Thank you everyone for the help! I appreciate it!

What temp setting you on? I put in less than 0.1g in and vape when I like. I start at 3.5

I usually start at 5 or 5.5. I’ll try the lower temps now for sure

For me when I want to take very small hits I press the button and wait for it to heat up. Buzzes. Draw and almost immediately release the button and continue inhaling until the vapor stops.

It dilutes your draw(with normal air) and stretches your load.

that’s also a good tip! I’ll try it!

yeah you've got some other good tips so far, but for starters use the little basket screen in front of the cooling unit at the very edge of the stem. If you then load into that by sucking up like a straw, it should not be more than .05g like you are used to. Also I don't know what temp setting you were using, but I often start below level 3 even, temp stepping each hit by .5 typically... You can also try loading even less, just enough to cover the screen, and turn it up to 6 or 8 for one big hit too (one hitter style) and everything in between. I know it's difficult to test extensively with such a low tolerance, but since it's still early try to spend a little more time with it and see if you can find a usage style that works for you!

that’s one thing I’ve been thinking about but then I’d have to load it between almost every hit. I’m looking a way to load much more to it but consume it in a small “sessions”. English is not my main language so it’s quite hard for me to explain .. for an example: I’d like to load 1g to my TM and consume it in 20 sessions/hits so I’d consume 0.05g in every one of those hits without a need to load more material between every hit.

edit: I combined the tips from @lordpilko and @Glatch and I guess it’s working or then it’s placebo. I don’t get any visible vapor but it feels like it’s working. I’m not shure

my herb is pretty dry and i get some vapour at 3.5 , at 4 I get quite a lot.

Also if you are finding that the herb is getting spent faster than you want, take shorter pulls. you shoudl be able to find a balance bwtween temp and pull length to get the small dose you want

How do you connect the two segments of the cooling unit without the bolt?

I think he means nuts and washers (ring) :brow:

In order to push the CU up in the stem i use a pointy metal stir tool (VapeCritic one) thus i manage to only push on the side of the CU, the SS cylinder, and don't touch the screen at all :2c:

I use Buds pick or S&B brush to move the CU around, in the middle of a session i use to stir and with the stem hot i barely notice the CU moving but it doesn't need to much to move it around, usually i push down the CU so i can stir without dropping any greens.

@murf2010

Sometimes I get really silly.

I don't have an AVB picture from that one but it turned out pretty good. I started at 3.5 and I was in terpene heaven. The more I pack the lower I keep the temps, at least initially so it cooks more evenly.

Dam thats super silly :o:lol::rofl::lol::o i never use more than a S&B dosing capsule, if there is something the TM shines is with small loads, i think you will have better performance/results/experience doing 3x small loads than 1 big like that one, but still good to know works well with such amount, for me max .2 and usually between .1-.15

Sorry i started a few pages ago, so now i got to see the violator kush experiment, dam thats a lot of draws and a really good-looking AVB!!!! great results imo

it works great between 6-9, so maybe I need to calibrate mine down 3 with that special menu. I'll reach out to them.

Actually the TM is really straight forward for any user, in 5m anyone can master the device is not that hard, i think that the main thing with any vape is the cultivar, the greens, the flower, i never got a nicer 1st cloud from a portable like i do with the TM.... or maybe u need to ramp up the temp by just a little, dont get me wrong sometimes i actually move my fav setting depending on strain, humidity, cure etc... and regarding the temp setting i start at 5 and finish at 6.5 and i like to have the ability to go to 10, not for me, for the combustion friends that find vaping light so i can bust their lungs in a healthy way :rofl::lol:

To be clear, most users should never need to do this at all btw, it is hidden for a reason. You do not need to do it to get good performance at lower settings with a properly functioning TM

 You only need to change the temp settings calibration if 10 doesn't work for you... 10 becomes "11" when you step up 1 level (if i understood correctly from the maker) or if at 1 still to hot for you, decreasing 1 level down or more... so you can work between -3 to +13 but the dial only shows 1-10 and you need to change the temp settings, i already "played" around with this and i found myself using the standard colour green 0, so peeps this is just a small tweak and not that important... unless....

Aside from the safety issues you’ve addressed, does the use of an external charger help with the longevity of devices?

Not of the device but the longevity of the batteries i think :hmm:

I usually start at 5 or 5.5. I’ll try the lower temps now for sure

Yeah i think smaller the load lower the temp, makes sense...

