I just tried putting one of my cera o-rings (9/16" ID) on my VXC and it is a perfect fit but it is a little thin to make a seal, also once on they are very difficult to get off. I know the cera o-ring are the same ID as the o-rings everyone puts in their solo so......
TLDR the correct o-ring size is 113 and you can get them from PV

I'm happy, my Cloud+ is 1 year old and it still working hard, actually I like to use it with a whip (cause my dry dedicaced unit, the MV, is going back to hermès medical for upgrading), I put a old noble vapor bowl on the Gong with a whip and enjoy the taste!
I was afraid about my unit stops to work since VXC don't honor the warranty but it's ok, and it's nice cause I prefer the Cloud+ design and if I need a lighter vape I get the Nano (which is a lot smaller than the Evo...)
Any idea where can I find a cheap hydratube bigger than F-bomb or PNWT, any chinese counterfeit anywhere?
ps: sorry about this question, VXC, but yours are really expensive for me...

WOW! Just got an old cloud from the classifieds a few days ago and man is this thing awesome! I have been a daily Volcano user for 8 years and while it will not be going in the garbage anytime soon, the clod is a fantastic addition to the arsenal. Very delicious vapor through a little DG, and my stereo matrix bub too! I have been wanting an evo for a very long time, but now with this amazing little guy, I might be able to save the cash...

L4008D Teccor/Littelfuse Sensitive Triac 8A 400V - This is the component that makes the well loved ticking noise, as it switches open or closed, controlling the flow of power to the heater.
Concerning this device. We see that if we bypass this device on the board that we get power
to the heating coil. So we are thinking of ordering some of these.
1. Do you know how to tell whether this device is faulty or the device(s) which are sending the
signal to this device are not functioning.
2. Do you know where to order this device. I did find some on eBay I believe.

I got a little bored and impatient this weekend so I just went ahead and cracked open my own cloud to get a look at the board. For those wondering, it's not easy to get it out, and even requires soldering to be able to get to the thing. Here is a picture of the board highlighted with 18 points of interest:
I think that is pretty well everything, the bottom of the board is bare except for some spare traces. All in all I think this is a very safe and well designed circuit board with the exception of that electrolytic cap and the tc leads.
- Isolated AC/DC Transformer 120VAC/6VDC - While the Cloud is an AC device, all the components, including the processor, are run on low voltage DC power. This transformer puts out 6V

- Aluminum Capacitor - I think. It's definitely a capacitor.
- Contact Points for Heater Positive/Negative
- Front Switch Contact Points - This switch is wired directly to the ground of the board, a safe design that ensures the Cloud can draw no power while switched off. The power switch is affixed to the case as well as the board, you must desolder both legs to remove the board.
- I'm not entirely sure - perhaps a ceramic capacitor? Resistance is 0.03ohm
- AC120V Hot and Neutral Contact Points
- Electrolytic Capacitor - Probably the first point of electrical failure in most cases. Not the best choice for a hot environment.
- Red LED
- Low dropout voltage regulator 3.3v - This converts the 6V power from the transformer into the 3.3V power the microcontroller and LED lights will use.
- This is the microcontroller - but I can't identify it. I think it's Texas Instruments but none of the serials check out
- Panel Potentiometer - Kind of surprised to see it affixed to both the PCB and the Panel. Makes things a bitch to get out.
- One way diode
- Thermocouple leads - note the extra length after the solder joint. This should have been clipped to avoid short circuiting. Less than 2mm of distance between the points when I took it out.
- Green LED
- Programming Headers
- Motorola Optoisolated Triac Driver (Enamel Package) - Enamel package makes for better thermal characteristics
- Solid State Capacitor
It would be worth a shot; TRIACs won't be too expensive. If you take resistance measurements between the three legs we can cross reference them with the working board I have here. It would also be worth checking the driver (white package IC) to see if it is at fault, it would seem to me that is more likely.
Have you thought about trying to procure a board from someone with a cracked cloud and trying to swap them?

