For everyone that is taking my post as negative (or that's how it appears), please read again; although the handling of my issue(s) wasn't perfect, and the fact that I had 2 Clouds die in such a short period of time is also far from perfect, I did also indicate that VXL, in my estimation, did everything they could within reason to get my issues resolved quickly and in the end they've done their best to make amends and have treated me fairly and equitably and have communicated relatively well throughout the process.
It's worth noting that the point of failure on my prior 2 Clouds has been replaced with a more robust component (the mainboard is a new design by the way as that's one of the key components upgraded from Cloud to Cloud+ from my understanding); so hopefully that means these 2 Clouds won't suffer the same fate. It's also worth noting that it may have something to do with the stability of the voltage so I've started using a voltage regulator (APC Line-R 1200) to eliminate that possible problem point.
I'm still a strong supporter of VXL and will remain so. I hope the next time I require service it will be much more expedient, but sometimes shit happens that's out of our control. (I sent my unit in when they were in the process of switching manufacturing facilities, starting international production, ..., and not everything went smoothly and I unfortunately suffered an extended wait time through no fault of VXL's). With any luck I won't have to ever send these 2 units in for service, but if I do, I'm sure VXL will do their best to get me back up and running as quickly as possible and barring all the obstacles they were facing at the time of my last services, it should go much better
You can't make everyone happy. Would everyone be happier if they increased the size of their team (being such a small team) and increased the price of the Cloud to cover the extra costs? ... I actually think this would make some people happy ... but probably not the majority ... it's tough to run and manage a small business with a small team while working other jobs (I can attest to that) and some amount of leeway and empathy should be extended in my opinion ... just my 2 cents.
