Had a friend over few nights ago. She tried my SSV about two years ago but didn't even remember since she really didn't like how complicated it was and didn't understand how to pull so never got the milky hits I was getting.
She tried the cloud and said she wants a vaporizer after two lung punching hits. It was like she had an ephiphany! I have two clouds and she begged me for one as a housewarming gift.
I parted ways with my SSV so she can try to fully convert but I can't let go of my babies. "Darnell, this is awesome! But I really would like the one we used tonight. It's the shit and I want to be smoking vapors like that!" Priceless.

Guys worrying about numbers like 666 can be a sign of untreated OCD. Other concerning behaviours
- Knocking on wood
- triple checking locks
- constantly avoiding "bad" numbers like 666 and always trying to insert 'good' numbers into situations, like 7 or 5
- Checking your alarm more than 1x before bed

Wow. She gets a free SSV and it's not good enough? It's not only bad etiquette to ask for a housewarming gift, but a Cloud is 20-30 times more expensive than what you'd normally spend. I couldn't afford a friend like that.

Sounds like she was being cute/coy about it. On paper it reads different, but I can envision the whole thing happening with a lot of smiles and a possible water balloon fight. People say that about pets/kids too "OMG your dog is so cute imma dognap his ass" and such.
Back on topic, has anyone heard direct from VapeXL via email regarding perks or selection questions? I'm in at the $500 so we should expect email with
- Choice of Bent Neck or Straight (w/ ice thingies)
- Black or White color?
- What about the San Francisco meet and greet?
- What else comes with the $500 perk level? Extra ELB? Wristband?
- Can you vape concentrates in the ELB? I have a new Krush on my grape hash.

You shouldn't expect email this soon. If I were you I'd use search and read posts by stonemonkey55 and Troi. It's the quickest way to get your info on vape capabilities and company procedures.

Does your hash bubble or melt when you heat it/move a flame to it?
You can get bubble hash that is still plenty potent while not really melting at all. Vaporizing this stuff in the VXC is a cinch, as long as you dont mind breaking it up a bit during the session. I don't even do the 2-cap method, I just load directly to the chamber like I would with bud.
Melty hash is still plenty doable. There can just be more cleanup or invert the VXC over a piece instead of using it vertically with a hydratube.
Got two videos on my youtube using the VXC with only hash

I hate to psychoanalyse from 2nd hand reporting (not qualified to do it under any circumstances), but I'd say the joking attitude was used in case your response was something like 'are you fucking kidding me?'. Is this friend a looker? She sounds like an expert in getting stuff from guys.

Nevertheless FC crew, have no fear, she is a looker but we go waaaayy back since freshman year in HS. On the contrare, I'm far from a bad looking fella AND we've had some spontaneous encounters recently but I be damned if that factored into my decision.
Real friends help out their friends, that's all. I'm a selfless guy.
Back on subject, that was a great question regarding the base size! It would ruin hitting it with big mona for me because it's damn close clearance for me!

Wouldn't be too hard to machine something out of billet titanium rod, either. A little heatsink-based crucible or something, with a lot more surface area on the outside than the inside, that you can just scrape a big dab into then hit multiple times. Would take a little time to prime (could be minimised by minimising the mass of the crucible, but ), but should run fine once the resin starts boiling, and it'd be easier to clean vs a concentrate pad. Bonus points if the crucible can be flipped over, so it can be used with the Cloud in either orientation.
In the end a wicking pad insert's gonna give a more immediate hit, though.
