Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud EVO

Well, it didn't end up being that expensive. Bless the internet and China manufacturing. The beast of a converter I got costs less than the Cloud. Trucking costs like 5 USD and next day delivery. They sell all sorts of crazy stuff on Taobao straight from the factories, so long as you aren't buying something susceptible to counterfeiting.

Just glad I live in these times.

Can anybody share any experiences with the entry level tube?

Swagger Barrel?

I'd prefer maximum flow, minimum water diffusion.

Any experiences anyone would like to share?

Just imagine if you lived in Oregon in the US. You could buy it with free shipping and no sales tax and have it within a day. You can travel just across the state line to get legal herb from Washington and it is very likely that it will be legal here shortly. Also, up and down the west coast there are hundreds and probably thousands of different strains to try. These are the days to be living. End the prohibition!! :)

Not sure if this is the place to post this or if there is a thread for the EVO cloud international version. Also not sure if the issue has been resolved, but if not, hope this helps someone:

I live in Hong Kong, where the power is 220V.

I bought a Cloud EVO off the Internet, and I connected it to a 1000 Watt step down converter. It was overheating with green light not coming on at all, and the device keeps heating. At one point, I started smelling weird-things-melting vapors. I was also combusting at 10 o'clock (after being on for 15 minutes and no green light), which means the device was heating way over it's setting.

I went through the support emails...etc., and they basically said 50hz AC is the problem. I went ahead a bought a weight-lifting grade power converter that allows me to control voltage and frequency freely. Now, the item works perfectly. So, the blame of AC frequency is no bs. Anyone wants to use this where 50hz power is the norm, likely not going to work unless you fix the frequency.

I have several questions for the experienced:

1) Can I connect a vapor tamer from Silver Surfer directly to the evo cloud? The tamer is so fancy and pretty, I don't want it (frozen cold) to be cracked by the heat from the evo cloud.
2) How much weight can the glass stem of the evo cloud support? It looks pretty lightweight, and I am always apprehensive with lots of stuff sitting on it, (thinking of vapor tamer plus hydratube) or using it inverted. I am afraid that will all this weight on it, some unintended sideway shove would snap the glass stem.

I don't see them selling the glass replacement stem on their store, so I assume that it is either difficult to break and/or not user replaceable.

Thanks in advance for tips.

I have a question for anyone who has recently had their EVO repaired: How long did the company have it in their possession while fixing it? I am just curious how long to expect (they received my unit last Saturday). I was hoping the 1-2 weeks on the packing slip was just them being cautious, the idea of possibly going 2 more weeks without my baby makes me sad . Throat is rough from dabs, tolerance is too high to really use my Cera LL, and after having the EVO I can barely even look at my Volcano. Damn 1st world problems...

I was too lazy to retype, this is from a few pages back:

So my EVO got really hot and started smoking a little (burning residue from plant matter?) then a lot. I turned it off, unplugged it and looked inside. Most of the bamboo was glowing red and there appeared to be a little half moon crack a ways up it. After it cooled I did the blow test and got no air escape but it does look like there is a crack there even after I cleaned it up a little. Should I plug it back in and see what happens or file a ticket and wait til Monday to talk to VXL?

VXL told me to send it in and I did, now waiting to get her back.

Thanks for the picture. I was more concerned with connecting the vapor tamer directly to the tip of the Cloud. It gets quite not and I wish to know if anyone has cracked the vapor tamer when connected to close to the heat source.

Dom
I wouldn't advise that. If I were you I would be more worries about the glass in the EVO instead breaking over the tamer.

Is it only a matter of time before the next EVO Massdrop? Does anyone remember how much time lapsed between the last two?

I was hoping for a Massdrop deal on just the Evo alone .
No need for additional HT's as I have my own WT arsenal .

They may be successful with that because a lot of current owners
want a back-up Evo . :2c:

From my interpretation of what I've read, vapexhale has an agreement (possibly with investors) to not drop the price below $449. Therefore to have a "sale" the sale is on the accessory items that accompany it.

I see , but the $ 449 is with Evo and HT .
But I just want the Evo for lesser price , minus the HT .
Didn't vapornation offer the Evo only for just $ 359 ?

Ok , I'll just get to my point ...
If Massdrop were to offer the Evo only for $ 300 . ( I can dream )
They ' May ' sell more .

After using wax for months with no flower use what so ever, I recently picked up some Strawberry Kush and AK-47 and decided to experience the full-spectrum of flower once again:

First Impressions:
Taste is light and intricate, but the vapor is hot and harsh, though slightly thin compared to wax vapor.

Lung Feel:
While I can hold a VXN hit without even trying, the flower hit has a "spiciness of the lungs" that seems to tickle a bit more and makes you want to cough. EDIT: makes you cough

Taste:
Good for first few hits, then quite poor. With the VXN I just take a single tasty hit and burn off the residue, so it's always a tasty first hit. But the later flower hits still give strong effects which certainly encourages you to overcome the taste :D

Effects:
Heavy and debilitating. While VXN hits are potent, they seem more of a head high compared to the full body and mind-slowing effects of the flower. I am forced to conclude there are several elements in flower that wax simply can't extract!

In the end VXN hits leave me more functional, but I have a feeling there are health benefits in the flower that probably should not be ignored, I'll have to get more :peace:

Looking at some of these evo dab videos I feel like my technique isn't "right" so to speak. How long do you all wait before inhaling after putting the nail in the evo.i wait about 5 seconds or until I see the concentrate sizzle on the bottom of the nail. In my head I think waiting any longer wastes vapor that I want in my body. Currently taking a break on wax for the 100k I'm working toward but I'd still like to hear everyone's thoughts. Peace and tasty dabs my friends :)

Hey guys, I have a few vaporizers I own. I just bought a Haze vaporizer, have a Sonic & DaVinci Ascent .

I'm really interested in buying the VapeXhale Cloud Evo and with a swag sidetree .
I really need some help on the places I should buy it. I've done so much research online, I'm unsure of where to go.

Vapornation $449.99 - http://www.vapornation.com/vapexhale-cloud-evo-vaporizer.html
Vaporseller - $439.50 - http://www.vaporseller.com/vapexhale-cloud-evo-vaporizer.html
YourVaporizers - $429.95 - http://yourvaporizers.com/vapexhale-cloud-evo-vaporizer.html

I honestly don't care about the price differences really to much, I'm not to familiar with buying vaporizers online. I live in Hollywood, CA and we have plenty of these high quality vaporizer stores that sell thee vapes but for MSRP prices. Believe it or not, people buy these at full price.

I think vapornation might be the best bet though, they seem like a solid site.

I'll wait 3-10 seconds depending on what temperature the EVO is preheated to. Also based on how long it's been heating. 5 seconds sounds about right though :/

It was released late April/early May so there should be a lot of posts around there. I actually only use it for oil so it's a good option.

Here you go. The only thing I don't do anymore since learning it more is pull for so long.
