On setting 9 i need three heat/draw cycles to get the first visible vapor
When you set it on the station does it look perfectly upright? If you turn your VM one position, does it sit any differently? With one of mine, if I seat it carefully and in the same position (which I think means it's at maximum contact) it sits perfectly upright and works fine. If I turn it it one position in either direction, it tilts very slightly off-axis and heats noticeably worse.

When I set the Vapman into the well...I have to turn it slightly so it drops into the well and sits perfectly without a tilt. If you have a tilt it has not gone down enough into the chamber. When down into the chamber if you touch the Vapman it moves but, when placing into the well initially you have to kind of find the right circular motion where it just does a small drop in.

Hello vapman family, I just spent the hole day testing all stations with different vapmans to really find out what could be the problem here.

1. I have checked several docking parts and I can assure that they are the same, so no issue there.
2. Each station is calibrated by me and David to the exact same temperature +/- 2C, so it cant be a calibration issue.

So i came to the conclusion that it can only be a positioning problem of the vapman on the docking part.
This can either be caused by a damaged vapman, i.e. a vapman where the pan no longer sits straight in the grip ring due to a bump or similar, causing the vapman to touch the edge of the heating station.
Or the docking part is not perfectly centered and the vapman is not sitting straight because it is touching the outside edge.
Of course, it can also be the case that the vapman is not placed right in its position or is placed on the station at an angle, but than the user is the issue.

we have manually aligned each heating station with the vapman and tightened the screws very firmly, but i would still ask you to check these two variables on your heating station/vapman.

If the docking part is not centered causing the vapman touch the edge of the heating station, there is a simple solution.

1. open the 3 screws by one turn
2. center the docking part by moving it to the appropriate position
3. switch on the station, allow it to heat up and then tighten the screws.

hope this helps! :)

Right, but this is after it's fallen into the slots. There's a bit of room to wiggle and seat it, but with some they will not sit evenly no matter. It's a slight amount, like a mm or two, like it's solidly seated but on a slight angle. Not sure how better to describe it but you can see it particularly with a tall MP or by looking at the VM compared to the rim, you'll see the discrepancy. With others you can see that it's perfectly even all around and those seated like that work perfectly.

Edit: I will check, but my docking piece seems centered, fwiw.

Viola! That may have done it!

Mine was not noticeably off-center but as I began testing several VMs looking from above and turning each to each position, it became apparent that it was very slightly off. I moved it slightly and compared my worst and best working VMs in all positions until it looked centered, tightened it back down, and just tested it with my Pure Olive, which hadn't worked hardly at all, and it's chuckin' clouds, as they say!

Give it a shot if yours seems off. I will test further to verify my data but I think this was the solution for mine. Thank you M&D!

EDIT: Just checked another that worked in one orientation but not the other two and it is now working perfectly as well! : )

I guess I didn't notice it because if the post is off-center it may not be obvious if the sides of the heartpiece's top don't touch the station wall that the lower, wider part of the heartpiece IS touching the sidewall, preventing it from seating perfectly. This would explain both why I could feel wiggle room and also why it would lean slightly in one direction.

Thank you Michael and David...it is wonderful to hear from you. My regards to Rene...stay well.

These are the three that work best for us which are the new 2.0 available...a few OG...but, we are happy. My favorite I think is the Olive 2.0...

Did it. Positioning is a bit better. Now the station is no longer recognizing the vapman v2 (doesnt start blinking). Older vapman gets recognized and Station starts to blink....

Greetings, I love Vapman and especially with my tiny bubbler from GRAV labs...it is just perfect and gets me sky high...also, you can see my beautiful ashtray from the HEIR collection...I am using the Olive 2.0 Vapman with the water attachment. The herb is Northern Lights. Perfect for a rainy afternoon...enjoy everyone.
PS The tiny herb jars are from 420jars...the nice tint on them so light does not hit the herb. Stays fresh.

Those look like they might be rebranded Infinity Jars. If so, they work very well.
All the same. I purchased from them too....but, the tiny tiny tiny jars I got from 420 Jars. The other people have a step up from the tiny one. I love them...its perfect for Vapman.

I bought that from 420 Science long long time ago...years.
