I do enjoy cannabis quite a bit. My use is probably more recreational than it is medicinal. I use cannabis to relax and enjoy my friends which is certainly medicinal in its own way. Being high while studying complex ideas in chemistry and biology does not suit me well, personally.
Ataxian have you ever ran into the issue of the top of the ELB coming off during a draw? It has become an issue for me at times.

However I'm not as lucky as some.
I had a great life and traveled the world until 5 years ago.

Bummer they only smoke joints.
I vaporizer 100% especially when I discovered the FLAVOR aspects.
Art, Wood, Physics, Geology, Philosophy, History, Chemistry, Botany, Mathematics are better with CANNABIS.
My EBL's are train-wrecked!
I ordered 4 more.
I love the FLAVOR however the Quality of the Basket I destroy.
Maybe stirring will make them last longer?

It can be a number if things:
1. Tolerance
2. Strain
3. Material Quality(potency)
4. And lastly make sure your ELBS are clean.
For the record, 3-5 baskets can be a session for me.

@ataxian You're fortunate! Unfortunately my state isn't quite so civilized, although I do believe a measure for mmj will be on the ballot this year. Fingers crossed! Until then I gotta settle for whatever my guy can get me, which unfortunately is not particularly high quality 
I find dusting my ELBs off with a little bit of keef definitely ups the potency, though. I dropped my keef catch about a month and a half ago and lost pretty much all of it, so it's nice to finally have enough to scoop into an ELB! The Evo does an incredible job extracting the flavor of it.

I never stir my ELB contents after a grind with a medium 4pc SCS, and I don't think I've lost a single ELB in a year and a half. Should I be more rough with the baskets? I've heard the welds are where they give; I've got one that has some ratty edges, but it seems manageable and safe enough to still use.
I use a pipe brush to get most of the gunk out and let them soak for a week in ISO. After a good rinse, they're clean and ensure the next tastes are fresh. I have 10 of them that I rotate through, usually two a session reloaded a few times. Perhaps because I spread the use across many?

None of my bowls have broken. The top cap comes off when it shouldn't sometimes is all. The top part of the sandwich.

Just never squeeze them, that's a single thing they can't take. I learned that on day one, when I broke my first ELB that way.
After that first day, I've been heavily using abou 15 of them and no more broken ELBs. When you don't squeeze them, then most of them will probably outlive you. They can take shaking, ipmacts like tapping flicking or falling on floor. Just squeezing and stepping on them will surely kill them (if not immediately, then after few more squeezes).
The EVO doesn't need stirring unless you have super-coarse grind, so I usualy only load an ELB, vape it all without even taking it out mid-session.
And then take it out, open, flick it with a fingernail until it empties and done. No squeezing needed. If it's hardened enough so flicking can't get it out, then just poke into the herb with something so it loosens and then flick it out. An if something sticky is left on the walls of the ELB, then just gently stir that out (be careful not to stir against the weld and break it).

I used to have an old ticker and was thinking about picking up an evo when they go on sale for 4/20 , but I just noticed this warning when when looking at them....

I realize it is still an 18mm connection so has something changed with the evo that makes its not suitable for use with my glass collection if I want to use it inverted without a whip ?

And you may be reassured by the following quote & also the fact that many F.Cers use their Evo's inverted for flower & have been doing so for several years . . .

I think its only unsafe to use the EVO inverted is when you're using the VapexNail for concentrates? The concentrate may leak out of the small slit you put it in. Herb is perfectly fine though.

When I first got my EVO from the Valentines Day sale, one of the ELBs that came with it had a busted seam - customer service was AWESOME and said they'd send me a new one. They ended up sending me a 4 pack!!!

Alright, so 5 days of use in the books! So first I turn the EVO on all the way up to start it warming, then when it turns green I turn it down to 12:30 until it turns green. 12:30 is where the dial "clicks" for me. I assume the midway point should be 12 noon based on some other information I read. Does this mean I lose some of the potential high end temperature since my mid point is off?
ELB fill...
My favorite way to fill so far is to fill the ELB to about 50% tapping it on the counter in between scoops a few times to get it to settle. This wasn't that complex to figure out at all, but most people said loose fill and I felt like I never really knew how much I'd put in so it was always different, with tapping the flower in the ELB on the counter I can tell better, and it hits great and browns evenly. I'd say I get 3-4 great hits, then I go to 1:30 on the dial, get 2-3 good hits, go to 2:30 and get a couple more okay hits. The flavor is great even at the end with no burnt popcorn taste, and I can't believe the smoothness. I haven't gotten the chance to get some concentrates yet, might do that today but most likely will wait until payday.

