I use mine with every concentrate session. It's overpriced for what it is, but it does the job. If I had to do it over, I'd probably make my own.

I guess for me it depends on whether or not you are going to be keeping them out or not (like at a station). I thought about getting one and I decided that the box the nails came in is nice enough to store inside my case. I'm really only using one at a time anyway so I couldn't justify the spend. I have one of those silicone grill gloves that I pluck the nails out with and lay them on to cool off.
However if I had a station like our boys @t-dub and @stickstones I'd probably lean for the nail buddy.
I think that case they have on there for under $70 with the sticks code is a pretty sweet deal (even tho its still a very expensive add on). I love mine and it suits my situation perfectly. I pull my desktop vapes out and pack them away nightly. This protects the EVO and my HydraBomb along with my nails, ELB's and some glass jars for material and ABV collection. I have the old version which looks a little different than the current version but if the quality is there like the one I have, getting it under $70 is not too bad IMO considering a Pelican will probably cost more than that and you need to deal with cutting it out for all your tools.

To my knowledge you can't buy the older models anywhere. There was the Cloud, Cloud+, and now Evo (I believe, 3 generations).
It's really just a choice of starter kit, as far as I know the Evo is the best version, but must admit I don't know the differences either, except appearance, and only Evo has the vapexnails, don't think they work in others

Got my GonG carb adapter and whip adapter from OGB today. Gotta say, I am really liking the carb with my hydrabase, feel more confident removing a 10mm glass plug than my entire EVO for clearing. Seriously recommended for those who use inverted often. The service and quality of OGB mikes shop was second to none. I will be back.

I got the case recently, and while I do believe it's overpriced at its list price (I have a Pelican 1350?? It was $120 on Amazon and is roughly a third bigger overall) for the price it's at now and with the Stickstones code, I'm very happy. I wish it had a full set of pick and pluck, rather then it being precut, as my hydratube is not a sidecar so there is a lot of extra space not being used where I'm storing it. That said, it fits the Evo, my tube, a bunch of ElBS, the tube, the tubes base and the cord all with room to spare. And it's nice and sturdy and small enough to take with me places (my pelican is too big for that) happy with the purchase!

I have a few questions about the case for those who currently own it. 1) Is it fairly smell-proof? Not that my unit smells or anything and I keep my HT nice and clean, but can you get any whiff of cannabis from it? 2) Would it be safe to ship the EVO in the case, do you think? Obviously inside a box as well, with the inside of the case padded extra so stuff can't shift around or break (hopefully!)
Currently on a two-day T-break and it is just the worst
Sucks to be dealing with the full brunt of my nausea again for a few days but hopefully it'll enable me to medicate more efficiently in the future. Wish me luck, LOL.

I need a tbreak myself soon, I've been ruined by the EVO and dabs lol, as far as your questions:
1) it's relatively smell proof. My unit doesn't smell either and I can't smell anything through it. Probably could put actual cannabis in it, doubt smell would leak out. I do believe it has a pressure seal? Not home and I don't recall offhand.
2) I think it would be pretty safe. Especially with extra padding. There is some wiggle room in some of the compartments, but there is not much.

Have you guys ever used a bit of steel wool, clipped from an Ion/Firefly/Volcano wax pad in our Evo as a concentrate solution when you don't have a VapeXnail? I tried it today, just a little ball of steel wool, and got IMMENSE, cloudy hits for a long time off just a small dab smudged into it, and about .1 of herb. I love the Evo! It so potently and efficiently pushes hot air across whatever you put in that ELB.

I went from combustion to EVO and found the initial high was less intense, it was no more efficient but it makes me way more sleepy. I am still impressed though and happy to be combustion free. The smell of smoke is now getting increasingly off putting which is good!
I have yet to even use water with it. I have found it best to keep the dial on 10:30, if I use 12:00 it goes to the darkest brown colour which looks over 200 c. 10:30 gives more the 180-190 c range I believe. I am from UK and I hear ours run hotter.

For the moment I'll continue blaming some potent weed I got recently for being such sleepy. But I recently acquired an Evo and experienced the same thing. I fell asleep on the couch almost every evening last week.
It's probably due to the Evo being quite the badass at vaping hi temp.
ABV high is pretty sleepy so it makes sense that we are sleepier using a more efficient vape.

I find the EVO to be really good at extracting the goodness. Even though I get more hits from the same amount of weed from other vapes the EVO seems to get me more medicated.
Always good to see a fellow UK vaper... I'm the only one in my circle of friends, I haven't managed to convert them yet...
With regards to sleepiness, I think it's down to the efficiency of the Evo and it's ability to extract all of the goodness from the weed. With smoking, loads is lost as the spliff is burning away or burnt off by the heat...

One hypothesis I had was due to vaporizing being a cross between eating and smoking, it takes longer to kick in but lasts longer. I am hitting it harder chasing the inital rush that is not as intense as smoking so I am actually consuming more and getting more toasted but as it takes longer to get there and isn't as rushy I am not noticing before it is too late.
Either that or I am able to extract more cbd/cbn vaporizing than smoking maybe.
