+1 for the weird electronic, sporadic issues crowd. On an unrelated note, I combusted yesterday at 3:00 :(

On the bright side, I'm excited to try concentrates.

Mrs PoopMachine getting it done with TWO Evos!!!!

Im going to score me a server power cable.. it has two plugs on the Evo end and just one plug into the outlet. Will make "double barreling" it a little easier.

Man.. you might as well cancel anything you got planned for the evening after ripping this setup. One pull and youre vaked and probably coughing up a lung.
Is she not wearing any pants?

Ok I cleaned some glass this morning so I decided to make a vid because it's been awhile.

Has anyone tried to vape Lavender with the EVO?

If so, how was it and does it look like this :

I often throw a pinch in with the flowers, sometimes just vape it straight. It's tasty vape at low temp, nice to run through the Evo before bed. The ABV comes out very similar to that pictured.

Some mornings I'll load an ELB with a black tea/lavender mix or Yerba Mate. The result is enhanced alertness & awareness.. definitely helps me get going, plus it tastes good :)

my evo had a green light but no heat lol

a cycle fixed it.

funny how it seems every week or so it does a one time electronic kink, then a cycle fixes it.
I had posted about this on the WeMo thread in January because both times it had happened to me it was when I pushed my WeMo power on/off very fast. Now I just put a little pause in while turning it on/off and I haven't had it happen since.

...not lavender, but damiana, rose buds, blue lotus, amongst others...

Oh nice, how was it?
I have Damiana from Arizer...for like 3 years...I will try it when I get the EVO

I have some lavender but haven't used it in the Evo yet, I could try it in a bit though. Lavender doesn't seem to vape nearly as well as cannabis, obviously. The only thing I've been able to get out of it is very light lite vapor on the first couple of pulls with and some taste from the oils being pulled out. It seems to get spent pretty fast while in my EQ on the various settings I've tried. It doesn't seem to have much effect on its own either.

One thing I have noticed about vaping lavender is that it kills any anxiety that one may feel from vaping cannabis, especially works well for me when I have a very low tolerance. My lavender looks a little bit more blue than purple, other wise very similar.

Edit: One Major note I would like to add about vaping lavender is I find it best to do it with no water in the hydratube. Otherwise it seems like all of the good stuff gets filtered into the water.

I've had this happen to me a couple of times too. :(. I would go to reset the evo to stay on longer, and the light would be green but it wasn't heating anymore. When I went to toggle the switch again it would begin to heat up again.

Thanks,
Can you recommend different (legal) herbs to vape?

Cannabis is a no go for me :(

Huge shout out to @lazylathe for introducing me to EVO! My previous experience is OG Ticker and Cloud+ and I LOVE the EVO! So light (thought i'd prefer the heft of OG, but I actually love the lighter weight) and it's just alot more classy looking. The LE Swagger HT is so dope! Smoothest and most tasty vapour i've yet experienced. Had the pleasure of sampling some tangerine dream, swazi, and dieselXC99 and all shined like I couldn't believe.

I did experience the "cold green light" as well, which scared the ^&$@*% outta me because I thought it perhaps was broken, but a power cycle fixed that up pretty quick. So it's good to know that others have this glitch as well!

More to come later but just wanted to give props to @lazylathe!

Welcome to the EVO world. So far mine has been working wonderfully *knocks on wood*.

Have some good varieties right now, so been enjoying the life.

Wish I could get some of that new glass, especially the swagger recycler but alas, no $ at the current moment for that.

Any glass contests from VXL anytime soon? I hope so :-)

I can't recall exactly how SM explained this, so if I'm way off, mea culpa. Perhaps SM will clarify . . .

but I think that it may be possible albeit unusual for the sensor to be fooled into thinking that the unit is already at temp. Shutting the unit off, moving the dial to a different position, and toggling the unit back on resets the unit.
At least that's what I think I remember. :myday:

I think changing the dial may be required. When I just power cycled, it still was green and cold. Then I did what you just described, it was red for it's normal warm up, and then pow saw that green magical light and was so relieved! I could tell it was getting warmer too.

