Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud EVO

Maybe try setting the EVO to 12 on the dial and switch the power switch on and off a few times. I thought I remember them saying that can reset it.

I came from a cloud+ and now have an EVO. My cloud+ hasn't been touched since the day I got my EVO. The one thing I do notice is that you don't have to draw nearly as hard with the Evo as you do with the cloud+.

I would definitely suggest getting a replacement EVO if the above doesn't help at all. I promise you will not be disappointed once you get a properly functioning one.

Im trying your switch on and off trick im gonna come back later with the result.
thx a lot :).By the video that i was seeing the people were milking it very easy in a matter of second when i almost die from the effort of pulling like a maniac lol.

ive got 2 p.m from member who had the same problems has me and describe it as a lot colder then the old cloud and had to resend it back for calibration.

There 2 EVO the god like one and the defective one guess wich one i got lol..

So here's an EVO reviw by HaleyIsSoarx that was uploaded a few days ago. She's pretty popular on youtube--but don't get too excited! Not to be too mean, but this is some REAL lowest common denominator stuff. I mean, don't try to watch this if you're over 18 or don't have a tumblr page. I could hold my tongue after "Coral Reefer's" review (
), but she actually provided some info and seemed to know a decent amount about the product. This is about 15 minutes of "guys....this like...whoa...really cool! I'll definitely be...like using it all the time...and these uhhh 'things'...what are they called? Etc.." I mean does anyone who watches this make enough money from their afterschool, part-time job at the food court to buy one of these? Exposure is exposure, I guess. :\
/rant
Well I know how Haley afforded that vaporizer ;) LOL :worms:

I would like too but its pretty hard to see the benefit of a evo for me now...Do u own a cloud previously? And are u able to create good vapor at noon and big big vapor at max like the old cloud?

My secound vap was the volcano and when i got my hand on the cloud i almost never touch it back too...I miss my cloud so bad :(

I had a cloud briefly, It was a great unit but a properly working EVO is a pretty big step up IMHO. I am able to get pretty thick and incredibly tasty vapor at noon, I start there then slowly worki my way up to about 4 oclock to finish the elb. When I am done the ABV is dark chocolate brown, nearly black.

I know it really sucks getting a defective unit but all of the hassle will be worth it once you have a working EVO in your hands, best vape I have ever used. Period. And I have used many, many vapes :)

Its supposed to be 3 minutes but yeah i try to let the evo warm a good 45min 1h and still got the same result..

Definitely sounds like you have a faulty unit.

Being a previous owner of the Cloud, Cloud+ and now current owner of the EVO, the EVO blows away the previous Clouds in my opinion. Granted I keep my unit at 3pm. But hell it does the trick :-)

I wonder if his bamboo is slightly out of tolerance and causing too much airflow? This seems to be the case in some instances, and for personal reference, when using the EVO... compared to Cloud+....Cloud+ is hotter and must have a bigger bamboo because ELBs are very loose. Also NEVER get that "pop explosion type effect" when putting an ELB in too fast. The EVO airflow is a bit more constricted so i'm thinking smaller bamboo, and same ELBs are TIGHT. Also get that pop explosion effect with the EVO on occasion. This is my experience only.

I find that ISO and shake/soak only isn't enough. The bottom part of the ELB always still have some percentage of the holes clogged. So I use PBW and hot water, and THEN do the ISO, and then hot water and cold water. They come out 99% clean...enough to satisfy my OCD anyway :) I really hate the maintenance of ELBS...I have 8 of them, but they need to be replaced after only a few uses, even brushing them out. I suppose you can keep going, but the walls of the ELB seem to cake up quick.

I'm quite intrigued by the one video here using an Arizer double female bowl....vapenstone, you said you wouldn't do it again? Looks awesome to be able to eliminate the ELB.

I also wanted to join the list of those asking about the botanicals. They have been on the website since the original Cloud days. I'm going with it's a legal thing and we will never see them since they don't seem to be a priority. I hope i'm wrong though, Papa Monkey rules.
It just wasn't as efficient D the elb and didn't taste any better
Eliminating the ELB sacrifices extraction efficiency. They are designed to create turbulence for maximum, even exposure of the herb to the airflow.

Everclear is ethanol. IIRC isopropyl is more effective as a solvent, evaporates more quickly, and is more thorough (i.e., leaves less residue behind). But ethanol is safer to handle.

^^^this!

Oh and I watched that video till she said "the perfect way to smoke out of a vaporizer" then I was done lol

Thx for all ur reply guys :).

I try it one last time and my EVO was making cracking noise when he was heating so i take it in my hand and heard a little metal thing that was floating on the EVO...When u said the airflow is too big in the EVO i see the exact opposite cause the unit is very hard to pull from (look like the solo but a little worst).I will not touch this unit anymore since its back on the box for good.

I finnaly decide to buy back my good old cloud from my friends and im trying to get full refund from vaporizer.ca.The worst case scenario is that i got to pay the 20 pour cent restockage fee and lose 100 buck or i try to open a paypal dispute (this will give me a lesson that when u have something perfect for u like the cloud you dont need to get gready and buy the update lol..)

«when i first contact vaporizer.ca they said the EVo was very similar to the cloud and an update was really not necessary but im hard head so i buy it anyway...If u have a Working Cloud i Highly recommand to just stick with it cause the EVO really seems to be a luck affair regarding is workability.I read back all the EVO and Cloud topic and notice that u guys are giving this company a lot of slack but when u watch it pretty close the cloud was just a failure and the EVO seems to go the same way in my view...I really wish thats storz and bickel was the maker of this product cause the idea is just really great but the engenering really lack.

