Other than it works as advertised, not much to add. I think someone voiced a concern re: off-gassing. I've not noticed any. I probably don't have the most sensitive nose/throat on the forum but I haven't detected any undesirable effects. And for only a couple bucks, how can you go wrong?

Actually throttling the bottom opening has been mentioned several times. Infact SM mentioned not to do it bc he accidentally combusted one time doing this. Pappy it seems to me like your unit is running pretty cold and if its worth the risk to choke the airflow a bit, go for it.I said I was concerned, not worried. I'm able to employ little tricks like letting it sit on green awhile and gently shotgunning the bottom of cylinder, an undocumented trick I know will become popular.
Mephesto are u sure u preordered Nov 2011? Seems a little late to have your preorder filled.
As for the unbreakable 9mm Hoss, my buddy owns one and smokes poppers in it (dont worry i tell him how gross it is everytime i see him). I have seen him literally throw it dozens of time and its fine. On the otherhand I saw him eventually break it with the gentlest tap. He has another, but is much more careful with it now.
Edit: also there probably wont be many preorders filled this week because vxl is taking the week to go over thier stock and make sure units are running correctly.

The reason it breaks with the gentleness tap later is because the molecular/crystalline structure is weakened every time he threw it. That is why anytime I accidentally hit my water pipe hard against something I cringe because I think "oh crap I hope I did not set off the time bomb that will eventually cause my piece to fail down the road."
There is an art to making glass, pouring metal, blacksmith work, and many other trades. It is usually impossible to tell while you are making it how it will turn out till you are done with the product. Even then slight variations always happen. For Hoss to say their pieces can do that across the board is misleading. It might not have broken right then but in the video but he did weaken the structural integrity of the piece by knocking it around a bunch.
Throwing your glass as a marketing strategy to prove how strong it is is not a good idea. It also gives your users a since they can abuse their pieces more when they really should not. Glass is a very interesting crystalline structure. Check out http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glass#Glass_versus_supercooled_liquid it has some great information.
I was always told that the worst thing you can hit glass against is another piece of glass. When I used to collect pieces of glass that is how I would break the majority of them. I had a nice display case and I would go to clean one or reach for one to use. I would end up knocking one over and it would tap against another glass piece. Usually one or both would break if I was not lucky. On the other hand you could tip it over on the marble floor a few times and no real issue. I just love how interesting the properties of glass are.

Are you sure of your pre-order date? A pre-order placed 11/11 would not have been for the $350 price. Maybe you are confusing your pre-order date with the date that they had their false start.
If you did in fact pre-order 11/11 then why haven't I received an email yet when I pre-ordered months before that?

Hi guys,
Yesterday turned on the cloud for the first time, it strarted warming and then 10 minutes latter it stoped working forever, I just check it with a tester and its dead, this sucks since im in Spain and with no other vape to use.
Bryan at VHL already answer my email and it looks like they will take care of me, just hope to get a perfectly working unit this time, not a hot or cold one.
Will keep you updated.

So sorry to hear of those that have experienced problems with the VXC. Hopefully all will be fine(& at least you will have a working unit before the rest of us!). All these posts about failing units, breaking glass joints(or the 'likeliness' of it happening), & asst. other problems have brought up concerns for many. I guess they are unaware that products in this industry often have problems(initially) that are addressed over time, as well as the difficulty of being a small-company w/ limited resources. My anxiety (diagnosed w/ severe anxiety disorders, that can be crippling to say the least) has been extremely high in general as of late due to personal situations. I just wanted to say Thank You VapeXhale; for staying true to your word, & standing behind your product! It is the only thing that eases my anxiety these days...because I feel customer service is extremely important. Way more so than a lousy warranty that means nothing in the long-run. Seems to me whenever someone has encountered a problem w/ their Cloud, that yall have been doing a great job to get that customer back in the clouds as soon as humanly possible. Please keep up this great support / customer service. I hopefully won't be forgotten(that's my anxiety kicking in) & will get an email before too long. 
One question, that I can't seem to find the answer to: What are the current(or available in near future) choices for Hydra-Tubes?! No more SG(unfortunately), but is this true for the SGW as well? What about the Vertigo? The HT that pappy posted which has a gridded tree; will that be available for someone in my 'position'? I chose SGW originally as my 'preference', how will this affect my HT selection once I am allowed to order...will I not be to able to choose a different HT(such as the one shown in pic pappy posted last weekend; the tree with bore reduction & dewarr joint. Would be quite happy with that HT!). I don't want to re-ask questions & contribute to making the thread full of repeats, OT discussion, & the like. Thanks for all of the hard work (the entire team) & dedication. I look forward to obtaining your product & so do my lungs!

Random update after extended use: This thing is the shit. I have it so dialed in I coul'd imagine using any other vape. I always pack the ELB at least half full but almost always all the way to the top.
I use about the 1 0clock position because I found it to be the area where you get the biggest most visible clouds that aren't irritating. I usually get 4 - 5 good hits a bowl, then its whispy so I usually dont finish it. I just had some pinnaple kush and it fucken smelled and tasted like pinnaples first 3 or even 4 hits. And each hit I milk my bong to "WHITEWALL" and rip it LONG. This thing CAN produce the smoothest tastiest vapor that looks like smoke but it really depends on the bud. If your bud hasn't been cured long enough(which is what most collectives sell, even the good ones) the ELB will get this diesely gasoline smell and the hits will be iritating. But a properly cured well grown herb will have no iritation(literally none, I take MONSTER HITS that are as white as smoke, and don't cough at all.
I think people who have problems with vapes it's mainly the bud because most easily available bud isn't grown right or cured half ass. I wanna post a vid today so I can show some monster hits off little amounts of bud, just gotta figure out the lighting.

This sounds awesome! So, would it be safe to say that you aren't worried any longer about being at max temp, and having no head room for higher temp herbs, as you mentioned previously? If so, this is good news
Are you holding your unit by the bottom half? IIRC someone from VXL mentioned that the unit should be held around the bottom half vs near the top.
Edit* PoopMachine, you say sometimes; do you mean after the unit becomes fully warmed up? or do you mean regardless of warm up, it is just an intermittent issue?
I mean sometimes it gets too hot to hold pretty much anywhere at 9.
