Tornado by Vestratto

@AndyO @PrematureEvaporation I'm doing separate adaptors for 8mm and 9mm stems. O-rings including spares provided.

@Duba I don't suppose you have one of the 9mm Dani pokers to see whether this adapter will fit?

I'll get an 8mm for sure, but I'll be a bit bummed out if I get a 9mm shipped around the world and it doesn't do the one thing I'm really keen on it (the 9mm) for.

I have a BFG 9mm wpa but i don't have the 9mm tornado adapter, only the 8mm one.

+1. I’d be very interested in this too. Would love to pair the Tornado to the poker.

I've only had this piece for a week but for someone who heats exclusively with the Wand, this is the best tip I've ever encountered. Full stop.

The bowl is huge. The hits are huge. The flavor is phenomenal and with the Wand, I've been able to dial in pretty much any roast I want in seconds. I haven't combusted once 🤞and I feel I have good control over the heating. I've had over 10 bowls now and I've only heard it click twice. Both times it was unintentional since I like less heat and more flavor.

The vapor smoothness is really something special. It allows me to take bigger rips than I've ever been able to take from a "dynavap" style vape or even a portable ball vape like my Stunner or Dani. Also, it heats up in significantly less time.

In my eyes this is the reference to beat right now. Kudos to Vestratto. I'm kinda glad I skipped the Anvil and fell on this guy for my first product from them based on what I'm reading from Anvil owners. No disrespect to the Tempest, and I can't really compare as I don't own one, but I speculate I'd still like this guy better.

'Nuff said. I know we shouldn't discuss comparisons.

The confusion is because the Poker has a bit of a weird shape, and 9mm doesn't automatically mean it fits - the Stunner is a 9mm, but because of it's shape, it doesn't fit the poker.
What’s the opening diameter of the poker? Maybe it can be sized against the diameter of the adapter

I freakin' love this thing. It's like the perfect roast every time.

I'm gonna need more than one of these. Don't know much about Vestratto's roadmap but do people think we'll wait long for an official stem from them? @Whiff?

I need to experience this on a stem. Thinking about @ScruffyWoofers's solution.

I would just jump on Scruffy's. Looks high quality and good price. Even if/when Vestratto releases an official stem, you will still want the option to try it on all your existing stems.

Maybe John will make the perfect stem for it . Hopefully its done so we can get them before Christmas time😆
Probably. But I can’t imagine this to happen just in time before Christmas. I‘m super excited to hit the Tornado native, so I ordered the 8mm adapter from @ScruffyWoofers - and one of their beautiful stems 😍 Can’t wait for this to arrive.

Wow, that is one good looking stem, good catch 💑 Did you contact him directly or is there a shop? Tried Google but didn't see it.
Yeah, it’s an absolute beauty. I was lucky to get the color and style I liked the most from all the scruffy work I‘ve seen. I wrote a direct message here, but to see the recent work you have to go on Instagram.

Nice stem. If I had not an allergy to my favorite plant and use only water, I will buy one.

I tryed yesteday with the wand and it was nice. Maybe need a little bite more heat. I improved also the technics with the ronxs. I torched too much the "atomizer" part, that's why I had a little bite combustion at the click every time.
I stop also to use my magnet to remove the bowl, because with the cool down, the bowl lock. A piece of leather and it is better, or I need to unscrew a little bite before to use the magnet.
Tornado work nice when you know how to use it. It is even too strong for a daily use.

I’m hoping 3rd parties start making dedicated tornado stems to put the pressure on vestratto

Many aftermarket stems will work well with the Tornado imo, which doesn't get too hot and has a rather gentle vapor. The ones I've been able to try pose no problems whatsoever, neither for the vapor nor for the stem. The @ScruffyWoofers's solution looks neat!

@invertedisdead Still waiting for that Solo stem! Stop flirting with the Tornado owners ;)

On another note, one thing I’ve enjoyed reading is the general consensus that the vapour produced by the Tornado is both voluminous and extremely smooth and tolerable. Back when this first hit the market I was worried it’d need a revolve stem or something of similar cooling.

I think I’ll get a nice unibody walnut wood stem made by a local artisan who’s already done great work for me. No intercoolers or other bells and whistles and settings to fiddle with. Straight bore from oven to mouthpiece. Was going to fit it to my Dani stem but I think I’m enjoying the Fusion too much to split them up

I have a TM2, solo 3, dyna, Dani Fusion, and tempest, and the Tornado definitely has the smoothest vapor out of them all!

I almost always run my devices through water, but the tornado is getting a dedicated dry setup.

It's the fact that it's a lot smoother than the Anvil that really interests me. As it's most similar. It suggests the changes are the cause of that smoothness.

Does anyone have any more information on the secondary atomiser? Is it really just a narrowed section of the stem? Surely there must be more to it? Something is going on for sure. Too much smoke, with everyone saying the smoothness stands out

My post from this morning already has more likes so there might already be more interest in a Vestratto stem than a Solo stem.

In theory I'd like to offer them all. Really I just want to make stuff that people truly want to see.

Haha don’t worry I was just messing!

You need to do what’s right for your business. I’m sure whatever you choose to do there’ll always be buyers lining up. If that’s a Tornado stem then it’s all cool. We all want to see Phase3 up there with the big names

Personally I won’t be so interested in a Tornado stem as it doesn’t seem to need much cooling at hi temp compared to the viciously hot S3 vapour - so I’ll be going more for aesthetic and feel with a nice wood stem :D

Yes, it is a narrowing in the neck but it's also heated by the copper core inside. What I've read about the Sublimator (the OG atomizing vape) is that you used the heated head to bring the bowl to equilibrium (which is also what the Tornado does, apparently) and force the vapor through the reduction to increase vacuum pressure, which along with the heat reduces particle size. The Electropath is heated with its own coil so you can actually adjust for more or less effect.

With the Tornado, you can also adjust by torching the neck, but care and technique is needed to avoid combustion.

I'll love any stem that's ceramic but I still maintain a nice 14mm ceramic j-hook with cooling features would be a great piece for multiple vapes.

I'd love a ceramic stem for the Tornado though 😎
