Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud EVO

Roth

Pining for the Mountains
Ok Roth you know how dumb I am at this - I always thought that 1 - 2 were the hottest temps so do I have that backwards? Is 11 and 12 the hottest it gets? No - I didn't break the doughboy; I would flip if I did that. It's so big and beautiful and it pairs so nicely w the beast. And what you said makes sense - maybe the wood expanded. But I tried soaking it all night with no luck. When I tried to get the adapter out the next morning the HT simply slipped out of my hands.

If I don't get my D020 soon I guess I will have to leave town w my adapters and my bong. Not my first choice but bringing the doughboy and the exhale is just too risky. One if them will surely break.

As always you are like so many on the site - so paitent with me because I'm just so new to this

LIM

Whew, glad the Doughboy didn't break!

Like @aj0125 mentioned above, think of it like a clock face. All the way to the left, about 7 o'clock is the min temp. Turning it all the way to the right, about 5 o'clock, is the max temp.

After having the EVO on for 10 minutes to fully heat soak, I start my session at noon, and slowly increase it til finishing it around 3 o'clock.

I'd say noon is a pretty standard temp that people vape at.

Happy vaping.

I have the hydro foot 2.0 and SSV tamer and this is my fav setup as well!!

bummer is sometimes i get water in the tamer and forget to dry before putting it back in freezer and it clogs.

Just picked up a crafty today... charging... cant wait to try..

I got an email today from VapeXhale that promoted new products, one of which is a glycerine-filled chilling tube. I have used a similar chilling tube (http://silversurfervap.com/index.ph...ling/glycerin-cooling/saturn-vapor-tamer.html). To maximize the cooling effect, the chilling tube should be the last tube closest to your mouth. I found that if I placed the chilling tube between the EVO and the HT, it seemed less cool due to the diffusion. Additionally, a slow draw maximizes coolness.

Anyone know if it makes a difference whether you draw from the HT while the Evo is sitting on a flat surface versus holding it up in front of you in the air? Would you possibly be getting more at once if you don't lift the Evo off the surface until you're ready to clear the HT, or should it not make a difference? Just wondering what everyone's technique is and if they've noticed any differences between them.

For me, a more flexible power cord was a good solution. Something like this works well for me.:2c:

This just came in the mail, and while I thought it would be longer it is A LOT more flexible and makes it easier to use, so thank you for sharing that link!

You should hit the evo when it is not on the surface. The air comes up from the bottom of the evo all the way to the top. Having it on a surface restricts the airflow.

Thanks. That's exactly what I've noticed from personal experience, and what also seems to make the most logical sense, but I posed the question the opposite way to ensure it wasn't just placebo. So I'll just keep doing what I normally do.

Yes I think a removable base plate would be wonderful!

Would also protect the glass when you set it down on an uneven surface :2c:

The momentum is finally on our side. Carpe diem!
Hi everyone! Hope you're all poised to have a bitchin' Christmas. I've been looking at this vaporizer for a bit, and I had a couple questions I couldn't resolve by looking at their website.

Since this thing has a male 18mm top, couldn't I just flip it upside down and insert it in a 18mm downstem and vape away? Does it have to be upright to function properly? I'm guessing if it can be used this way, you can only do this with herbs and not concentrates? Does it perform equally well with herbs and concentrates in general, or is it geared towards one more than the other?

Thanks in advance for the info. :peace:

Inverting with flowers is fine!

Essentially, keep it upright with concentrates. ;)

Thanks so much for the clarification. Do you guys think it works equally well with concentrates and herb, or does it perform better with one or the other?

I have been using a new technique, it seems to work decently well. So my supply was running extremely low, I had to change my technique.

If you are packing barely just enough to cover the bottom screen, I don't recommend setting the temp to 2:00.

With such a small amount, that temp kills your pack really quick. If I'm going for a quick onset type of effect, I'm packing more, and I usually go 1:30-2:30 on the dial and kill it with one giant rip.

That technique really doesn't work well with small packs. So I scale the temp back to 12:30 and that seems to more optimally extract without killing it too quickly.

Another thing I think disrupts the tiny packs, is too much airflow agitating the blend. When you are packing tiny loads, you need to change your draw speed to a creeping sip, or else I feel there's too much air disturbance. To compensate, I block off the bottom air inlet or "the nipple" 50% with my finger.

This seems to perhaps give a better conduction hit. I know the vape was designed as a convection/conducton experience, and the manufacturer would probably say that the airflow is designed to tumble the herb and extract it on all fronts; and that's all very true.

The agitation is usually a good thing, except when there's a bare minimum amount of material used. So I feel that if you slightly block the air inlet, and almost use it like a carb, the vape functions more of a conduction style and you can really milk a tiny load pretty good.

This could be all in my imagination, so give it a try, but I do feel it's milking my herb better.

Recipe: 12:30..... tiny pack...... block the air inlet 50% and use a slow sip instead of a wind-rushing rip.

Actually it's X-mas break, and I have some supersilver haze, so I'm temporarily going back up to 2:00 on a not so conservative pack here shortly.

It was built for flowers, so it excels there by design. The concentrates glass nail is a design after the fact, but it works fantastic. Probably one of the top two ways to hit your concentrates. I use so much less of it than with pens.

So if that's one of the two best ways, out of curiosity, what's the other one you like? :)

I also have been packing smaller size bowls and I will give this a try once my HT is done soaking.

Personally, I never had the best success using it with concentrates, it gets dirty really easily and it was just a pain to clean but I know a lot of users here enjoy using it with concentrates. Just not my thing in this.

Also, I've had my EVO for about 2 1/2 months now and both of the screens that came with have slowly been coming apart. Has this been the case for any of you or have you been able to use the EZ load bowls for a long period of time? When cashing the bowl into my AVB jar, I gently push in the screen to get the material out, I'm not sure if that causes it to break apart.

I have 14 or so Elbs... i have a cup with them in it.. use one for a couple sessions then put it in the dirty cup. When I am out of elbs I clean with 91% ISO just shaking in the cup, i rinse then let dry.

I dump my vaped bud in another cup that I have with stems and will use for cooking. I dont push on the screen since eventually you could loosen the weld. I will just put it in my mouth and blow and stuck material out if it isnt clean enough and i want to use the same bowl again.

Yeah I need to stop pushing on it, I'm a little nervous to use it now but I've already ordered new screens that got shipped out today.

How often do you guys clean your HT's?

Go to a beauty supply store or the women's beauty part of a store and look for a woman's replacement eyeliner brush. The ones made by Clairol are $1 and fit the screens perfectly and clean them very gently. Also I clean my Hydratubes daily but I'm O.C.D
