Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud

Sooo... that international release.

As hopeful as I am I really wouldn't get too excited, they have a lot going on and I believe demand for these things has skyrocketed in the US as its gotten more out there.
Pretty much the sole motivation for getting a move on with the international release is the fact that they still owe some international customers their clouds at the introductory price offer (which was an absolute steal BTW).
I was gutted when I got my invite email shortly after they announced that they weren't sending them internationally any more. . . What a tease.
I'm sure it will come eventually, and while I still check this thread borderline constantly I've kinda' come to accept that I'm not gonna get one for quite some time.
Last date mentioned was early 2013, but I reckon it could be much later. That way you can only be pleasantly surprised.

There was talk of MAYBE a small 220V run before then but I wouldn't count on it.
Any update on the situation would be appreciated, and, in case you didn't already know international customers can buy one by PM'ing Troi apparently but you don't get a warranty which IMO isn't worth it.

In regards to PM'ing Troi i don't even entirely see the point of that because I have yet to hear of anyone successfully running the US version with any converters. It's so lame to think I might potentially have to wait another year... I could of never imagined all that time ago when vapexhale first started up that when they finally released their long delayed product that they'd end up having a separate release date on the 220v model :/.

Also in regards to "Pretty much the sole motivation for getting a move on with the international release is the fact that they still owe some international customers their clouds at the introductory price offer" I don't entirely agree with you're opinions here, I reckon there is indisputably a market overseas and a lot of desperate customers waiting. I know dozens of my friends over here in Australia well aware of VapeXhale and interested in buying the Cloud.

I swear I've checked this forum everyday since it came up and checked the website almost every day since it emerged also... I recognise there is a small team behind this and they can only do so much. But to imagine that it wouldn't even come out early next year is BEYOND disappointing.

Cloudy...
I'm another international costumer with the original release reserve waiting for 220v unit. The good part (only trying to be optimistic) is that when the 220v is ready the cloud will be fully tested and the release units will be more problem free.

Being on of these people, I certainly agree and waiting patiently for the international version ;)

While I completely agree that there is no doubt a huge market for the vapexhale cloud abroad, I was meaning that I believe (pure speculation) that at the moment vapexhale have their hands somewhat full already supplying the US, and probably don't have much too time to think about the rest of the world while they are already so busy. But yes I do think they will get round to it for profits sake as well.

On a side note, anyone remember the video they had before of the torch powered Vapexhale Rain? That thing looked dope as fuck and would be fully international.

treeman,
okay so I gotta question.
I've heard about noon is a good place to start with flowers, and turn up/down from there
if I plan on vaping some shatter out of a cotton ball in my cloud when it comes, what approx. setting should I put it at?

Not true. I was following the cloud from the start and got in before they cut off international orders. Mine is still working perfectly, i love it. Can't tell you how pleased I was to get in before the cut!!! I would wait rather than buying one now though. Not worth the risk without a warranty imo, but if money isnt an issue then the risk might be worth it. It is one brilliant vape.

Please stop!! I don't want to have to buy an unwarranted cloud!

While there have been technical challenges for the international version and VXL is as well bandwidth constrained, a factor not to be overlooked - which may very well be the largest hurdle now - is the regulatory compliance for importing a product like this. The name and governing body escapes me at this moment, but I recall this being discussed by VXL a few months ago and from past personal experience I can attest to this being a major hurdle. That said, IMHO it would be wise for VXL to provide a progress report.

As far as using noon as a starting point for flowers, I think many perhaps most here would recommend starting lower at ~9-10:30 and working up from there as desired. Each Cloud is not necessarily identical to the next, and personal preference aside there are other factors which influence choice on the dial. Many users have 2 or 3 presets, depending on session and the other variables. Just my :2c:

Yea I have an older cloud which from what I can tell runs a little hotter. So my preference for most of my flowers is 10 o clock. But then some strains are at noon for the same cloudage. It all depends on you flowers and your preference like said above.

Just to clarify, you shouldn't use "cotton BALLS" as they are not typically 100% organic cotton, but instead use the cotton found in good Q-tips/cotton "swabs".

ok got mine, packaged professionally, everything was there, proceeded to do what i have read and seen on videos plus it came with a warranty and instruction sheet. Unit is prestine and looks incredible, not to small, not to big, the shower dome is made well, pretty thick, Turned the unit on then minutes later took it to noon, added water to the dome, packed the elb with about 50% ground. put the elb in, plopped the dome on top and.............................................

I experienced the best vape ever hands down. i have many, some are really good, this out shines them all, many hours in now and it only gets better, changed temps and played around a little and this is a 11 out of 10 unit by far. I did the 2 cap method with a little keif,a dn empty elb and one with ground in the bottom and both were amazing, do not hesitate about buying one, its worth every penny and outperforms everything i got. I had huge vapor form my first fill and it only got better and better, absolutely an amazing product through and though.

i was wondering how to use wax, just used the your qtip method and walla, pure heaven.

Heres the two cap method

The paint method:
Painted the back of the top screen with a little bit, and went to town at 1:30. I must say it is super tasty and super clean, it definitely gives my Ti a run for its money.

After waiting on stock, my Cloud/SwaggerTree got hung up in the mail for an additional 10 days. It felt like months. But I received my delivery notice card in the mail today! I am going to pick it up from the post office in a bit :D

It seems easy enough to use from all the videos/posts/articles I've seen. But is there something I should do to the unit right away prior to using it? Anything to double check / make sure of first?

Needless to say I'm unbelievably exited. Tonight is going to be a write-off.

Just run it for a little bit to do the initial burn off. I didn't wait long before I packed my first ELB. Have a cloudy evening!

I did a burn off for about 4 hours and blew down the glass vapor path a few times from the bottom periodically during the burn off.

Yeah this is true and i think about this also but i also ponder if the 220v version will have it's own set of problems :(

Of course it will have it's own set of problems, all electronics have problems. 'Tis the way of technology. However, do not assume the failure rate is high to begin with either. Mine has run flawlessly from day one, used daily... it's running perfectly still and I do not foresee any issues. If there are, I'll handle them with due process and try my best to be patient.

All is well MGG, I do not see any more risk in ordering a cloud for international use anymore than ordering an Ipad mini or other new electronic device. Problems will happen, it's how they are handled that matters. *steps down from soapbox*
