I was finally able to try out the VapeXhale for the first time at a friends house recently and man does it pack a punch. Not only does it really look and feel great it really does deliver!

First of all, I second the fact that this thread moves way too fast for me. More peeps need to get their cloud so they can he as high as me and settle down haha.
Secondly, and more importantly, I'm becoming more confused as to how hot this thing is supposed to be. Everyones unit seems to be different. I tried my unit at 12 the other day, waiting until green, maybe one extra minute, and started on my bowl. To me the temp was way too hot. Irritated my throat, left my lungs a little raw as if I had combusted (not nearly as bad though but did leave me raspy until i went to sleep), however after 3 hits when I had finished the bowl the abv looked evenly Brown but not too dark imo, nowhere near black. Every hit, even the first one tasted very roasted, and the taste from one bowl stunck up my mobius and I immediately had to clean it. Also i had to shut it off for a half hour to cool down so i could use it on its lowest setting. Is my cloud too hot? Or am I just overly sensative. If i could relate temp at all i would say noon on my cloud is roughly similar to about 230C+ on my EQ and nearly 2 oclock on my SSV. I really hope my unit doesn't need to be returned. The shipping from Canada is hella pricey and i really dont want to support ups again.

After hearing that VXH is out of hydratubes, I decided to get a piece of glass at a LHS to try this baby out.
I am very, very impressed. So far, the unit seems to meet all expecations and fit all prior descriptions, both in look and performance.

I am sorry to hear that it seems your having issues. From your initial description id say please register your warranty and submit a technical support request. (www.vapexhale.com/support) one thing I wanted to verify, make sure your using a fine even grind, if you are and are still experiencing what you described then its likely that your unit is running hot.
Got my SGW VXC package about an hour ago...
The SGW tube is pretty nice, the perc looks/functions great. The splashguard section is a little cockeyed, but overall a pretty nice clean piece w/no label, which I prefer.
The VXC unit has a couple little scratches on the black, but nothing major cosmetically.
The VXC did need quite a bit of time to actually heat the entire unit up (the green light was on within 5 minutes, but the unit was not ready for any kind of dense initial hit). I actually found I did have to restrict the air hole to get a cloud and roast the abv on the first ELB. However, I realized this was probably because the unit was not really heated up after 5 minutes.
About 20 minutes later I had ripped a couple pretty full ELB's (which are a bit tough to get out at first, but not at all hot) at 3 o'clock. The third ELB gave me the first real cough inducing cloud that I had been looking for, so I can see that it is just a matter of getting this thing dialed-in with a proper heat-up time, heat setting and ELB load.
Overall I am satisfied and my expectations are met with the caveat that I am anticipating that once I catch up to the learning curve I should be able to pull thick blue rips from the word go (meaning first pull, obviously the unit must be on for some time to be heated properly) on a lower heat setting than 3. If this turns out not to be the case I could possibly have a cold unit, but I doubt it.

I treat my warm-up time like I do with the EQ. I don't go by the lights on the Cloud, except as a general idea as to when it's hot. With the Q, the temp reading hits it's mark very quickly, but is not an actual indication that it's ready. My Cloud goes green in 5-8 minutes, yet it's not really "ready". At that point I push the bowl in and let the bowl and meds heat up for another few minutes. This works great, but if I don't want to wait, I hit it right away. This does not give me "clouds", but it does give some great taste! After a couple of pulls, the unit is up to speed and produces "clouds" of vapor 
BTW, SM has given his blessing for our hydra stand project. We have a lot of great ideas and should have the storefront open this weekend. We will also be starting a new thread for "Dead Foot Designs" hydra stands and stations!

i think 12 (400 f) is too hot I have only been there once or twice and did not like it. I stay between 9 or 10 and heat has never been a problem. I turn mine off after I get too high(usually 4-5 pulls at 9 or 10). as far as ups couldn't you send it usps at least. and investigate one of the shipping services that was talked about earlier on this thread.

Hey guys,
I couldn't handle another week or two without trying out my cloud (waiting for replacement HT), so I picked up this bubbler at a LHS. It pairs very nicely with the cloud, and can even be used one handed once the cloud is inserted.
Here are two hits from my 3rd session with the cloud. So far it seems to be holding up to its amazing reputation. Hits are super clean and smooth, vapor clouds are huge. I don't enjoy the hits beyond 12oclock because they are simply so thick and harsh. With the dial turned all the way down the vapor is still very thick and tasty and the ABV comes out light green .

Then you find it better to insert the ELB after the Cloud goes green rather than when you first turn it on? I do the latter, but maybe I'm missing something?

Yea, I don't know - I do both. What I do a lot, is leave it on and come back in 45 minutes or so for another few hits. I also find if I take 2 or 3 hits in the morning and shut it off, I can start it back up at lunchtime and get several more nice pulls. This thing is amazing. And thanks for the encouragement about out hydra stand project. I can't wait to get a site up with FB, etc. i do that for a living, so it's going to be awesome to be able to optimize my own shit for a change!!

Next time you use your Cloud try something out: before you take your first hit (but after having inserted the ELB at initial start-up) take a peek at your herbs in the ELB before taking your first hit. When I've done this I've noticed a slight but sure "darkening." While I don't think that this is a major issue by any means I like to heat my herbs on my own accord (particularly when that initial heat is presumably most responsible for my favorite "volatiles").

I can't help buy notice the vapour looks like "smoke".... i guess it's just that thick, but I can't even imagine if it's harsh at noon what it would be like at 3+.

That kinds goes against what Oldie was saying when he compared it to an EQ "preheat". I'm assuming then if you leave the ELB for a bit (since it's browning), that there will be a herb smell?

the cloud can really give the user whatever he/she wants. Higher temps give more irritating but stoney rips, similar to smoking. but I still don't get that black stuff coming out of my lungs in the morning like when I combusted!

OK so ive used the cloud for about 3 sessions since i got it in my hands late monday night heres how it arrived freaking wrapped like it was ready to be dropped off a building(or skyscraper)
the cloud and hydracirc were in perfect condition cosmetically the splash guard is cut a lil bad but hey its functional and good looking thats what matters most im not gonna hold it to toro or sg standards but im just being realistic it does what its meant to do and looks good doing it
Now as far as the cloud itself im a lil bummed it doesnt work with all my glass pieces being as some glass has the gong joint being close to the tube likes lets say on my new hops tube
i picked up for 4/20 but this can be remedied by a male to female 90* or 45* adapter and k-clip for security lol so no biggie here it is paired with my sov mini bent neck
now for some opinions on the stuff people are complaining about yesssss it ticks who cares i mostly sesh late night after work (get home at 330am most nights) with my girl sleeping next to me yes the tick was noticable at first but once i started using it i kind of forgot but was reminded in between bowl packs but def not crazy annoying and i can live with no biggie
as far as heat i haven't experienced the crazy heating up but my unit has gone cold a few times without warning but its been cold and rainy last few nights so understandable
no leaking anywhere on the HT and unit is overall sturdy
this thing is def living up to all the hype dialed in around 930 (12 is too high in my opinion) i get 4-5 clouds out of it then a few airy but tasty ones and the air flow is ridiculous clouds fill the piece immediately and effortlessly and let me tell you guys my tolerance is up there and this thing had me dummmmmmm after the initial sesh my body was def not ready and im a daily VHW vaporist and just so u know i retired my vhw its wrapped and in the closet until i have a vaping emergency with my new DAILY DRIVER THE VAPEXHALEmutherrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrfnnnnnnCLOUD!!!!!
