Need some help guys. I'm noticing after taking a hit and removing the ELB there is a distinct smell I can't quite place. Perhaps hot electronics/glass? I see it wafting out of the top of the 18mm joint. It last briefly for a few seconds.
I'm concerned about a health risk which is something that I always hold in high regard when using vaporizers.

If it smells like hot honey then that is probably the sweet smell of your EVO GonG accumulating vape resin and heating it up

My understanding is when you inhale, cool air comes in from the bottom of the unit (where it whistles) and does not pass by any electronics. Now, there are air vents at the top of the unit, and I suspect they are for cooling electronics off, but when you are GonG-attached, any air you breath is from the bottom of the unit.

So you are saying the hot glass, and whatever you might have let get down there, is what is disturbing you . . . ok dude . . .

I think you are completely safe as to inhaling anything but your intended material, even should the electronics go bad. The warranty is fantastic, says I, as I smugly hit my newly replaced EVO.

There is a way we can tell what caused the bamboo to break. In most instances, we have just been repairing them on our dime but as we examined them more closely we have been able to identify what kind of break it caused. Here are the most common forms of breakage:

1. Our heater was wrapped too tightly during assembly and as the glass expands, it would crack against the heater. These have multiple fracture points and is very easily identifiable and we cover these for free.

2. If the heater over heats and warps the glass and it isn't used, the glass has a very specific look to it, again, this is something that we cover.

3. If the user drops the EVO and a small crack appears, it is usually in an isolated area.

4. If the user gets joint lock with the HydraTube and EVO and the bamboo breaks when they are pulling the two joints apart, that shows a much cleaner break.

I will talk to the service team about a new process where we can receive the unit, examine it, and then respond with our findings.

Ok FC community I need your help. As I have mentioned before, I have no access to concentrates. Or..... so I thought. I just found out today that I can get them.

Well, here is the dilemma.
1. I've never used concentrates before, so I'm a bit nervous about using it. I also have no idea what I will be getting. I heard the term "wax" when I asked about concentrates. I mentioned wax and shatter, but at the end all I heard back was wax.

2. I would really like to buy a VapeXNail, however, I do not feel like spending $50 dollars to "try" something. I am already spending the money on the concentrate. If I could buy 1 VapeXNail, then I would absolutely buy it right now. But why should I buy two of something if I'm not even sure I'm ever going to use this again?

3. That being said, should I just use the two cap method, would that work fine for me to let me know if I like concentrates?

Thanks for your input, I really appreciate it. Again, 1 VapeXNail, and I would buy it today/right now, not a question. I just don't see buying two of something I may not use ever again (not because it won't work, but because I may not like concentrates, or whatever).

My personal preference is if it does not shatter it does not matter. Especially buying a concentrate from an unknown extract artist. You just cannot tell the purity of wax, but shatter you can look at how see-through, bubble-free, and stable it is to tell purity and to look for potential buddering happening.

As for the two-cap method the oil will melt right through the ELB caps. That is personal experience using a high quality shatter.

IMHO the two cap method or just loading the concentrate directly in does not compare to the vxn. It is an animal all on it's own. And no you can't buy just one gotta be at least two.

I know i can't buy just one, but I would really like to, especially seeing as how I have never tried concentrates whatsoever. Dropping $50 as opposed to $25 is kind of a hard pill to swallow.

Especially seeing as I don't know the quality of the concentrate I'm getting, or whether or not I'm ever gonna try it again.

Nah classifieds aren't my thing. Never sold anything really in my life. :-). And yes definitely, after upgrading from Cloud -> Cloud+ -> Cloud EVO, I would like to spend the least amount of money possible at this junction. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love my Cloud EVO. But as stated, spending $50 for really something that I only need $25 is a hard pill to swallow. Especially as I had stated, I have NEVER tried concentrates. So if I knew that it was $25, I would buy it right now, and then if the concentrate turns out to be shit, oh well, I wasted $25 + the concentrate money. Now, if the concentrate turns out to be shit, and I spent $50, that's $50 + $50 (or whatever it's gonna cost me). And now, I'm out $50 on two glass pieces that I would never use. At least, if it was $25 it wouldn't sting as bad.

Trust me, I know what you guys are saying, it's only $25. But hell, when you have a wife, baby, buying flowers, buying concentrates, have to keep upgrading the Cloud which cost me money, less is more at this point.

I really only need one. And that's the hump I can't get over at this point. And if I can get by with the two-cap method just to try the concentrate, then I guess I'll have to do just that.

It sounds like in your case it's not worth it to buy the vxn. Just see if you can use a friends rig or something first to see if concentrates are your thing?

Great videos and tips everyone, thanks for these. My question is specific to the :"lower temp is better": Is everyone on the lower temp thing also able to get vapor at 12pm normally w/ flowers etc...

I have an early IGG evo that has not been re-calibrated so 12pm for flowers is not much if any vapor at all.
My VXNs probably won't be here until monday or something according to USPS, so just asking and prepping.

FOr those asking about concentrates, I never had anything other than trash-hash until 2012/2013. I get "medical grade" from a "top dispensary" (whatever that is worth, it seems to be worth something) and I've had a few clunker grams of conc., but 95% of the time my wax/shatter/crumble/bubble/taffy/oil is top notch and has great tastes / effects.

Using the DIY cotton method, the issue is amount and waste. I use way too much, but re-use the cotton over and over again to get "full" extraction. Obviously this generates significant waste over time. For instance I am halfway through a gram of Sour Diesel wax/crumble from just last saturday. Seeing the amounts used in the VXN, a single gram might last a month or more w/ daily use?

.....said this befor on earlier pages....there are other variables to getting vapor at lower temps on the evo OTHER than the "unit" itself...Use and cleanliness of the elb is very important...plus which hydratube/water adaptor/pipe you are using...they ALL contribute to the finished product...there are some "tools" I get vapor at 9...some I can't...some elb's I have to clean after 2 sessions...some will last me all day without cleaning...

I use mine right at 12 - 1pm pretty much the entire time, I get about 4-5 nice pulls, not super thick vapor, but thick enough to look pretty cloudy under my lamp, and they taste nice until the last one, starts to just lose its flavor, then I dump and repack. I'd say I shovel in about 3/8 to 5/8 of the elb full.

My EVO rarely goes above 12 for flower. I get flavor and light hits at 9, heavier stuff at 10-11, once I get to 12 it's already pretty cashed.

We've stopped going much above Noon for anything, except cleaning off the VXN, or the occasional late-night 2am hit @ 2 to get knocked back out.

I'm playing with letting the VXN stay in longer, at max until it turns green, then leave it in while I turn it back to Noon. When it hit green again, I pulled it, and the residue nearer the top is much thinner!

I'll keep trying this one and see what happens. If this thing can be completely self-cleaning...

Yea I keep a q tip on my dresser and I wipe the top of the nail after everytime. I also alway turn it to max and wait for green. Usually then the bottom of my nail is glowing red hot it's so hot and everything is clean, then I wipe with the q tip and put away.

Buenas noches FC:
At the moment I'm set with 4 VXNs.
This lab tool is perfect for loading... Its curve and width fits perfect through the VXNs "loading smile" cut.
Noon still my favorite temp for the VXN.

Note the micro Agent Orange crumble dab, it must be 1 to 2 square mm. I got a lungful rip from that tiny dab. Very very tasteful
