i know the feeling, happens everytime with orders from the united states. these are probably the default shipping costs, not adapted for the tiny little screen. ask Rene, whether he could be so kind and send you the screens in a letter envelope. should be a lot cheaper. if declines, there are always friendly users from Europe here on FC

If i wasn't picking up a kit to give as a B'day gift I think I would hold off and fashion my own screens too, I couldn't believe the $16 shipping fee either when i was checking out and decided i would wait until next week since i want to give a VM to my nephew for his B'day next month and add Them to that order so shipping is free. So now just hoping they don't sell out this batch of screens by the 3rd.

I was having the same issue when I was gonna order the screens yesterday and than this morning I got an e-mail from Rene @ element-medical stating:
"We noticed that you wanted to buy some sieves for concentrates and you probably
thought that the shipping is very expensive, which is the case, indeed. Our shop does
not allow us to have different shipping prices for different products, this is not ideal, as a
lighter costs far more to send than a few sieves. Please send us your order and address to this email
address and the shipping will cost only half as much as ordering through the shop.

So I guess maybe try to purchase the screens than leave them in your "cart" for a day and see if you too get an e-mail.

fu** VAS i am considering buying a vapman (i already bought me a lotus)... so do you think that the new sieve will be included when you buy a vapman (in the future) or do i have to buy it extra... because at verdampftnochmal a web shop it is not included and you also can not buy the sieve there... and i don t want to pay for the shipping from vapman only for the sieve... (i am not ordering directly from vapman because i would have to pay extra tax for importing which would cost me in the end more then ordering from verdampftnochmal) otherwise if you think it will be included in the future (and if future is not longer then one month) i would maybe wait... sorry i know it is a question to ask the fortune teller but yeahhh maybe some one knows... and on the other hand if i make a false decission i can can blame it on otherone

i asked verdampft, wheter they are going to sell the screens separately. still waiting for the answer. my guess is, it will not be part of the standard package, since not everyone has a need for it. magic flight still sells the concentrate trays separately and they are in about the same price range.

First of all: I love my Vapman!
It has completely displaced my desktop unit (Herborizer - which nevertheless is a really good Vaporizer). I tinkered with the idea to get a second one just for fun (and somehow I would like to collect them all!!!). When I saw the Yew Tree Model and the news about the new screen I couldn’t resist anymore. I went to Amsterdam last weekend and I hoped previously, that the new screen would be for sale before I would leave for my trip and because of the delay, I contacted Rene and he was so kind to add a screen (for testing purposes) to my Vapman Yew Tree order. I was really thankful and happy about that because I wanted to test some other goodies with my Vapman – in my region, you have not much choice and it is not easy to get some acceptable herb (mostly some same tasting standard shit) – and it is almost impossible to get some hash or even wax, oil etc. So Amsterdam is with 2 ½ hours by express train a true Mecca for me. I went there already for a couple of times (in times of combusting), but this time i wanted to discover the Coffeeshop culture in Adam with new eyes - or rather I wanted to offer my taste bulbs new experiences. And oh boy, this was better than I had ever expected. I had the luck to taste some really good types of hash and enjoyed some delicious “Blue Cheese” Wax for the first time. And what can I say? So delicious, so flavorsome – I’m really happy with this. I love to see melting the Wax like butter, when I reload the already hot screen/pan. You really need so less material and even vaping herb with the screen is a new experience as someone mentioned above. Vaping hash is also awesome, but is sometimes a little bit smeary, and my screen looks like heavy used, but I have not noticed any decline in effectivity or quality of taste – perhaps it would be a good idea to use different screens for either hash, wax etc. Here some impressions of my trip!

If you're thinking of just buying the concentrates screen from Vapman - here's a message I received earlier......
"Regarding the sieves, we are aware of the high shipping costs when only ordering sieves. The only solution at the moment is to write an email to us and we do an invoice manually with a lower shipping fee"

Awesome Seren,Max over at Lotus did a similar thing and shipped the lotus plate kit in a plain envelope for a few dollars.If you're thinking of just buying the concentrates screen from Vapman - here's a message I received earlier......

I m really liking the screen in my little vapman and I'm eager to try the official Rene designed sieve soon.Using a simple I/2 screen in the vapman works well but the official sieve/screen has Vapmans stamp all over it.
It looks quality,edges are seamed and therefore I'll never have to worry about stray bits of screen breaking off and being inhaled.the edges of my current screen bend back and forth if I'm not careful when I'm brushing my vapman out.
Great shots Joe,I guess we may be seeing them sometime on Vapmans fb page.he seems to like pics of his units in the wild.

it is so nice to taste this different sorts of flavors - at home, i went through a tasting with just minimal amounts - my mouth and my sinuses where filled with a mix of flowery, spicy and earthy flavor - love the new screen

I have ditched the funnel, my fingers are too big to manipulate it easily. I'm using one of the brides treasued antique sterling silver salt cellar spoons instead (DON'T tell her) and it works much better. One spoonful is perfect for filling the Vapman. It's quick, easy, and also good for spreading and retreiving any material spilled around the edges of the bowl. I got a replacement on Ebay last night for $8 so I can return my girl's treasure before she notices it's missing. They are all over Ebay, from $0.99 to $2,500 each. I plan on getting one of the $2,500 ones to see if it really works that much better than the $10 version.

I too fought that ring when I first got it. Many's the time I'd have a near perfect fill going only to spill some getting the GD ring out so I could put the top on.
I then changed approach for a while. I'd load the base sitting in a small metal mint tin. Just let the excess spill out of the pan (let the tin bottom keep track of it). Then, after fitting the top, I'd shake off any excess and close the tin again (with the spilled bud in it) until I'd spilled enough to make it worth while collecting it (which of course went into the next loading.....).
Then I changed my technique. Dropping it on and poking it into place is actually pretty easy, even when you're clumsy I think. And it does make loading easier. The hard part (for me) was fishing it out again without messing up the load. Then, the little light came on. By pushing down gently on the rim of the ring with one finger at the milled out spot (6 and 12 o'clock in your bottom photo) the far side of the ring pops up making snagging it with the other hand very easy. Easy to do, it just takes a flat place to set the VM and both hands......and everything you need is in the egg. And on your hands.......
