Vapman

I've been thinking of the "Trinity" of vapes thread, and how me--for the moment--there would need to be (at minimum) of a "Quadrinity" of vape types to round a collection:

1) A desktop. In my case one ideally suited for flavor-chasing and microdosing, with the potential to go big. Have something on order.
2) An electric portable. Covered
3) An easy out and about portable that works with butane. Covered
4) An "exotic" that helps provide a "zen" experience. Ritualistic.

The Vapman (for me) I expect to fill slot 4. It better! LOL

I'm in "tracking mode." ETA this Wednesday. Two days. Anticipation.

Station and Olive Vapman arrived last week but I did not really have an opportunity to test it yet. I already love the look of both though :D.
Is there any risk of combustion in higher settings? Don't want to ruin anything...
I've never really heard anyone do it. I think it would only be possible if you cooked your herbs super-aggressively beyond the point of vapor production, but I'm not sure that's even possible.

I would think in normal use it would be pretty much impossible to combust.

I combusted once with my former Italian station on setting 6. But I tried to push the load as far as possible.

I think I may have accidentally combusted (or came very close) with a tiny amount of traditional hash today. 0.03g in the wok (no sieve), heated aggressively with butane. It certainly produced smoke (not vapor) but by the time I inspected the solids in the wok, it had gone out. Still vapable it turned out, and no funky residual smell. Not recommended though

Loving this combo if only the lighter was wood, too... What is the lighter model and the wooden container in the middle if I may ask?
the lighter is a xikar allume single torch. and the wood container was made by an old man who does wood stuff from driftwood and sells it at a local museum thats build from old houses around the 15th century. he does that stuff all by hand with tools from the same times as the people did in the history.

So far I am honestly a bit disappointed with the station. I barely get any vapor before dial 6 yet if I go past 7 smaller parts of flower close to the middle of the pan get scorched. I have to give it more tries maybe I am doing something wrong but "your herbs are heated to perfection without the risk of burning" was the main selling point of the station for me after all :(.

When your VM sits on the station, does it wiggle a little when you touch it? Does it work better in any of the three positions it will fit as you turn it? Check for these two things. If you find either or both your heater stand may need adjustment (this lack of consistency and power is exactly what many of us were experiencing; the adjustment cured it for me and others). When your wok seats completely you will be able to turn it slightly but it won't wiggle. If it sits well in certain positions but not others, the heater stand is probably slightly off-center relative to the shape of your Vapman. Also if it sits well in certain positions but not others, you should be able to get at least halfway decent results from the additional contact in the better positions before you adjust. After adjustment it should seat perfectly in each of the 3 positions.

In any case, you will need to make sure (by touch) that you've seated it well for best results. A properly fitting station will be almost mindless to seat well on, but it is still possible to seat it less than perfectly on a well-centered heating stand.

Instructions for centering your heater stand:
It's not hard, and you shouldn't have too much trouble sorting it.

Thank you, that might be the problem. After a quick test 1 of the 3 positions looks a little off center and the Vapman does wiggle when pushed. The docking part looks centered though but I'll have a closer look tomorrow.
Mine didn't look off center either, it was more the way the vapmans looked on it that I could tell by. Watch from above as you turn it and you can see how your vapman may look closer to the wall at some points.

The Vapman 2.0 deserves more words of praise than it will receive in this short post.

In short, this device delivers almost precisely the experience I imagined. Which is a good thing. A very good thing!

You all painted a very accurate picture.

Last post I finished wishing I had some traditional hash (old Bill consumed some pretty special hashish in the day), but--having no current source--I thought, "What about some of this newfangled domestic hash?"

Strange to admit that I have zero experience with domestic hash, but picked up some Nasha "Red Press" Sour Diesel x San Fernando Valley.

That proved a fabulously tasty break-in.

As it made relative judgements as a dry-herb vape difficult using hash, I have subsequently tried multiple strains of flower. Also delicious.

I love that I can indulge my low-temp, terp-chasing proclivities by going light with the torch.

In my limited play (well, not that limited, LOL) I'm getting hits at are as sweet as any vaporizer that I've experienced.

And I enjoy the ritual. If I had one vape, this might not be it. But I look forward to having and using this beauty for the rest of my life.

I do have one request of Inhale or intrepid accessory producers. Please make a refill tool like this one:

It seems to me that there is enough room at "the notched" part of the Vapman for a stem to pass over it beautifully. And then a chain or lanyard could make such a pick harder to lose.

Thanks to Vapman community for the encouragement. You lead me right. I appreciate the amazingness.

I am curious, if you had one vape what would it be?

Did you used hash with the sieve ?

Also you can use the pins of the middle section to remove the funnel. Or just leverage on the edge of the funnel with a finger.

I have semi-mastered removal of the ring, which was a bit fiddly at first. But ease of removal is a secondary criteria to having the ability to teather the funnel to a keychain, a case, a lanyard, or some other object that makes losing the ring less likely.

I am curious, if you had one vape what would it be?

Aside from historic exposure to a Volcano, my exposure to dry-herb vapes is pretty recent and limited.

A recently purchased Tinymight2 Purple Heart might be hard to beat for "the one," if there could only be one (shudder the thought). LOL

The Vapman produces vape that is equally delicious to the famously flavorful TM2, for my taste anyway, it is just more niche in how it is best used. Slow and chill. A plus and a minus.

I also have a Dynavap Hyperdyn w/ Inspire Wand. Very nice.

A desktop ZX from Phase3 is on pre-order. Pretty much all forum favorites whose qualities gibed best with what I value (great flavor, efficient at microdosing, can ideally go big when desired). Together I think I've curated some world class gear in record time.

Don't regret any of these acquisitions.

I just toss it into the egg after loading.

That's the strategy I've employed over the past 18 hours or so.

It is getting old already and the odds of my becoming disassociated from this do-dah, without keeping up the highest levels of vilagalence, are pretty high.

I'd love to have one I could put on a chain when out using the Vapman as a mobile device rather than at home as a desktop.