Cheers

anybody knows from which material the ring is which holds the screen above the oven?
stainless steel or Aluminum. i think SS but i am dont sure at all

- today i used first time a dome screen which the TM Dude sent me in last delivery. it is some like this

https://www.ebay.de/itm/BMTick-Metal-Gauze-Screen-x-25-Filter-Kit-for-Arizer-Solo-Air-glass-tube/301959294990?ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649

i put it over the other screen from the CU

i am now had 1 day vaping with theses screens and i mean the ABV is more even brown

except for the small area above the screen as before. but in my opinion that in the screen is more even. I think I'll buy a few

Just a simple dome screen below the Cooling Unit to hold flower, correct? That’s my current setup and has been for most of my 2-month Tinymight ownership. Works great for me. My CU is a bit further up stem away from the heater. I’m waiting on my rimmed screens to arrive for the heater screen mod per @dzoinp . It might add functional flexibility for me to space the flower and gently tamp it in place, with or without the domed screen in the stem. I’m hoping I could remove the dome screen in the stem with the heater screen mod. We’ll see. All good. Lots of possibilities with this vape for everyone’s personalization. TGIF! :peace:

As we all play around with the device remember that not only are the devices different but we are different. The settings from one person may provide guidance or a trial for someone else but whether it works and I enjoy it depends on personal taste. Experiment to find what works for you.

Try starting low and slowly increase the temp. Try starting at a high temp. Play around with the amount of material. I found it very simple to get good hits with no fussing.

Yeah I don't think this is what it is quite the best at, as we see above it can work, but I would never load any amount anywhere near that, 1g is crazy, I find it far more efficient to load .1g at a time, still get several big hits, I can take a few turn it off and come back to it later. And then the flavor is much better for each bowl, and no stirring required, sorry I guess I don't really see what the big deal is having to reload a stem, that's one of the things I love about stem vapes is that they're so quick and easy to load and unload... You'll figure it out for you, good luck!

I was having trouble with the screen on the cu getting clogged quickly and limiting airflow. I removed the stock cu screen and inserted an Imp basket into the cu minus the lid. So now the "charge" is actually inside the first chamber of the cu. Perfect volume for a session, and the screen basket breathes easier than the stock screen. No difference in perceived vapor temp, and much better function for me overall.

Yeah smaller is better for sure. 0.25g or less is much more ideal then my clown car load I did above . It works surprisingly well and is more meant to show how capable the Tinymight is. The experience is better with a smaller load as it means no stir but also the more you load the more the draw resistance increases and the stringer the flavour is at the beginning but also at the end.

I probably should have ordered some with my recent order (picked up Nomad stems) but the results sound less ideal compared to just packing the stem. Plus I just got a Mighty so that's my dosing cap option.

Does anyone know how quick the battery drains if left in standby mode? (like I keep doing)

It's a shame there is no auto shutoff

I would think that putting the Imp inside the first chamber of the CU would change things a bit. As the heated air is passing by/through the Imp, some of it would be heating up the walls of the first cu chamber as well, robbing the Imp/weed of some of that heat. In other words, the weed would not be vaporised at the same temp as it would have with a stock configuration where the heated air hits the weed first, then the cu. I would think the temp dial would need to be nudged up to get the same heat applied to the weed.

Not saying it's bad, or that once adapted to, it would be any less effective. :)

Just wanted to report that my order placed on 4/30 was just received today in the US. Only two days after it was actually marked shipped. Upon first inspecting the device I will say that the cooling unit seemed to be slipping around in the stem a bit so I checked o ring fit and seems to be a bit better now. When I initially went to move it though I accidentally dislodged the little screen and had to fish it out and re seat. Should be ready to rock now. Definitely looking forward to it and may eventually experiment with some different screen placement methods.

thx, that means Imp basket are dosings capsules ?

No actually I believe @abracadaver was referring to the regular imp basket screens, not the imp capsules... The MistVape Imp basket screens fit in the TM stem to use as a nice basket screen.

same here..always in standby ... :hmm:
I only turn it off when I go to sleep
During the day I don't notice battery discharge between sessions

Yes, auto shutoff after 30 min was ideal

The next stem mod that works well for me is a concentrate pad as a screen in the Grav stem with internal glass screen. The stainless pad keeps the snacks out of the mouth and when it starts to get slower due to condensate buildup, ramp the temp up, and vape a stem minus the herb. Straight convection extract consumption.

I'm curious about this as well. Does it make more sense to leave it in standby if you're taking a couple hits and then not hitting it again for like an hour? This would depend on whether turning it on and off would drain the battery faster, I guess...
