Oh No! Mr macbill!!

I ordered an EVO+Glass combo yesterday, and it is on its way already. The folks at VapeExhale have caught up: an order made is an order served.

That's awesome that their production is ramping up so much and they are pumping these bad boys out. The more EVO's that get out there the more feedback, and from this thread being as vocal as it is it appears that the NA launch has been nailed. Growing pains with the International, but that will quickly be resolved and die down.

All of the problems wouldn't have occurred if they had just sent the 110V units instead of creating special 220V line of units (just like the other 10 vapes I own which are 110V and working perfectly with a power converter) or simply create a single unit that accepts 100V-250V like the Arizer Solo.

Surely one of the worst business decisions ever made

Two Announcements!

2. 420 SALE!!! We have very strict MSRP rules so what we are going to do is throw in a couple of VapeXNails for each EVO purchase from now until 4/21.

Also, if you order a HydraTube, you will get ONE free VapeXNail

These will be available early May and we will send them out as soon as we have them in our hands.

3. Discounted EVO Packages will also end on 4/21 - If you are thinking of getting one at the discounted rate, I would definitely do it now!

Excited to see how these turn out!

Hard to get excited about buying glass when my Evo has been sitting in a box for MONTHS, still waiting for the support ticket reply. Still using my Cloud tho....I guess that's something.

I just checked our support queue, everything is cleared out and everyone has been answered. Would you mind submitting another ticket?

Hey so I just turned my cloud evo on. It is solid red for about 5-10 secs and then it just starts to blink red. Before this I have left my cloud in my car trunk and its been cold recently so perhaps it is blinking because it hasn't reached a certain internal temperature to start heating up. I will wait maybe 20 minutes and let you guys know what happens

Wait let me get this straight the issues I've been reading pages and pages about...are only for the 220v versions?

....would've bought this a month or two ago...

JUST ORDERED MINE! I just had to take advantage of the 4/20 sale and get the vape of my dreams. I got the barrel hydrotube along with the vape and some extra bowls. I am so excited for this to arrive! It says it should arrive by next thursday from Pennsylvania to the bay area. Any tips for a new user? I have a SSV but have always wanted the xhale evo. I was reading that if you hold it upside down to use it with a bong or something there is a weird smell that smells like hot electronics or something. I was reading about it on these forums, is this still a concern? Or can I use the vape upside down with a bong.

EVER? There has to be some intended hyperbole there, right?

Hindsight is 20/20. How bout we try to just let them work it out and be a patient adult if you are waiting. These guys are not sitting around swimming through piles of money - they're working on issues and innovations. We would do right to try to keep that in mind and give a little leeway to such a young product. Expectations for immediate perfection will only leave you wanting.

I am not saying problems are not problems, but I think the immediacy of how issues get discussed often makes them seem a lot worse than they may actually be. I am also not saying that anyone needs to accept a sub-par unit. But I think there are enough out there now that we can start seeing those issues as the exception, not the norm (and that will come true for the 220V units as well). Just keep in mind that we know a LOT more about the problems and the solutions than we need to, and that is because the company has shared the information with us openly. They do not need to do that....

I have had moments of panic when I was SURE my unit was getting too hot, then I thought it was not getting hot enough, then I thought there was too much airflow, then I thought there was not enough. What happened there was that I started paying more attention to what others were saying about THEIR unit, and giving that more credence than my own experience with my unit. That is easy to do when you drop a large sum on something you are not all that experienced with (at the time totally naive to anything other than the concept).. As soon as I got talked off the ledge (thank you SM) and started simply enjoying and not looking for an issue, I realized my shit is on point. And I'm happy about it.

The smell only occurs if you leave the unit sitting upside down while hot for a little while without hitting it, and apparently it only occurs on a minority of units.

