I am in a similar place. I bought the evo so it wouldn't be so harsh on throat. I am in real trouble. I have to have throat surgery to remove the nodules on them. I have that on thurs Oct 2nd. I haven't done anything since the beginning of Sept and won't be able to do anything again until at least Nov. The nodules have to biospy and while I don't think this is cancer I won't know for sure until I get the biospy back.
I'm pretty depressed about the whole thing. I don't know if I was using it at too high of a tempature; I don't know if I need a better WT with more diffusion (they are so expensive) I think my ENT dr is ready to tell me I can never do anything again. I don't live in legal or medical state and I just don't know about making my own edibles. I have only been using on the weekend since Jan; have taken many breaks and I'm ok with long periods without it. But forever? How messed up is that? I don't want to substitute. I just want my Friday nites back w Bill Maher. If it is cancer I have no one to blame but myself but I have been living so healthy since my mother died. I just pulled my husband thru prostate cancer. I have 3 wonderful children but I feel like I am losing everything. Is there any way to make this less harsh if I can start again.
I know this is childish. I know that moderation is the only way to go. I'm so sick of cancer.
Do any of you have any ideas. This whole thing is putting such a strain on my marriage.

It may our may not help you all with the harshness issues but make sure your bamboo and screens are very clean. Im kind of OCD with cleaning my glass,screens, and vape. My wife not so much so when she doesn't clean things i can really tell a difference with harshness

Im pretty sensitive to the harshness. One thing I noticed is its less harsh if I start very low in temperature and take multiple hits until I get no vapor, then I just bump it up gradually and repeat the process. I find high temperature does not bother me necessarily but high vapor density gets me coughing right away. Another trick is to have a cold beverage and keep sipping on it after every hit or so.

Everyone here is so supportive. I've been using computers for so long but have never gone on Facebook Twitter or anything else. This is the first social media I have ever participated in, if I ever get the chance I will try warm water. I'm such a good cook but I feel to old to start doing this with edibles. It's kinda like I'm losing a really close friend. I would never want my 25 yr old to see this - she's a prosecutor in the Bronx and a mom like this isn't much too be pride of. I never thought it would come to this, I didn't quit the Cigarettes in time; my husband still hasn't quit but it's been a year for me. You know most of the time I'm a very fun and funny person. Stone Monkey you were so nice to me when I finally pulled the trigger and bought the evo. I could sure use any input you might have on this subject.

I LOVE trees but at the end of the day which is more important enjoying your vice or having your health? Dont beat yourself up or feel ashamed that will only lead to a bad cycle. Just focus on your health all else does not matter. I really think if you can, you should go out and do something in nature, you will feel better guarantied.
Do this and I guaranty you will feel better:
Be happy for your health there are people way worse off!
Dont feel bad for yourself, go outside, live life
Start making edibles, stop making excuses
Once you have switched over to edibles maybe add vaping back in just for special occasions?
Just some suggestions, easier said than done of course.
Just wanted to say that I've also been leaning towards small bowls and high temperatures. It seems to be a bit more efficient while also keeping a good flavor even when the material gets pretty brown.
If I load 1/4 or 1/3 of the ELB and keep hitting it, eventually the taste becomes pretty gross for me. But less than that and it seems to stay either tasty or just neutral.

Edibles are super easy to make even if you can barely cook. Basically just put some coconut oil or butter in a slow cooker on low for a few hours, then strain and use in a recipe that calls for oil. Search this forum or google for more methods or recipes.

Man, I just want to say I'm going on a trip for work and I really want to bring the Evo. My wife said what are you nuts? Maybe I am, maybe I am.
But sadly I don't have a travel case, and it's not really practical so I'll have to be cloud less for 5 days. It'll be like a c-break. Cloud break LOL!

I flew from Newark to Denver and back with my evo and carrying case and the scanner didn't even bat an eye in both cases, much to my surprise.
Make sure it's clean and if stopped say its a medical delivery device.
There is no way I'd check it in my luggage or let it our of my sight, too special and would probably end up lost, broken, or "confiscated"
@limom. This vapor tamer works very well, the $95 version is a lot better than the $85 version. I pair it with the hydrafoot 2.0 and it's my fav way to use my evo. That with filtration is awesome. I wouldn't put the tamer right on the evo, get a 18femal 18 male spacer to use with a standard hydrotube.
That being said, I'd experiment with edible or tinctures.

It sounds to me like the last resort is to try bags. Since your vapor gets the most time to cool it can be a smooth hit. After that I think it is edibles. There are some modifications in this thread for making bags with the EVO that you could try instead of spending money on a bag blowing vape.

I have a Butter Machine. Its worth it if you like to make a lot of edibles or tinctures. Its so easy to use and does a great job. Ive made some really, REALLY potent edibles with it. I cant say enough good about it. My only experience with their customer service has been stellar as well.

I pair it with a hydro tube. The hydro tube adds moisture and the tamer gives is a cool minty type feeling. You can use it solo.

Yes to the hydrotube. No to the tamer.
The tamer goes in the freezer when not in use. You don't want water to get in the tamer cause when you put it in the freezer it'll freeze and get clogged