It's been awhile sense i posted about my fakexhale cloud, i actually didn't know where to post sense the fakeexhale thread was locked or whatever.
good news is that it is still running, i had one scare a few weeks ago, I was at a friends house and the unit started flashing between red and green, and i was scared shitless. I ended up going home and taking it apart, and long behold everything was fine and when i plugged it in, it worked just fine. i started thinking about what would cause this to happen, and all i can conclude is that the circuit in my friends house didn't have the required power, which somehow lead to the cloud not heating hot enough, which lead to the color changing. the circuit in his room had a tv, 2 computers, 2 eq's and a 1000 watt grow light going at once, and i think with the addition of my cloud there was just not enough power available, what do you'll think?

I've used my fakexhale at a buddies place who has a pretty crazy power setup...
He's got something like 20 appliances plugged in to a daisy chain of extension cords and power boards (power strips).
No grow lights, but there's a tv, mini fridge, home theatre system, 3 computers, studio monitors & other studio equipment, and a fuck tonne of lamps all plugged in and my fakexhale goes just fine.
All that is plugged into 1 (or 2 at the maximum) wall outlets.
He's got something like 20 appliances plugged in to a daisy chain of extension cords and power boards (power strips).
No grow lights, but there's a tv, mini fridge, home theatre system, 3 computers, studio monitors & other studio equipment, and a fuck tonne of lamps all plugged in and my fakexhale goes just fine.

Glad you guys have busted out your fakexhale's and Plus', after having an EVO for a month and getting intimate with it, I never liked it as much as my original Cloud tickers and Plus. It was sent in for recalibration, but even still my Cloud+ outperforms it IMO.

I just dropped my cloud+ onto a hard floor. 
I'm pretty sure it landed on the black outer case but when I move the bamboo a little it sounds like scraping glass with almost a crunching sound. I can't remember if it sounded like that before.
I turned it off and blew into the bamboo and no glass came out. I can pull on one end of the bamboo and the whole thing slides, so at least it's not cracked in half. Does anyone know of any other tests I could do to find out if it's ok, or any other advice? Thanks.

Plug up the bottom and blow in the top. While it's off, of course. If you can blow into it then air is escaping somewhere and you have a crack and it's game over.
I always wondered, why the whole thing malfunction if the broken area is below where all the wires are attached.
I had one bamboo brake about two inches above the bottom, and away from any wires and the thing won't work, why is that?. @stickstones, do you know the answer?

Thanks for the help! I turned it off, let it cool, and blew into the top, this time while covering the bottom of the bamboo with my finger. If there is a leak it's a barely perceptible one. I couldn't hear any leaking but it's hard to tell if absolutely no air is escaping. I'm leaning towards thinking it's actually ok and didn't break, although I'm not positive about that. No cracks are visible.
Would anyone like to try and move their bamboo a little bit and see if it screetches? Mine makes a terrible screech sound and sometimes makes a glass scratching sound too. I'm just moving it up and down about a quarter of an inch.
EDIT- On second thought, please don't break your bamboo on account of this. Mine is probably ok.

Yeah you are good. Its pretty poorly put together, the heater is just floating in insulation. You probably didnt notice it before or the bamboo shifted slightly. Very crudely done IMO. Screeching sound is likely coming from the metal casing and glass rubbing somewhere (usually not lined up or really hard to get lined up)
I know people might get upset about what I said but its my opinion after opening and closing the cloud 3X

I wonder if a chemistry air condenser could work for people with broken bamboos? Likely would need a new heater due to differences in size, maybe something like this:

Just some ideas, there is alot of stuff for chemists that have a 18mm connection, so its not out of the question. The main thing going for the cloud is their software and temperature management. If we could find a decent alternative heater and glass tube; a shit load of people could have living clouds again. Main issues seem to be broken glass or connection on the heater coming undone. Or maybe even could get someone like oregonglassblower or jhan to make bamboo replacement

Don't trust or rely on this company to honor anything that they claim or say...the 1 year warranty WILL NOT BE HONORED. Sent my unit in for repair OVER 1 year ago. Multiple supports tickets, dozens of emails. Most emails asking for more $$$ to upgrade or the best one " We fiscally can't replace your old unit with a new one, but you can pay $250 for the EVO" I asked for my unit back and was told it was not company policy to send out broken units....oh it doesn't matter that I PAID for it! It's mine! WTF. THIS company is a joke, all I need is their physical address so I can't file a claim against them to get my damn money back that they refuse to give me or either replace my Cloud. What a JOKE!!!
