 64 years I felt like a happy, positive, and optimistic person. The past two years have been hell for me.

Emotional pain overwhelmed my mental health.

Now I'm looking forward to making a new world for myself. Meeting people. Making new friends.

Why not have a fine vape lounge for entertaining folks in my new place or while out on the go?

I have a feeling I'l be a bit of a pioneer in The Village, but it is a huge place (20,000 residents?) and perhaps there is a vaping vanguard already?

There will be soon. LOL

All those things are pretty much true. And for a 66 year old I'm still rather dashing, tall, strong, lean, and fit. And I have dreamy blue eyes. LOL

Actually they are grey. Anyway.

When you are ready to escape the drizzle, come stay with me in Laguna. I'll have an extra bedroom. The weather is perfect almost every day of the year, so anytime.

And we can cruise around in my classic 2003 MINI Cooper S. A bit of England right here in SoCal. And I'll have Marmite stocked, just in case.

You got it all man. Put the last few years behind you. Sounds like you are in a position to make your life whatever you want.

California is on the list. So I very well might hit you up.

Seriously, you should. My place is conveniently close to Disneyland (if you like that sort of thing) and if you have never seen beautiful Southern California beaches (along with oak woodland forests) I'll be in just the spot. Come on over.

Take a look at the Tafee Bowle (Series 2), it's a little different from most vape gear.

It might just impress your fancy condo neighbors, without weirding them out...

Wife and I, in our 70's, really like ours.
And, btw, it kicks butt as a vape!

I've seen those Tafee Bowls. I heard they produce delicious vapor. And they definitely do not look "scary."

That last aspect, while it might factor into possible future recs to others, is somewhat problematic to me.

I wish to be considered somewhat dangerous. LOL

Hey Bill. Really sorry about the last two years for you. That sounds like a really painful time. I hope you can reinvent yourself and find a better life.

I have to say that when used in moderation, dry herb vaping has been a godsend for me. Aside from deriving pleasure from my hobby, I've discovered it has a lot of positive health effects. I consider it nature's natural antidepressant. It's really helped me with my stretching and recovery time from the sports I love.

It has helped me survive my worst nightmare come true. Enough said about the latter.

I'm hoping that in the new future that things will be so much easier for me. The consumption levels will almost certainly drop, but dry vaping is definitely going to be a part of my healthful lifestyle moving forward.

And if I can be an influence on others to choose vaping over combusting, all to the good.

I am the beetle in a box that only you can see
I have used Vapmans pretty much exclusively for almost 2 months now, after laying fallow for a good 18 months. To get honest, I've sort of lost interest in the 6 or 7 others manuals that made up my rotation, including the long anticipated Tempest. Strange.
