VAS: Vape Aquisition Syndrome The malady we love to hate

...

Anyway, this is a thread to talk about your VAS and other related acquisition syndromes and maybe how you manage them or fail to do so. You can describe how yours developed, what it has led to, how you keep it at bay or can't and whether your partner suffers with you or makes you suffer. Enjoy.

The wife's breaking point was my collection of Ghost MV1's. I really try to only buy one only except glass (always have a backup) now a days

I have VAS and I like it ;)
But this time I want to take advantage of the moment and I don't want to talk about vapes and numbers rather than thank the person who let me do my thing without even complaining. My Wife
THANK YOU
Thank you for supporting me even though you probably can't always understand my crazy behavior. Seeing me satisfied is enough for you. Luv ya 😘

(Think she will never read this but at least it was said)

Although it may sound like my referral to "The Wife" is made in a negitive vein, please understand that it's made with all the respect due someone who has put up with my shanky ass for the better part of 45 years. Except that one time in 1998 with the 2 bottles of mescal ...

I got my first vape, a Venty, in February. Now I also have an Arizer Extreme Q, a FireFly 2+. a DynaVap B, and a Vaphit X-stem. And I want more! Help me to decide or give me options.

Considerations:
- I am a flavour chaser, not a cloud chaser
- I am a sipper, I have baby lungs so I am not much of a ripper
- My wife insists on me vaping outside, so I have a preference for portable
- I have the Venty so something a bit smaller would be nice
- I like easy to use, I want to sit and vape and think, not sit and vape and fiddle my the device
- for me butane vapes are too fiddly for the taste
- the FireFly 2+ is also fiddly and has a small oven

Ones that I am considering are:
- Angus Enhanced
- ConVex by Entheos
- AirVape Legacy Pro - though I am put off by the draw resistance

Any thoughts or suggestions on feeding my VAS?

used both my legacy pro and ff2+ today , no contest the avlp w/ capsules lets you remove the micro disc and airpath/intake screen to open up the airflow and greatly reduce cleaning. I've got limited lung capacity too, so between the dynaverse and avlp, I don't need much else except maybe a purple tm2 wwich uses the same caps btw.

I love my AVLP dearly and even more so after getting the caps. However since the solo 3 has entered the picture, I haven't fired it up in 3 weeks. I don't wanna abandon it because it served me so well...

It's still way more stealthy as a portable than the solo so I'll keep it around for those occasions or maybe I'll gift it to someone.

My problem is trying a "style" of vape, then embarking on a campaign to find the best, most versatile of those options.

I went from no Dynavaps to 6 Dynavaps in the space of 2 months. (including options like the Revolve stem)

I went from that to an Anvil, Stunner and Dani Fusion 2 over the next 4-5 months. (Including various stem, USA/WPA and pipe options.)

And after I'd done that I waited about 3 months, then went from no ball vapes to 3 of them in literally a 3-week period. (Including various bowl options.)

just, more of the same?, or abundance in moderation, the expanding dynaVAS, the m7 hickory's hyper big brother is on the horizon.

It's so hard to pretend VAS is a problem when vape makers keep releasing new products and hitting them out of the park.

Not all of them are amazing. In the last 6 months or so I've bought a Core 2.1, a cheap Xmax Riggo, and a mate's B1 - these are misses that I don't find myself using much

But in that time I've also received a VerdaVap, Flower Kettle + Electropath, a Ruby Twist, and a PuffCo New Peak, which are all not just incredible pieces of equipment, but are each that exciting kind of gear that changes how you vape. It's more than a fair trade off to buy the occasional fail to also get something that, in the case of the PuffCo, might literally change my life in how I can manage my back injury.

That’s hilarious, I love it!!
How’d you find the stunner versus fusion 2?

I think I’ve seen you on the tempest thread so you must have liked the stunner enough to buy madheaters refined version of the vape style?

As I've mentioned elsewhere, I thought I had my VAS cured after ordering the Venty in February and doing the airflow and great cooling happy dance for awhile. I was doing OK - or so I thought - until the beginning of July, when I stumbled across a vape store in Germany, that had "rent before you buy" offers on several devices (https://www.mojamba.de/verdampfer-verleih/). I had the Tinymight 2 in the back of my head for awhile and here was an easy way to try it.

Of course, being the fool that I am, I stumbled into that trap and now own a TM2. This purchase was justified by the idea that NOW I finally have everything and never need to buy anything else.

Now, roughly four weeks later, the Tempest comes around and I start thinking that just getting a Tempest head as something permanent to stick on my Revolve 2 might possibly be ok. Hey, it's less than half the price of a full Tempest. It's a good deal. But we had VAS cured. I know, but this is the Tempest. So after some back and forth with myself I am now waiting to see how long it takes to ship from Croatia.

There is a silver lining (really?) to all of this: The urge to buy any of the cheap battery powered vapes around 100-200€ has totally gone away. I have enough of those to no longer find that device class interesting. And none of the are even close to Venty & TM2. And luckily (in this case) my lungs really hit their limits with the TM2, even on a bong, so no need for crazy expensive ball vapes. Yay!

My screwball just arrived and already checking to see what I could or should I say will buy next..........

YOU know who I blame for all this???? that forum Fuck Combustion.

This place >>>>> https://fuckcombustion.com/
This place is more dangerous than you realize when you find it.

My first impression of this place that you were all crazy, too much. Now I would say I'm worse... Dangerous place.

I've learned practically everything I know about vaping either from this site or from doing it myself. All you combustion fuckers have emptied my wallet multiple times, and I suspect you will continue to do so.
Inappropriate blame is not unheard of in my life. I still blame my mother for my lifelong search for the nipple...
