TinyMight / TM 2

Guys, I'm getting MAD.
Even with a more foil, it worked for some puffs but then it didn't anymore (still vibrate too soon and no vapor and heating).
So in this month goes up and down, and I'm not getting the point.
It looks like the more foil i put, more larger is the space between wood and metal plate.
With more foil, the tm of course close a little bit upper (i can see the clear wood line where the top cap arrived before the add on).
That's my fix atm (with a little bit more foil)
I know, some of you would say to send to fix it (ps shouldn't be 10 years warranty? Why i have to pay to fix it +shipping 😅) but i m moving abroad.
I need to let it work constantly, so as i feel I'm close to the answer, let's find it together, please 🙏😭
I m going back to fuckin combustion, and i must avoid it.
So.
More foil?
Pull up a little bit the bottom plate that touch the battery pin?
And mostly, why many of you fixed the issue with this and i can't?!
Heeeellpp 🤕🤯

No...
The idea is to add about 1mm in height.
Make sure the foil is compressed well...

If it were me, I would calibrate the TM to maximum
In few words how to recalibrate?
Normally this thing fix this kind of issue (working /not working)?

Before you try recalibrating, try slightly bending that metal contact point so it hits the top metal piece when screwed together tight. Once I did that, I discarded the foil altogether.

To be honest i don't see how recalibrating would fix your issues.

Recalibration is for units that run too hot or too cold and as far as i know it's not a fix for units that don't seem to be heating/working at all...
I tried skimming back a bit but can't find your posts where you fully explain the problem you are having so some questions for clarity:
What happened exactly to yours?
How long have you got it? Did it work normal at first?
Was it your unit that had a problem with the heater (ceramic pins dislodged?)?
Or was it malfunctioning from the start?

Why i have to pay to fix it +shipping

😅

Who said you would have to pay?
You send an email to the manufacturer explaining your problems and asking for a warranty repair. Usually they will send you a shipping label (paid by them) so you can send it in (on their costs).
If it's under warranty i don't think there will be any charge, but you will be without the unit for a while ofcourse...

Thank you all for the support.
I love this forum ❤
But i explained really well my situation in many posts in the last 10 pages, you can find often 1-2 of my messages per page 😂
Check it out, i reply to what i didn't say : i have it since one year and it always worked well, even with broken glass inside (used for months)!
I'm having this issue in the last couple of months or a little bit less, and my coils are perfectly aligned, so the answer should be in the right quantity of foil or what @Kaptan just said (by the way, how to bend the plate that it's very close to wood? It's very minimum bending..).
P. S.
Never used tape to open /close it, but from what i understand, this shouldn't be essential.. Right?

You should also be mindful of the fact that you've been told to send it back many times over those pages. Just send the fucker back! They want you to pay to repair because the heater glass isn't covered for accidental damage. If the heater isn't properly installed in the glass that could well explain the inconsistencies as the coil wobbles around its enclosure.

Well i did try to read thru your posts and i guess it's up to you to decide how to continue.
I see two options:
1- you could keep trying (even try the recalibration if you feel like it) you never know i guess... Might work..

2- like @Cheebsy said: send the fucker back in for repair.
I would choose that option tbh, i mean you have been trying for a while now with little success... That sure is frustrating... Sending it in is annoying too but the longer you wait the longer it'll take i guess. The turnaround for repairs seems to be pretty fast so in a way you could have gotten it back by now if you had send it in when the problems started...
Whatever you decide i hope you'll get it fixed soon!

Good luck anyhow!!

It is very close to the wood and it needs to make good contact with the top plate when it is installed - this is why I am recommending to slightly bend the metal so it makes better contact with the top plate. Doing this essentially negates the use of foil. Also, don’t recalibrate as it’s not the intended fix for your issue.