I'm sorry it's not working for you. It just goes to show, there is no one, best vaporizer for everybody. For me, the EVO is exactly my ideal desktop vape, so much so, I'm buying a third unit off of Massdrop for family.. I hope you get your old Cloud back.

. . . Anyone with a Hydrafoot 2.0, how do you guys like it alone (with only a VXH mouth piece) and what is your favourite Hydratube with it?

There is so much action in the foot, it draws like a champ, really, I believe a person doesn't really need any more diffusion than just the foot and dry mouthpiece. With that said, I usually use my mini-circ or an fbomb from PV (or the hydratree) with the foot.

Aren't there 2 HF 2.0's? The first by Evolver, the current one by Swagger? I also seem to recall a couple of posts suggesting the Evolver was a tad smoother??? (Or is my memory failing again?)

That said, I have the Swagger. I agree with @macbill, the piece has a lot of diffusion. With just a bit of chug but no real drag to it, the action sorta reminds me of my original Circ. Smooth enough and plenty of draw. I use my HydraLine atop the HF, the HL isn't really necessary but it seems to smooth out the hit just a tad more yet no extra pull. I've used the HF with a dry mouthpiece, worked fine, too. And a whip; great for relaxed sipping but with the added restriction from the tubing you get much lighter hits unless you pull a lot more. Btw, the HF is built like a tank.

I am not macbill, but I will voice that when I got my Cloud EVO I never had to send it back. It has worked no problems since the day I got it.

My original Indigogo unit needed replacement. My second unit is working like a champ. I use both daily. Since I've never used VapeXhale's previous products, I can't say if air pathway is restricted. It seems pretty free to me, but you would know better than I.

Do u still know the serial number of ur first unit???

I think you are wasting your time with this serial number hunt. There is no big factory pushing these out by the thousand to find a defective serial number range. The units are assembled by hand and faults could be spread few and far between. While one may read the threads on this forum and think there is a giant failure rate since most with a problem turn to the internet, the reality is that it is a small percentage, otherwise the company would have been out of business long ago.

Got my EVO back yesterday. Yes, the Cloud does seem to make bigger initial clouds, but I"m telling you the EVO does extract better IME and it tastes superior. EVO is an improvement on the Cloud. The best got better.

VXH surprised me with this:

A Vape Coozy! First impressions: it works. I can hold the EVO at 3 (heated for over an hour) comfortably without having to set it down. The material looks and feels pretty good. I could do without the slight odor but I think that will fade soon. Kudos VXH

I saw your earlier posts regarding low vapor output. I had to send my first EVO back in for calibration twice and I had to send my second EVO back once. I would be left with very tan vapor on max and the hits just werent as full as my Cloud+. They did get it right though and I can milk up any piece at 2 on the dial now.

Well the cloud was a giant failure so i was wondering if the EVO too was one since there a lot of member who had to send it back too if u rewatch the last 30 page..Drpiff,deadhead and macbill hsve all tho return it back in the last 2 page.I dont tkink the failure rate is as big as the cloud but i think the failure rate still very high by the commentary not just on this forum...

i was fortunate enough to buy a used cloud (the bottom was not fitting).I hear all the story about the manufacture failure stealhing of technology (fakexhale) and when they start the indego campaign i was sure that was all behind and a new start for the company then i receive a useless unit and ask myself if the problems was really behind and not much deeper in the company.

Excactly my unit ur describe.I just dont want to start the waiting game and the multi sending to maybe receive a working one..Im just trying to be refund and give up on vxl..

The reason that vxl has been given a bit of "slack" as you have called it,
is because they did three things to recover form the original debacle.
  1. They completely re-designed the heating core (among other components) to make the evo much more serviceable, and not a throw-away like the chinese-made clouds are.
  2. They built a domestic manufacturing and service facility, from the ground up.
  3. I forgot, because my evo hits like a motherfucker since the firmware was updated!
  4. Oh yeah, something about all of the problems being on the chinese side...

You had to get an firmware update to get it work properly...Its look like constancy is a problems and had nothing to do with the old manufacturer since they now have their own facility...I work in a shop and my salary is not that big so buying an EVO was a pretty big expense on my thin budget but i decide to make it convince thats everything was now ok....I dont have the budget and the time to start shipping this unit all over the continent (im in quebec canada) 2 or 3 time to get it work properly when i already pay 450 buck for it..I prefer to try to get refund and end the fee...

I just tell people thats if u want this unit just prepare to some serious headhache or to work perfectly .Look like a matter of luck to me.Some people here seems to think thats its just a small proportion of all the sold one only vxl know this but im positive thats if u just read back all page of this like i do you will see thats a lot of member had to send their unit back and i think that should not happen with a unit near 500 dollards..

Problems happen in manufacturing regardless of the company or product. Look at the Playstation 4, Xbox 360.

I don't think slandering them as a company is fair. I live in Canada too, further away from where they ship in comparison to Quebec's location. If the unit is faulty, the only fee you'll have to pay is shipping to them. And it's worth it if you want the EVO.

"I just tell people thats if u want this unit just prepare to some serious headhache or to work perfectly .Look like a matter of luck to me"

That is unfair. The people experiencing problems in this thread are a minority already. There are plenty of people not on these forums that don't have any problems with their EVO. This vaporizer has already received more press in the media than I have ever seen. If getting a functioning EVO was about as likely as flipping a coin, I don't think VapeXhale would be getting the positive attention they are.
