That's awesome, cheaper than I thought. Fortunately I've never broken a bamboo in the clouds I've owned.

Biohacker: I hope all is forgiven. I need advice on how to get the smoothest hits off my evo if and when I am ever able to use it.

I am the fc member with the messed up voice. I need the exhale to not be so harsh on my throat. Otherwise I will have to give it up and probably have to sell it.

C'mon someone must know something. I know I need the most percolation possible. I've read about the vapor tamer- some good some bad. Do people like the hd glass birdcage, what am I doing wrong here? I think I set the temp to high. Now I can't set it at all lol

If you want the most filtration, (again I have no experience), but you should look for items that have a lot of water chambers.

For instance, maybe buy a Hydrafoot 2.0 and pair it with a Swagger Double.

Or, hell if you can find a Devastator I think that might deliver some pretty smooth hits.

I'm not sure they sell it anymore though. [vaporpedia link removed due to malware]

Again, I just have an evolver HydraTree and it's pretty harsh for me.

Adapters are in stock. They make any piece a winner. Use either hot or cold water for soothing vapor.

Personally I think , it will be the ' Act of inhalation ' that will
affect your healing process . When I draw off of my bubbler ,
whether small or big , I use my cheek and throat muscles to get a good haul .

Extra percs/diffusion will provide smoother vapors , but ' May ' create more
drag/chug . Making it slightly harder to draw and diluting your THC with every
chamber it travels thru .

When I had my tooth extracted ( I know that's way different from you )
I'd inhaled thru my nostrils , ( cigs too )
It will sting a little , but you do what you can sometimes ...
Maybe get a bag full of vapors , then ...
" Up your Nose with a Rubber Hose "

Good Luck

Good post I will figure something out

Maybe stone monkey will have pity on my sole and gift me the best hydra tube he has

Maybe they will come up with an extra special bubbler for me. I wish I lived in a legal state. This would all be much easier. I am still hopeful

I just read the other post. I'm not the only one who has a problem with the harshness. I thought that was the whole point of the exhale. To filtrate with water.

I cleaned up my whole life this year. The mid 50's is a dangerous age.

What a drag it is getting old!!!

Water under the bridge. I'm not exactly sure of the details of your usage (how much water, how much botanical, temp, etc.) but I can offer the following advice that helped me (if you haven't tried these already).

Definitely give hot water a shot....it's much more comforting to my and countless other FC members' lungs. Adjust water volume based on filtration and draw preference, so i'd go with the upper limit. Keep your temp reasonable...IME temperature is the biggest factor in lung irritation and causes the most discomfort. That hot vapour is not good for your throat. Maybe load smaller ELBs just cover the bottom or maybe 1/4 ELB max, and take smaller hits. These are just a few examples of things you can do to make your hydra-experience that much more comforting and rewarding.

To point of the Evo isn't to filtrate with water, although that is its intended purpose, the point of it is the clean all glass air path, which works just awesome as flavour city with the dry glass mouthpiece.

Give that a shot and report back!

Ok I'm saving this for my grand return. I have heard many things about using warm water. I know some people use cotton but I don't know what is up with this

This is all very new to me; vaping social network (not computers - I hook those up with my eyes close). But I was bong and email girl for so long. Do you know about this birdcage DH glass? I just I'm not in a position for a major investment. I'm ok with not using but I miss it. I just feel like when I start agin I'm gonna have to do much just to enjoy it. I think I need the younger generation to teach me these thing
When you say add water to the upper limit can you explain a little more. I need vaping for dummies lol

Ya, this isn't the right place though....go take your time and look around, keep those glass q's about dh and birdcage (I told you about that one lol) for the Cheap Glass Thread, and all your other stuff has been asked by many other new members.

Back to VXL! Been using my Cloud+ alot more lately simply doing comparisons and testing with my new Herbie, and I must say i'm really looking forward to @lazylathe letting me toy with his EVO again soon. The Cloud+ is fucking HOT. Holy crap....i'm trying the upper 1/2 of the dial, and finding basically black abv (no real combustion though) after 3:00. I'm looking forward to the EVO again because I keep hearing the overwhelming majority favour it in basically every way over the Cloud+ or ticker, and i'm starting to forget how much smoother it was, with lighter abv that was more evenly extracted, and yet still fully extracted.

