Did you find any other settings that had changed? Just curious before I update firmware because I don't use eco mode. Ralph had said one time that the coils should just barely be glowing at 260C if it was calibrated correctly

Didn't notice any other settings had changed apart from my Tubo logo is now gone, but that will be pretty easily rectified by just plugging it in again and loading the logo into the installer. Nothing else noticeable but who knows what is going on under the hood!

Yes , I checked ,
Ok, anyone else having issues with the new Tubo firmware? Now when I cruise with mine the coils glow up orange! Never had that before so turned it straight off!

Edit: I have now changed the Eco level to 3 and no more glowing coils! That's a relief. Will have to experiment between each level to see where the balance is between too much and just enough power.

and the locked resistance went to .450 or so - from .263 - in cruise and " check to no " ...reset and then was ok but happened again and climbed to 500 .
I decided to " check to yes " and now know when the locked res. change , decreased from .263 to (always) .260 .
Tomorrow I" ll try to reflash the tubo f/m in my RXG3D.

always enter menu, coils,TUBOset after an update, the values sometimes dont get taken over and entering the menu saves them again.

the locked resistance is not displayed anymore in the newest firmware, you dont need that. it will not change if you have it locked.

see the extended manual on lamart.ch to see how you can change the third line. you can set it to display live resistance if you are interested in that

Is the "Check" supposed to be set to "Yes" or "No"? The manual on lamart website shows it set to No, but the firmware changed it to Yes when I updated. Also, on the Algo menu, "Boost" was changedto 50% and "I" was set to 650, instead of 0% and 600 like on the manual. Sorry if this has already been asked, but does anyone know the best / recommended settings?

Yep, I’ve had a dual some they dropped and just updated to the latest firmware. When I updated it increases the resistance from .233 to .290. The coils looked like they were on fire so I checked all the settings haha..

Hello Tubo family!
haven't been around for a while but made the switch to the new forum now.
My OG Tubo unfortunately got a crack in its female glass part by now (unknown origin), but it's still working and delivering ;)

Will try the new software soon :)
The new Tetra looks great too, especially the smaller form factor. Maybe I'll have the money at some point :)

BTW, what*s all of yours highscores on flappybirds? I think mine is 67 (on normal mode) xD

What bong/bubbler and batteries do you recommend? How's a mobius matrix sidecar? Would the cork adapter fit in it? I want a D020-D, but that'd take a while to arrive.

I really like the D020
Batteries.. I got 2x LG HG2 and 4x Sony VTC6, can recommend these.

I ended up getting Molicel P26As because everything else was out of stock and I've seen these recommended on the Tetra P80 thread.

Do you mean the D020, or the D020-D? Would I need a special gong or WPA or something to connect the vape to it/other bubblers and bongs? I'm not sure if the ones I already have from Lamart would do it for something like the matrix sidecar or SAML/FC-UFO, FC rattle can, etc.

Do you guys have any tips for more consistent results? I'm still not perfect, but better and better each day, mostly-ish. My girlfriend can't get it to work for her, though, and she's sick of trying and would rather stick to the Mighty.

Also, any tips for getting more flavor and sensation? I still have trouble with this even with different methods.

I know that the temperature isn't exact because the heater is much further from the material than in some other vapes, and because it's convection, but how much do you think it's off by? Sometimes I want to stop before reaching linalool or 388F, for example. Or I want to get THC-V and CBC at 428F, but I'm not sure where I should stop increasing. I've been doing 430-440 for this.

trying to get a specific compound at a specific temperature is going to be difficult regardless of the vape in my experience... But for starters, how are you loading? And how are you drawing? On what temperature? And on demand, preheat, or cruising, etc?

I usually load basket screens with the straw method, and I often find that I struggle to get results if I draw too hard or fast, which is confusing. Of my accessories, other than the bong, I have the best luck with my whip and inhaling slowly and long but it's hard to go slow enough sometimes. With the bong, it's like a kind of yawning breath.

I also do seem to have to put a screen in or a top hat basket screen to prevent material from falling out of the basket. I can't tell when it does that.

340-435F. I almost always use warm up and cruising, at least for a bit to get it and the glass warm, then stop after a few hits. I also do on demand with warm up.

Ah okay so I will say for one thing that having a bubbler like the ones you mentioned will help you hone in your technique, they help you figure out an effective consistent draw for pure convection vaping, and nice to keep the stem and herb basket upside down so the tetra is like your lighter no worries of anything falling (I also always take at least the first hit upside down to get the herbs seeded in the basket so nothing will fall out, but I often just use my tetra upside down the whole time) through water you will want to use at least temp 390F.

So yeah I would recommend filling the basket full leaving it opened and keeping your stem and the tetra upside down (I keep it cruising, and remove the tetra to clear each hit)... Try to use a grind that is a consistent medium fine, I find that to be the most effective here. Then try not taking more than a hit or two at each temperature, if you are temp stepping, and also try just using 380 for a balance of taste and clouds and effects, especially on demand style without warm up even (if you want to stick to the lower side)

I think you just need to spend more time with it and you will figure out how it works for you, temperature being relative you kind of just have to try and see... part of the other factor is like no two herbs are the same, like I get a different strain and different consistency of different nugs, you know? So just keep testing, I think you'll develop a frame of reference, for what settings to use for what type of results, based on the other variables.

I don't have any of those specific bubblers yet, unforunately. I just ordered the D020-D from sunshinestore but it'll be at least a month. I agree that hitting it upside down is better, especially for smaller amounts of weed, but I also want to be able to do this hands free, which is where the whip comes in. I've also tried taking the first hit or a few upside down with the whip and other stems. it seems to work for a little then it falls out, I think. I can't tell when it does or if it's when I'm taking the stem out.

I think my grind is medium and mostly consistent but I'm not sure. Why only two at each temperature? I like temperature stepping mode, but I also think it kills it too quickly. I can get more hits at each temperature without it, but I'm still not sure if it's really worth it, taking more hits at each temperature. I know the idea of terpenes and cannabinoids vaporize at certain temperatures, but I'm still confused on whether or not starting high does yield less effects in comparision, or if it just extracts it all faster.

I've noticed that sometimes I can keep going all the way to 430F and get results, though it's weaker and tastes worse past 400 ish. But sometimes it stops doing anything and just gets drier and browner. Same with the Mighty, but she stops it at 372ish because it seems cashed then. I know it shouldn't be like that.

I've had this for two months so I've had time, and I've gotten a lot better but yeah :\

Oh yeah, what I mean about the two hits at a temp, if you are a temp stepping and you take more hits at the lower settings you won't get much out of it at the higher settings... so that would explain what you were describing. And yes if you take a hit at 380 you're not losing out on the lower temp compounds, you are just getting them along with more of the upper temp compounds as well! To help keep it in the stem, try a little tamp with your finger as well, also yeah big pieces and dry herb doesn't stay put as well so it could just depend on the bud... I think a fine grind is a little better, try that out with like a much finer grind than you were using before, then you can load more in the basket and pack it in and after the first hit it should be extremely secure... you also should get more out of the lower temps this way, but again if you are doing a lot of hits at the lower temps you won't see as much from the upper temps... So yeah I would say that it's the first thing for you to try, since it seems like you are a trying a lot, keep it up!

you sure it's calibrated well? on 384F the taste is amazing, even on 390F, and on 428F you are getting huge clouds but without hotspots?