All who wander are not lost...
Send that poor soldier in for a well-needed tune-up! You'll kick yourself for waiting this long once you have it back in 100% working condition again! Good luck!
Amen. When I sent my OG TM in for repair in Sept ‘22 when I fried the board by putting the battery in the wrong way (first and only time) it came back working like new. It took 3 weeks to get it back (I’m in the northeast U.S.). A perfect tune-up. Yes it was my fault and I paid for the repair but it was so worth it. In Tinymight I trust!

BTW, I have disassembled my TM several times before the RMA for various reasons including putting a shim under the top plate (which worked). :peace:

Now i can say it: MISSION FAILED!
I tried in so many ways between yesterday and today, that now i decided to ship it back in 10 days and stay like s month without it.
I ll have to smoke, but then i ll vaporize again forever.
I m a bit sad because i felt i was almost close to fix it (as sometimes it worked), but if with more /less foil or without foil and bending the metal plate it still don't work, I have no more idea and imagine you too.
Thank you anyway

Better you dont smoke.
U can decarboxylate your stuff in the oven and just eat it!
And also, ich think it wont take them too long for repairing. Did not take them to long in mine case with the same issue...

Can't sleep right now. It's 3:30 am and I'm waiting for the DHL delivery guy. My mighty just don't get the job done.

Two days ago I send both of my TM OGs to Finland because of bad performance... They offered 2x 150€ discount for a TM2.

A no brainer! I added a 18mm wpa and paid with shipping ~90 euros.

I had a really nice conversation with them and asked if my upcoming device will have all recent updates (button and inner metal liner), they said YES.

Then I told them about all my tm1 spare parts I won't have use for anymore (some glass liner and a ss-metal sleeve). I was told to add them to my shipping and got one stem of my choice. I asked for their new 20 ball stems and some spare balls. Really nice offer from them.

So tm2, 18mm wpa, 20 glass balls stem, spare balls, express shipping = 90 €

Now you understand why I can't sleep?

Last but not least:
I flirted with them about the upcoming purple heart. Seems to start in March.... This will be my new number two!

Great customer service, as usual!

OK, so it is my turn to ask for help.

My mate broke her vape so I let her use my TM2 while her replacement was arriving. After a week and a half of her using it, she told me that she though it was not hitting as hard. I tried it yesterday and indeed it is not. It is still hitting, but even at 8 or 9 the high is very low, I've tried different strains, good quality ones, with all same results. She says she did not drop it or anything, just that it stop working strong.

Nothing seems broken or dented, nothing sounds broken inside. What can be causing this?

I am thinking on opening and taking a look to see if anything looks broken, also trying to recalibrate, before the last solution of sending it back to Finland. But would like to hear any advice or experience of people here before I do it.

Did you try a different battery?

It's essential to have a backup...a vapcap solves that! It's different from when the shrouds ran out! ...more than 8 years since the last time I lit a cigarette or joint:rockon:Thanks FC
Well, now i m in Thailand, what's easy to find? I check on Shein app but vapcap is not available (only on shopee). Any other simple tool easy to find in this area or by shipping post?
Thanks

Yes, it happens with all three batteries that I usually use. Plus, I have a xtar charger that tells me the impedance of the batteries and they all seem yo have good health.
How old are the batteries?
The TM2 can be fairly punishing to its battery. It could be worth trying a fresh cell...

How are the clouds?

One thing I've noticed with mine just recently is that occassionally I won't get any vapour, I'll check the chamber (see that it's still green or light) and run it again on the same dial setting and get a big cloud.
I'm wondering if it is suffering from fatigue, it has had 15 months of relentless use. This is when I would normally run into an issue with a device of this nature, thousands of run cycles is a hard test.

I thought I might get the purple heart model and be able to compare.
This walnut one is still working like a champ but good things don't last forever.

Actually I thought it might have been over the other day - I sent the TM2 flying into my passenger door from my passenger seat it was sitting loose on. Made a pretty bad sound. Seems to be okay, but I thought for sure some glass must have cracked. Maybe?
Working great tonight with a glass mouthpiece from TRWW though, no real issue it seems, besides the rare no vapour observation
Good tool for the job ultimately, so happy with it
