Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud EVO

The portable they were planning on releasing has already came out... the Hanu stone. Unfortunately it is a cartridge based vape. I have no idea what's going on with vapexhale these days it almost seems like they have abandoned developing new accessories for the vape. Been trying to replace a broken hydrabase for the longest time and finally lucked out this past black friday and boxing day by ordering from overseas... one from a vape store from south africa and another in the UK. Unfortunately the one from SA has not arrived yet and I really hope it hasn't gotten lost. Anyone with older hydratubes/hydrabases. cherish and protect these things with your life! because it doesn't seem like vapexhale has any plans to restock them. Very unfortunate as the evo is such a simple, reliable, and efficient vape with minimal extras to break (aside from the glassware). Really wished they would make some form of announcement or launch some new accessory. Something as simple as the connect was a game changer and is a blast to use this vape in group gatherings

Oh hey there it is, thank you. So I guess that's why I never heard of it, it's only cartridge...pretty unexciting I must say. I was really excited to see an all glass vapor path Vapexhale portable, that would have been soooo sweet. I don't have access to those cartridges, so Hanu Stone is not even usable for me. Yeah I always thought that was weird about Vapexhale, they change out their accessories a lot. Maybe they are trying to encourage impulse buying? Like "better hurry and buy this before we don't sell it anymore!" or something?

Mixing up some pineapple and banana strains in the EVO tonight. Decided to make this my weekend and weekday evening vape, and been using it heavily every day since I got my baskets in the mail. When tax money comes in I plan to buy a new one with glass.

That just happened...
VapeXhale switched to prefilled pods because that’s the direction the market is headed.

Flower vaporizers are a very small portion of the market. A niche at this point in time.

yeah it's just a business decision, sell a portable vape with pods, and you'll continue to make money with pods.

Standalone desktop vapes last nearly forever unlike portable vapes without replaceable batteries so i guess you sell once and not much of a continuous revenue stream, especially with the cost of making fancy glass pieces which don't sell in large volumes due to the high prices. Lotta people think i'm crazy spending $300 + bucks on a single glass piece

The EVO is like that tree falling in the forest....nobody is going to buy it unless they hear/see it. It isn't exactly screaming buy me at the dispensaries. There are also some states that don't allow the sale of flower at their dispensaries.

When my bro was here I introduced him to my collection and of all the vapes the one he felt he needed to buy was the EVO. He said "How long has this been available". If I hadn't introduced him to the EVO he wouldn't have even known it existed. He knew all about carts though.

OK, I've had a few days to try the Evo out and here are my initial thoughts on it. Not in any particular order of importance:

1) So simple to use, my very first bowl was perfect.
2) Did I say this was simple to use?
3) Because of the comments here about long heat up time, I timed it with my stopwatch. Three minutes from on to the middle indicator (350?)
4) I'm using a Helio mouthpiece with it, and I was really impressed with how cool the vapor is. It put's my Plenty to shame.
5) The metal baskets are easy to clean.
6) The flavor is great, as well as the "effect"
7) I am noticing a very slight plastic smell when it heats up
8) I'm looking at adding a glass hydra tube, but I wish the prices were more reasonable.

The silly thing is that dry herbs are probably the safest way to vape cannabis as long as the growers don't douse their plants with pesticides and other chemicals. All the other processed forms I tend to try to avoid as there's no telling what kind of chemicals are added. A lot of the research out that claims vaping is harmful to the lungs are studying processed liquids, not dry herb. Unless you're making your own concentrates, I personally steer clear of that crap. This is sad because since legalization in Canada, it's the processed concentrates and juices that have been selling very well rather than the actual dry herbs.

I can't argue with it on a business basis...you are right, dry flower vapes are a niche' market.

And I can't fault a business owner for trying to stay in business, adapt to the market, and make money (yes, I am a capitalist).

But I will NEVER buy a frakin proprietary pod to go on a proprietary batt that only takes these proprietary pods. I don't care if his Hanu Stone, Pax Era, or any other brand.

The performance is no better than a good CCell 510 cart which does NOT lock me into the extractor with the franchise for that state.

