Tornado by Vestratto

Thank you! Hmm, I was expecting a larger diameter..The Vestratto has a diameter of 9.3mm, and my capsules have the smallest diameter of 10 mm..It turns out that neither the tornado nor the Vestrato capsules will fit..
What capsule do you have?

Ah, ok. I have a Fury2/POTV1 that’s just a little too big to fit in the bowl.
I think the POTV capsule could be made it fit well by removing 11.1 mm of the bowl. The bowl would still screw in to capture the capsule (and otherwise be useless). Until there are replacement bowl’s available, I wouldn’t personally try this concept.

If this isnt too far off topic, what is everyones favorite glass for this unit? I am currently using an orb v3. Im super grateful that it came with a 14mm adapter because its the 18mm version. But with the o-rings on the tornado I just know at some point im going to pull the adapter out and shatter it. Would prefer a smaller 14mm dedicated unit for this one I think.

CC Prophet. It's like they're built for each other.

After several days of continuous use with my Tornado, I’m giving it a perfect 5/5 rating – this is an exceptional vape! I place it on equal footing with the one I’ve been using lovingly since 2023. But the two are really very different, and I love that they are.
I’ve ordered a Blazer Firefox to reconnect with butane heating after my bad experience... but it’s also motivated by the desire to get a new "TED"-style vape, apparently that’s how it's called.
The Tornado has opened a new door to my VAS 😆🤟🏻

My ‘nado would only recognize in the flare if I held it just right and only every 3-4 tries.

I had to switch to the wand upside down which isn’t ideal. I’m a torchless ent so was hoping for a better IH experience

The Flare appears to be much less ideal for use with the Tornado....Thats why i will be ordering The wand...ive seen amazing results from many people here on the forum with it....I just wish vestratto would fucking sell me a Tornado.

The flare is consistent, easy, and a repeatable experience for me.
I’ll take a look for your video, I would much rather use the flare and am eager to figure it out.

The wand has only been used for tempest with the insert lately, I’ve been flare only otherwise and I prefer the numerical countdown so I can chill instead of counting seconds or blinks.

If it helps, I've got the wand dialled in to where I can just let it time out and get consistent results. Torch gets the edge for performance, but the wand is way more replicable for me.

That’s how I use my tempest on first cold heat. I believe it’s set to 525f, which sets the tornado on fire haha.

Thanks for chiming in, I’ll definitely give it a go, what settings do you run?

240°C til time out. There's a good amount of variance in the wand and appears to be some variance in how we prefer to run our tornados. Took me a while to dial in, but dial it in I did.

100% for me too. Im guessing from your handle that you're in Oz? The nice and somewhat unique thing about the tornado amongst metal heads is that it can take as much heat as you can throw at it (As Roffa discussed, thank you Roffa! All your advice has been on point for me personally ;-). A cheap torch head off ebay or Amazon (one that has METAL internals) which fits onto those 4 for $4 camping butane cans is SUPER consistent for me. Big flame where the hottest point (just after the inner flame) completely covers the head.. rotate for 10 seconds for a lighter roast and 11 for darker, 12 for an extraction that is visually like posters earlier in this thread were debating whether pyrolization had occurred.

Also I never had any instances with heatlock of the tornado head using torches. Using induction heating I have to leave the threads super loose to avoid this. TLDR big torch and stopwatch awesome for large groups camping and hotswapping bowls.

Lovely flavour and vape signature with the big torch (shorter cook time) and perfectly acceptable flavour with the wand for no think horizontal body vapin' times

Yeah, I'm from the antipodes. As for the massive torch and watch combo, I vape outside and we get wild variability in temps here and it does have an effect on the timing, I need some sort of feedback from the vape itself to know I'm near the temp I want. Couldn't dial in the tornado when I didn't have usable clicks cos of this. Plus, shiny things exist and I'm easily distracted, a click brings my focus right back!
