So I finally got rid of my vape collection. That's how content I am with the VXC:
Not the best cutting job, but this was only my first time. However, I'm down to just my CRZ, my VXC and my LaunchBox. I've given away a Volcano classic and a half-dozen other vapes to local friends since I can't really imagine needing another set of tools for the job.
Any other vapes I wind up buying I imagine will be of the portable nature only for the foreseeable future.
If you're a total noob like I am, you might as well watch a pro cut up the foam. His advice of an electric carver and a sharpie were particularly useful and I had no real issue other than that ugly cut where I put my glass tooties and such. In the case of the
Seahorse cases on Amazon like this one, you're going to want to lop off the upper third of the foam inside the case and then cut that out and slip it back into the case. Thanks to PoopMachine for the PROTIP on the Seahorse cases!
Seriously, all VXC owners should be thinking hard cases if they have about $70~ for the case, carver and sharpies. It only takes about 30 minutes to cut it up and most of that is planning your layout. I no longer feel remotely paranoid about storing my equipment.