In MD'd med program, there are a dozen or more processors making 510 carts of various quality and price and with a cheap ass box mod I can use any of them.

What pisses me off is that these devices seem most oriented to new med patients with no significant MJ background. They look shrink wrapped and the dispensaries sell them as an "all in one" solution and never really tell people how they can access the much broader supply of carts if they go 510 and how easy it is to buy a cart and....say an ELeaf Nano...and they are in business.

I just...well, I guess I feel contempt for people trying to shove proprietary cart systems on unsuspecting customers.

Could be just old curmudgeon me.

A hydrabase + lynx with whip kit or connect is the way to go. I find using the hydratube mouthpieces a lot more cumbersome than whips and always paranoid that while baked, i would be holding the vape and tube in a way that would put stress on the bamboo. Can likely do without the lynx and just slap the connect/whip kit right on the base. I find the lynx to be too small and doesn't do all that much in adding much moisture to the vapor compared to the bases.

For real! I'm with you, it's an assholey approach.

I think what most people mean here is that even though the light turns green, the unit still does not perform optimally until several minutes later after its heated up more. I never trust the first green after turning it on.
As for baskets yes they are easy to clean but you should develop an early habit of dropping them in iso often, like every night. Seems like they last longer this way.

They are literally Keurigs for cannabis lol. Machine is pretty much a worthless item, as they just want you to get it so they can continue to be your supplier for product. At least with keurigs, you can buy pods that you can load up yourself. I guess if I were to get something like the hanu stone, I would want an option like that available first. But right now i'm still waiting for that excellent portable that's reliable and without any cleaning issues. Eying the davinci IQ2 but am only interested if they have completely fixed the issues with uncleanable areas.

For real! I'm with you, it's an assholey approach.

When the light's green the temperature has definitely optimal temps. the "wait" it likely because it's a convection vape, you need a few very good draws for the hot air to fully heat up the material for it to properly vaporize. I take super hard and long draws so usually after the first big draw doesn't produce anything, the second draw tends to fill up all the glassware with thick white vapor. This is with the dial set at 1 o clock

You are absolutely right....but I suspect the light turns green when the thermocouple in the heating coil hits temp....but performance is IMO much better with a 10 minute heat soak to bring the entire bamboo up to temp.

Just my observations that performance improves a bit with a little heat soak...for EVO, Flower Pot, Volcano, and lots of other vapes.

Cheers

OK, something strange just happened. The last two days, I have shut off my Evo after using it. Today, I left it on as I wanted to have another round soon after. Came back after 30 minutes, and the light was flashing red then green. It was either two red and one green, or the other way around. Nothing on the website about it. Happen to anyone else, and should I turn in a ticket on it?

*EDIT

After doing more research, I found two old posts about it on Reddit. One saying that it's a loose wire, the other saying it's a standby indicator.

Almost there...
Just stopping by with some EVO updates from my side of things!

Out of the box, this vape works without any need for modification.
It produces anything from a wisp to a full fledged white out with ease, just set the dial and you are good to go.
However....there has been a recent discovery about the addition of glass beads to vapes to make them even more effective! I think @ohmygodimsohigh started this with his SSV.
I have done my EVO and it has invoked BEAST MODE!

I added a small SS screen to the bottom of the bamboo tube as the beads fit the hole perfectly and block all air flow. Fill up with glass beads until an ELB will fit and place another screen on top to keep it together. No force or pressure on the glass beads as you don't want to crack anything!

I have gone from around 1:30 to Noon with the same results!
Two 1/4 filled ELB's annihilated me over 4 hours ago which is amazing!
Flavor is still on point but tasted slightly too toasty at my usual temps.
Vapor is super thick and smooth and hits super hard!

This would be a super easy mod VapeXhale could integrate!

EDIT:
After all that, back to my regular EVO!
The beads forced a very hard, rapid inhale that gets me way too baked... And hard on the lungs.
Regular EVO hits like a dream!

It’s real refreshing to receive a honest review!
The EVO is my greatest experience so far!
