I used yesteday my old anvil stem and Roffa is right : it is much better.
Somebody know where to order the original mouthpiece of the anvil (not the XL) in EU ? I will build a second complete stem. Need juste the heat shield and the mouthpiece.
I still have problem with sticky bowl. I notice it happen when I remove the bowl after the hit to remove the avb and put it again in the oven or when I cool down with the cooler of scruffy. Need to investigate that.
Heat retention could be better I found because there is a lot of vapor during the first seconds of the hit and after it decrease very fast.
I will not be surprised that we will have a V2 of the tornado ...

RE: Sticking bowl, have you tried backing off the bowl a fraction after screwing on? Heating/cooling can cause threaded components to tighten up.

Unscrew a little bite the bowl before using your cooler ? I will try that next time

I think if the material is fully extracted at the end of the heat cycle, then maybe the seeming lack of heat retention is just very quick extraction. I would only be concerned if I was routinely needing to apply more heat to finish the bowl.

It doesn't seem suitable to a casual joint puff style however. I don't think it would have the same heat cycle window as one of thr balled butane vales. It seems it's for the direct to lung bong hit types. Which is what describes me 80% of the time.

Yeah fair point. I think this vape will do one thing very well, fast deep roast DTL extractions with lots of conduction. It doesn't seem a very versatile vape for sure. I think if it does that one thing really well, then plenty of people will find value in owning one.

still I beg to differ, but you'll find out for yourself. There's a lot of finesse to this vape that isn´t apparent at first.

I'm just going of what the other user said. A few people have mentioned a short extraction window.

I don't need to pretend a vape is the best at absolutely everything to want to buy it. That's why I have multiple vapes. If the Tornado is more suited to full roast DTL hits then that's fine by me.

I would rather have a vape that performs extremely well in a narrow set of parameters, than an underwhelming jack of all trades.

You are drawing conclusions that the user himself has not asserted, there is a learning curve to this vape with practically no instructions, other than the threads provided by ACTUAL users.

Normal folks don't go into every other thread in this forum and draw grand conclusions about vapes without having used them, it's simply annoying and misleading.

I was defending the vape. A user said the heat retention is not very long. I said that shouldn't matter. I'm very confused by all of this.

I'll stop posting in the thread. I'll keep reading however. So thanks to everyone posting their opinions, and to those who will do so in the future.

I really think you should just be quiet and let others with actual experience with the device speak my friend. Just because you can’t understand why you’re annoying half the thread doesn’t invalidate their feelings of annoyance.

I recall being happy to interact with anyone anytime in the Tempest thread. I didn't take anyone's opinions personally.

Seriously though after consistently using the Tornado and then trying the anvil, it was harsh to me. Still a great signature, but missing that smoothness.

After learning that the Tornado is not an Anvil, I believe heat retention is actually longer with the Tornado. 2-3 big pulls are no problem here leaving the load complete.

AVB color…so much debate about this. Unless it’s green and you didn’t get enough heat, don’t worry about it. To be as PC as possible, color doesn’t matter.

With the anvil, I was all about RTL, pushing for a darker roast. Then I got the venty and I was pleasantly surprised by the effects I was getting from a much lighter roast. I’ve stopped pushing for RTL. With the tornado, going lighter still milks like crazy and the vapor is that much smoother without compromising on effect. It’s legit like breathing in dense air. You’ll still cough a few seconds after the exhale though, because you’re still taking in a boatload of cannabinoids, which trigger the cough reflex.

I feel RTL destroys some of the good cannabinoids and terps, and actually decreases potency. Don’t quote me though.

I think it's normal to get differing user reports at first. Especially when users are figuring it out. I'll stop my conjecture and just wait till I have it. My point was simply that I didn't care if some people report low heat retention. I just don't think it needs it. I honestly thought i was defeding the vape. I think people are presuming im being a dick even when im not. That's my fault.

If you are having a different experience to that other guy fair enough. That's interesting.