So for anyone interested, the effects off the EVO are quite different than the portables I used, and I can't say its subtle. For example if I do sativa flowers in the EVO the head high is so intense and visual that I enjoy it, but almost have to be in the mood for it. Kind of hard to explain but if I were doing sativa on this and needed to be functional I don't think I'd do more than the first two big hits, my brain goes kind of haywire. I tried some Blue Dream and some Trainwreck sativa's in here.
With the indica's I have really been enjoying the EVO. The indica effects are way more energetic to me with the EVO and very focused. I can concentrate on a movie, I can hold conversations, I can play with the kiddo's and put them down to bed, but it is still very intense, I just am not getting as much of the couch lock and lethargy as I get with other intake methods than the EVO. This was using Pineapple and Blueberry indica's.
With the portable devices I have tried (Haze v3 and Flowermate 5.0s) or with combusting, my effects have always been kind of a rollercoaster, where I really feel it one minute, and the next not at all, and then a little bit, etc.
I like concentrates sometimes because the effects are more consistent, and with the EVO I find the same thing. It's like a bell curve, over about 20-25 minutes you get really really medicated, and then a very smooth and consistent comedown, and then it just kind of goes away and I don't really have any lethargy or after effects at all. I absolutely love how clean the effects and the comedown are on this, it's quite amazing.

My mid-point, where you feel a slight click as you are turning the EVO up is at 12:30. My understanding is it should be at 12 noon, and I agree. People should be able to say "using x strain at 10 AM has this great complex flavor and brings out the citrus...." yada yada you get the idea. But with your temp dial being different than my temp dial this becomes more challenging. Is this something that can be adjusted? Do I lose the 8:30PM-9PM heat range on mine since my mid way point is at 12:30PM? Or am I misunderstanding how it works?
Safety Turn Off Timer
I wish the safety turn off was more than a half hour. An hour would even be pretty good. I like to get it warmed up, walk away, come back and take a couple hits, then go finish up whatever I need to do for the evening which usually takes 30-45 mins, and then come have a real session. So sometimes I'll just click if off an on, but my question would be is there an issue with just turning the EVO off and on for a few hours for it to be ready for use? Or was 30 minutes tested by VapeXhale and leaving it on after that causes degradation to the electronics or lowers the lifespan? I'm just concerned that if I use this method my VapeXHale might last a year and a half instead of 5 years for example.

Looks great! Too loose. It kind of moves up and down, blocking the plug which I plug in each time I set it up and the power switch. Not a huge deal, but I think a couple elastic bands at the bottom that go under the EVO would hold it in place much better., especially since it tends to move upwards. Works great though, if I grab it by the top while the EVO has been on awhile, it's just a little warm NBD...
Combustion fail
I combusted maybe... I was at about 2:30 and near the end of ELB vapor. I pulled a little harder and noticed the vapor density increased in the Turbine, so I pulled harder.
Then it instantly felt like my throat melted off and my lungs hurt. My throat was pretty sensitive for a couple hours. I didn't think this would happen at 2:30, but it is still user error. I am more of posting about it for any new EVO owners out there.
At the end of a ELB where you think its about to be done, and then if you start to draw hard and the vapor increases in an almost to good to be true type vapor, it is in fact too good to be true lol. I'm not 100% this was combustion, it smelled a bit after in the bamboo but kind of went away. Could have just been way to hot vapor. It hurt though so beware, my fault but I'm sure others might make this mistake.
Conclusion...
I fucking love this thing. The bamboo stays so clean, and it is so easy to fill up the ELB. I love not having to scrape out an oven and ISO clean an oven every time. Very little maintenance. I just brush out the ELBs each time and I can feel the bristles going through the screen so I know the airflow is okay and always an amazing hit on this thing, Always. The taste from the beginning to the end is incomparable.
And I haven't even tried the concentrates yet... I have a dab rig, but I have never gotten them quite right where they are smooth enough to not destroy my lungs or puddle and waste, and I just kind of gave up after 5-6 of them. So definitely looking forward to some DabDynasty in the Cloud EVO.
In my limited experience this thing has met all my needs and I am not sure how my vaping experience could be better, especially that kind of production from a dried plant material is just amazing.
So if you read all this thank you lol, it got away from me. Happy vaping.

A Belkin WeMo IoT power switch thingy? That is so ridiculously awesome and convenient for the EVO... you blew my mind a little bit there thinking about how great that would be. Start my EVO heating up before I got home or in the middle of putting my kids to bed lol... love it. Thanks for the suggestion.
Holy CRAP!. Then I read Amazon Echo works with the WeMo, so I can just say Alexa, Power On EVO. Or maybe change it to "Alexa, TO THE CLOUDS!"
I really wish I knew more people into vaporizing that could enjoy this cool technology with me. Ah, well.I didn't time it, so you are probably correct about the hour. I just had it in my mind it was a half hour and get a little annoyed when it shuts off on me. So if I am wrong about that, I apologize for putting incorrect info out there. I'll verify this on mine.

I find, for me, I put maybe an 1/8th of an ELB with ground flowers. I get a few great hits at 12 O'Clock and then I'll finish it off at three O'Clock. I prefer the "two-pass" - a low temp pass to get the flavinoids (what flavor!) and a high temp pass to get the rest of the goodies. But I've got all the time in the world to medicate.
I don't believe there is a "RIGHT WAY": we all find the way that WE like to hit it. Try all ways to find your favorite. It is situational.

@ataxian Don't ever Squeeze or stir! I fill the screen with herb till it barely covers the bottom jus making out it look like like a nice lawn of grass is growing on the bottom. That's way when i pull the screen i can shake it like @poonman said. I can shift all the contents in the screen this way without having to stir or squeeze. This also allows more even vaporization. The hits just seem better this way! At times I'll empty the screen and crush the herb to get a couple more hits, but not often because this gets the screen dirtier faster.
