Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud

Sinclue

OK disagree with me, I can't force you to be right
Can you cite your source for this info please? I was under the impression that all that was necessary was an airtight "seal" between the HT and the Cloud base, and that it didn't matter whether the HT "rested" on the metal platform or not.

Can't speak to the "necessary" or not, but both my ShowerDome and my HydraLine HTs do not contact the metal. Even inverted on my Mobius Ion it doesn't contact the metal. All seal well too.

Thanks Sinclue for cluing us in, I was thinking something of that nature.

I wonder if its at all difficult for the evolver to be lifted from off the tube - If its a bit bigger to fit all the way down I am thinking it would probably slide off smoothly. If I leave the weight on (especially when I first experimented with it), the tube will stick a bit to the cloud.

my showerdome goes all way down to the metal base, it seems to be air tight. my shower dome moves freely on top but looks like the joints go together all way. and my male joint on cloud is stick out so its not pushed in at all.

Using the search function, limiting to official VXH results, I only find this:

RE - wiggly male joint, this has been covered before but the wiggle is intentional. The previous versions of the Cloud would get stuck to the HydraTube if someone used to much force when joining them together. It made pulling the pieces apart extremely difficult. We decided to shave down a side so that when the Cloud is full inserted, it would still make an airtight seal but allows for a slight wiggle so it would be easy to decouple. That is not to say that if you pushed both joints together, they wouldn't stick, but the possibility of that is now greatly reduced.
FWIW, my Cloud works perfectly whether I adjust the joint up or not. I tend to not want to move it around, so since it has settled, I just leave it alone.

Thank you, that may be beneficial in me understanding more about my cloud - I don't know if I'd be able to tell, but looking at the glass joint it doesn't appear to have been shaven down on any one side. The number on the button of the unit is in the upper 200 range

Yes. It's to allow air threw. That's how the device operates ;-). If it was closed you would have no airflow. :-)

Hope this helps.

VapeXhale guys, can you confirm if its safe to leave the Cloud in an on position and have a power cycle occur threw the outlet using like a WeMo or a timer box? Would it be best to put it in the outlet then power strip then cloud or power strip, wemo, then Cloud. Thanks :-)

Catching up...

If some glass touches the top of the Cloud BECAUSE the glass core moves up and down then the loose core is the fault, not the fact the glass touches the metal, IMO. None of my original Clouds had a glass core that moved in anyway, and none of the HTs touched the metal.

Sadly, my newly received Cloud is just like Cannabinauts in that on initial power up it REALLY stunk and its glass core moves a up and down a good inch as discovered when dealing with fat ELBs. That smell and loose core is not something I previously experienced.

MacRadish,
I wanted to share my cheap solution for a hydratube stand. The beer cozy idea has been done before but these kind of cozy's are especially good because they suction cup down making it even more stable. Not as pretty as that glass stand but it gets the job done.

I know I've see this on earlier pages, but I still wanted to show mine.
Since I have a hydraline, the drink stand is not an option.
I used a 18mm bowl I wasn't ever going to use and glued it upside down on a 19 cent piece of tile with some silicone.
Works great!/Looks good IMO.

Thanks, SliM! I always benefit from your posts.

I've just finished an ELB spiked with a bit of hash, since it's almost bedtime for me  . I don't typically use hash, but I got a huge chunk a few weeks ago and I shave a bit off now and then on certain evenings, mixing it with my flower of choice (right now being some tasty pineapple something-or-other--kush, maybe?). Regardless of whether I make a hash sandwich or load strictly flower, the Cloud does a great job with my insomnia issues, which have reduced significantly as I've settled on an effective regimen. I'm glad I have herb available to me as an option, because it's the most effective medicine I've found to combat insomnia and my post-op pain (I'm not keen on pills). I've found the Cloud ferociously effective at delivering the herbal remedy. Cheers, all!

Another estimate from VX on the FB says early 2013. I hoped it would be here before Christmas. :( Oh well, I have to pause watching this thread. I'm kidding, that simply can't be done. My EQ source is slowly dying I hope it will survive until the Cloud comes, it is my only desktop now, that has the nearest performance of my vapes compared to the Cloud, still miles away.

I want this vape so much, very rarely remember dreams, but I could bet I've already dreamt of the Cloud and not once.

Has ruined my day also.... I actually contacted him about this before that post..

Q: Do you think the VapeXhale Cloud will be released internationally before Christmas? :(
A: We sure hope so but we are focused on getting ramped up in the US market first. This is a
very complex product and need CE certification first.

I can understand where they are coming from and recognise that they are a small company..
But this is (for me at least) gotten to the point of absurdity :(. I'm surprised
that VapeXhale seemingly just started working on the international version a few months ago..
(Maybe i'm wrong about this) But i just have this gut feeling that i'm going to end up waiting another 2 years for this vaporiser...

IMO what's absurd is to expect a small start up company, with a high end product like this, to have an international version ready by now. They've been working hard to iron out all the wrinkles in the product, delivery, and service, and sm, for one, still has to maintain his day job. I think that in some cases, expectations for VXL, at least at this stage, are out of proportion with the realitiy of the situation. And many companies don't produce a 220V version of their products at all, so maybe instead of having unrealistic expectations, you should be thankful that they're even planning a 220V version period.

I don't think any of us were expecting to wait almost another year after it was finally released in US.
I mean.. think about it... It released back around March and now it's September and they are hoping to have it out by early 2012. and early 2012 could be next March for all we know. It just makes my heart sink to know I'm waiting pretty much another year for this (after waiting 2 years previously) .. But eh.. first world problems am I right? hehe..

I'm probably going to go get a volcano vape this week.. Then once the vapexhale cloud comes out i guess I'll sell my volcano and get it... I just need a vaporiser at the moment due to my serious bronchitis.

Anyways, i certainly don't agree that it's "absurd" to think after all this time VapeXhale would have some sort of 220v version prepared. And I don't think it was putting my expectations too high to expect it would come out before December.. 3 months ago i got an email saying "It is your turn to order a VapeXhale Cloud :)"
3 months later and i'm at the front of the line for international customers but it's still not my turn. So close.. yet so far away D":

i think the guys, stonemonkey and troi will be delighted there is such a demand for this product overseas, myself and four friends want this so bad, to me this means they have done their job well and will enjoy the royalties opening up to a much bigger market will bring.

i would be more worried if nobody was on here interested from the int market, i think most if not all of us had a little date in mind by xmas, so you guys that already own and enjoy the best vape on the market, just spare a thought for some other people in desperate need of the cloudiness!

Then obviously I have a better handle on where this this start up company is than you or anyone else who shares your view. It's just good business practice to avoid complicating things with advanced issues before everything is running smoothly with the basics.

For those waiting for the international version this reminds me when I was younger and Japan always had the latest games and coolest phones. The USA at the time was the largest economy but Japan had the coolest stuff first. I feel your pain having to wait for an Intl version. Even multinational companies like Nintendo still struggle with multiple country launches. Even Apple which is probably the most successful company at supply chain mgmt ever still struggles and has to limit how many countries they operate in.