Just a couple more observations. The top does get extremely hot but only when playing around max temps for a bit, otherwise I actually like the heat for hand warming. It's a non-issue since the bottom is cool to touch. For feedback, I personally would like the 90 min. auto shutoff timer back like the Cloud+. This is just because it does take a bit for thermal equalibrium.

All 8 of my older ELBs work flawlessly in the EVO. I have never had an issue through many, many ELBs ever not fitting. I guess I just know how to get them in there carefully when new.

I just can't get over how awesome the Swagger LE HT is! I have had the Evolver circ both v.1 and v.2 and loved it, but this thing is just....sick. Although I love it, i'm finding the dry mouthpiece to be extremely smooth as well for some reason. I coughed using it in my Cloud+ but for some reason smoother in the EVO. Maybe it's just a placebo or pyschosomatic thing though.

Anybody tried Caviar Gold in the EVO?

Lots of good info on other herbs in here too, very intrigued by the lavender, blue lotus, chamomile and damiana to name a few.

I have an organic tea made from Holy Basil, Rhodiola, Damiana, Rosemary, Ginger and Licorice. It's an energizing/happy/up blend from a local herbalist.

Also have a sleep/relaxing tea and a tea that supports my lungs and intestines.

Silly question, could I also vape these organic tea blends?

If not, could somebody point me in the direction of a good place to order organic herbs that is a trusted site?

Thanks!

A day or two and I hope to be a part of the EVO party. :)

I just got the EVO last week and I have a SEVERE whistle going on. Anyone else experience this?
Also, what temp is everyone using to get these super milky shots? It seems like it take a good 4 pulls for me to ever reach that. I feel like I am missing something.

Yep, the whistling is pretty typical. I'm sure the majority of evo owners have this. Your first pull will be wispier vapor with a lot of flavor, but after that, you should start seeing some milkier draws. I typically max out around 3:00 o'clock for heavy hits, but past that you might combust.. It also helps to preheat the unit and start it off around 3:00 o'clock. Then you can scale it back to your preferred level.

Thanks. I am usually right around 2 or just a tad under that, I will try turning it up a bit. I did try putting much less in the ELB but that didn't help at all. Just seems I am not getting the huge clouds like I was from the old one.

Try turning it to 3 - 4 o'clock. Once it turns green, just scale back to 2 and wait a bit and try. If that doesn't work, maybe your unit is running a little cold so you might have to turn it up a bit. good luck!

Have you tried different strains?

I usually run my EVO at 2 o'clock (I always let it heat up for ten minutes or so), but it amazes me how the vapor visibility can vary from strain to strain. Some whitewall the tube, some look pretty airy in comparison.

Luckily the effects are always

Same, but if I lighten up the draw I can completely eliminate the whistle. It IS loud on bigger/heavier rips, but well worth it. I just have to pull slower when the wife is around otherwise it will annoy the heck outta her and I try to tread light when possible lol

I'm going to experiment with the dial today, but for my first night using it I was at 3:00-max with varying load sizes. It's always nice to be efficient and just drop a tiny pinch on Max temp and see decent cloudage! I'm going to go for low temp blue clouds in a little while, and then try to cache them on max.

Oh yeah, I think this newer style bamboo will not be prone to the baked resin ring based on its design at the top?

I did notice the whistle isn't as bad if I pull slower but it is VERY annoying. Like, "I might have to use my solo all the time and send my EVO back annoying".

I am going to try 330 tonight when I get home. I maybe had too much in the ELB a few times also.

If you can slow your draw speed down enough the whistle is very subdued. Still a bit noticable but nothing that would make me want to return it. When i first got it I was ripping it like my plus and it was whistling like a tea kettle. I then realized there is no need to hit it hard that and slower pulls milks up all my pieces with a very faint whine/whistle.