I can get mine to smell if I try, but I use it upside down all the time with zero issue. I would never want to leave the EVO sitting idle in a glass joint anyway for fear that it would get knocked over

It's not really an issue IMO, more like a quirk. No worries here. Thing just keeps pumping out clouds of potent deliciousness

I wanted to update everyone on what's going on with my evo. The repair department received it on the 7th and I got an email last night regarding them shipping it back out. I asked them what the issue was and they told me a firmware update was required. Fingers crossed that this is the issue and I won't need to send it back. Never really got to enjoy my evo as its performance was not where it should have been so here's to TAKE TWO... And action !

If my most recent EVO is any sign, the newest firmware is AWESOME! (Makes a huge difference in performance ... I really can't believe how well this performs--better than either of my 2 Clouds or 2 Cloud+'s!)

I am in the exact same boat. It's a nice boat.

Yes, ever.
Planning and engineering are flawed if there was any intent to go international. You don't create a unit that heats directly from AC power, being exposed to each country's unique voltage and spikes. The EVO should have come with a power supply, which always provides a consistent voltage and current regardless of the local country's voltage.

If they had used a proprietary power supply, then instead of creating a 220V EVO they could have created a 220V EVO power supply!
It's obvious that QC of a vaporizer is MUCH more complicated than QC of a power supply.

And this wouldn't have happened:

Most of the units (not all) that are running too hot are in countries that run at 240V (and sometimes higher depending on the location and how clean the power is) so our engineers are working on a new algorithm that will automatically adjust the vaporizer's heat range to the voltage that it sees. Previously, the algorithm was optimized for 220V but programmed with a buffer so even a 240V jolt wouldn't affect the unit but we have been told that in certain areas you can see spikes of 250V+ during certain scenarios.

How about just offering international customers a choice between the 110V version and waiting for a working 220V version? This has been suggested a number of times to no reply from Vapxhale...

There is no denying that the international release has been a catastrophe and that we are entitled to a fair amount of frustration and vitriol. It's all very well telling us to be patient but I've spent over $900 with Vapexhale and am still waiting for a working device. It's been over six months now! I can understand that there will be teething issues with a new product and young company but my patience has been exhausted after endless missed deadlines and broken promises.

And just to add insult to injury we were told that we were getting a free gift to thank us for our patience but it wasn't included in the international packages and nothing else was ever mentioned about it. Now I discover that anyone who orders a new Evo or HydraTube before 4/21 gets a free Vapexnail- not only am I an Early Bird contributor but I also bought an extra HydraTube at the end of March (when I thought I might get a working Evo) and therefore just missed out on this deal. It's kicks in the teeth like this that get me down- someone can order a Evo today, receive a free gift and be using it weeks/months before I am likely to get a working device. And I am one of the enthusiastic people who helped get Vapexhale started again!

I apologise for complaining but by God I am entitled to :)

TGIF! Two announcements for this lovely Friday.

International Customers, we have hired an additional engineering firm to help us resolve the 220V issue. Because of the length of time it has taken, we are going to send ALL of you guys 110V units (just keep your existing 220 whether it works or not), a 300 watt 110-220 converter, 1 EVO heat shield (3.2 mm neoprene that International customers will get FIRST), AND (that's not all) $50 in store credit (ELBs, VapeXNails, credit towards a HydraTube). When the 220s are out, you can keep using your 110V with power converter OR you can send it back to your local partner of VapeXhale and they can exchange your 110 for a 220. Feel free to email support@vapexhale.com if you have any more questions.

4/20 announcement - We will be in Denver in the Swagger Glass booth and if any of you guys are in the San Francisco Bay Area, I will be at one of SF's premier dispensaries, Igzactly420 on Sunday from 12-5pm. Come visit us and try the new VapeXNail!

Wow, way to step up SM55!

I knew VXL would find a way to take care of the international customers. They had some major issues, took criticism/feedback, and are doing everything they can to rectify the situation. Sure, never having the issues to begin with is ideal, but things happen. It's just comforting to see VXL react to it in a manner such as this.

Now I just need to get my hands on a VapeXNail...

WOW, this is the best customer service story I've ever heard of on FC or elsewhere. I don't use the bulgy eye smiley very often but this calls for it. :o:o:o

Yeah, more companies should follow VXL's foot-steps in being real, accessible, and direct with their customers. :) I'm a fan!