I think the EVO temp spectrum is alot closer to the Herbie, with the ABV colour on max temps on both units being very similar, but very unlike the Cloud+.

I can't believe how much my tastes and opinions change in this hobby over time. So much fun!

I knew someone told me about the birdcage. Lol Biohacker; I should have never dissed you - you are the go to guy. If I get a good report I'm ordering that; it pairs well with the xhale right? The xhale does run hot and I think that added to the harshness. I have a lot of golden brown ABV; that's what I will use if I ever get the courage to make the brownies. I even picked up some oil today; didn't see coconut so pick up the canola oil. I just miss the cloud part and don't think it will work. Of course I'm on such a big break right now who knows? I just love my evo so much

I have the side circ; stonemonkey assured me it had really good diffusion. There probably isn't enough diffusion in the world for me. Lol

LongIslandmom,
My EVO is terribly clogged. Since the nail came out, I've been using that exclusively. There must be some gunk way down in the tube because I can't see the blockage.

I'm trying to find some advice or links to previous posts about cleaning WAY UP in the tube. I'm really at a loss. I'd appreciate any help.

Thanks!

EDIT:
I found this post...

And a few people talking about just using iso soaked, 6 inch, Q-tips.

I should read the link before I post. Please disregard everything from me in this post as it is perfectly redundant based on the link above... I am a dummy sometimes. Often. ...most of the time.

There has also been discussion to use a balloon around the bottom of the bamboo and syringe ISO into the bamboo for a soak. Need to be careful not to splash the screen to avoid any possible spillage, but even so, the ISO will evap off quickly and you won't be cleaning while plugged in or hot, so the risk is relatively minor.

I have searched the thread but couldn't find my exact problem so if this is an old subject I apologize.

I got the cloud evo a few months back and it has worked flawlessly until now. For the first few months I could turn the nob all the way on and I would get great toasted ABV. However, recently on these setting it started combusting the material in the EZ load bowl. I tried a different bowl but same result. The unit looks fine and does not seem hotter than normal to the touch. I turned it down to the 12:00 position and still the same result. Could the EZ loads just be worn out or is this a more significant problem.

Sounds like a cracked bamboo. Is it airtight?

No cracks apparent. (I assume you check by turning it on and looking through the top and bottom intakes?) Performing another test run at 12:00. If there isn't a crack and the problem persist is there a potential fix without sending it in? I think I read a similar problem to this in the thread but it was about 200 pages back?

If you are getting combustion at all points on the dial its likely a small crack in the bamboo that may not be visible. While it is cool, block one end and blow/suck on the other to see if it is airtight. Any leak indicates a crack somewhere.

Yeah feels like a large crack. When I cover one end and blow I almost feel no resistance at all. Dang it. I have been so gentle with it. I wonder if my warrant covers it. Or can I get it serviced?

Really wish they still had the live chat on the website.

Only one way to find out, open a support ticket and send the unit in. When they examine your device they will determine warranty eligibility.

Finally!! I'm over my impulse to stuff my ELBs 80% or more. Sheesh! Only took me 2+ years. But, like @Stu, I love weed. What can I say? And I love to stuff the shit out of my ELBs. Not a concentrate guy, so I haven't tried the VXN yet.

But kids, when it comes to flower I'm tellin ya, to get the optimal taste-to-amount ratio (regardless of hydratube) load your ELB no more than 50%.

A public service announcement from your friendly neighborhood Vapinghole.

In that spirit check out my post on the activism and news site. Ok I got a little carried away but I love my pot as well...

And I need to know everything from filtration, to how not to fill up the bowl, how to turn the temp down

Gee from the amount I post you would never know I'm on a medically and very long t-break

using my Claisen to collect the resin, putting my EVO on the curved side, and i've got some nice build up so far!

Update: and tried it in a VXnail, and pretty freakin' effective.
