@khelek41girl hows the vapor potency compare between the TetraX and the tinymight?
Also have you abandoned the idea of a fully wooden stem?
I think a metal tube (right?) would get much hotter compared to a glass tube.
I would say that honestly, the TetraX had the better flavor, but overall potency is about the same. They are both extremely powerful and produce excellent vapor, but where the TetraX wins in flavor and even roasting, the TM wins in every other aspect.
I have taken to using a basket screen to trap the herb in between the cooling unit and the
bottom of the stem. Loading directly against the cooling unit and pressing into place was causing to much draw restriction. I like to draw directly into the lungs, instead of puffing like a cigar. Keeping the
load loose allows nice long draws with little drag.
But, reading the thread, there is just way too much tech talk about the power supply, wattage, and electronic's settings and such. It's a turn off to me. I don't want complicated in a portable or need to understand that stuff for portable, or really even a desktop. Makes me think the unit is not simple to use, which for a portable, IMO, is the most important requirement. Also the more awkward size made me think it was more a battery powered desktop. My cloud Evo with an extension cord fills that vapes roll in the line up for me, probably much better in terms of clouds, etc.
Hm can you share a picture or more detail on what the setup is exactly? Sounds like I might have to do this to mine as well... Thanks bud!
Not that this is the place for it, but I think you have a misrepresentation of the Tetra P80, there is no power supply (? like there's an aftermarket accessory to turn it into a desktop instead of a battery portable, but people don't talk about it much and it's hardly necessary) and nothing about wattage or any electronic settings you need to touch... It indeed arrives ready-to-use out of the box and is quite simple honestly... There are other vapes that use mods where you may have to configure stuff (but even those don't really require configuration and tend to be simpler than they seem in my experience). As far as "awkward size" goes, I think the size and portability is actually pretty close despite their shapes... I will be able to compare them directly soon enough, but from what I can see they're quite comparable (though the TM does seem more sleek -- and I do also like a dial, sure that is going to be simpler than a screen with full temp control, but not necessarily easier to use imo). That also kind of sounded like a joke if you are comparing Tubo to a Cloud Evo with an extension cord, it is far more portable (and potentially capable) than that! If anything, the tetra heater is more like the cloud evo combined with the tinymight, offering digital control and extra optional features... but I digress!
I haven't used this vaporizer, and you're probably right. It looks like a great vaporizer.
My only point was that it doesn't look pocketable as tinymight, the thread--and I only skimmed it--is a bit techy for me, and for $230-$300 a cloud Evo hits all of the boxes it does, plus probably better performance because plug in.
Put another way, if I could have two of three: evo, tetra80, or tinymight--based on what I can tell, i'd rather have tiny might for portable and evo for home use. The tetra80 and other lemart vapes dont seem pocketable, and if their not, a Evo rips at home.
I might buy a tetra80 and fall on love though. I almost bought a few days ago. I'm just giving my reasons for holding back...
Also, the more I use vapes, the less i want digital. Just preference. A simple knob is quick and easy.
I got it, but it's a lot of speculation and totally off topic... I get that it justifies why you didn't want to buy one and why you are sharing it here, but your perspective seems a bit limited to me... Pocketability, I do not think the TM is going to be so good for this either frankly, based on my experience with many of these type of vapes... And having owned a Cloud Evo myself, I can confidently say it does not tick boxes that either of these other two portables do (or several others) at all... I agree the tinymight seems amazing and that is why I pre-ordered as well, but I think comparing vapes you haven't used is just misleading (and again not meant to be done in this thread). I can appreciate your pov though!
The only downside to your pocket for a tiny might is the glass stem. But that can be carried separately.
I had a Tubo Evic and the tetra 80 is a bigger version
I still don't understand who makes this vaporizer and would really like some clarifications regarding that.
I hear ya, but its definitely relevant and appropriate to comment on new vapes and ones we have not tried.
This is not true. The Tetra P80 is smaller than even single battery Tubo/Tetra Evic.
There are plenty of pictures in the thread to corroborate this.
Sorry for off-topic... But, If we're going to continue on with listing positive/negatives, I still think metal in the airpath is not desirable and I still don't understand who makes this vaporizer and would really like some clarifications regarding that. There was a similar vaporizer from a similar location that had notorious CS issues and I think some transparency about the facts is more pertinent than honeymooning anecdotes. Would love to see pics of the heater and some new cooling unit pics.
If you look through the earlier posts in this thread, you'll find that this topic has been discussed ad nauseum. You are free to do your own investigating and report back if you get somewhere
I ordered an RBT stem to use as a WPA when my tm gets here. Can anyone tell me what kind of screens would work with that?
If you are using the cooling unit, you wont need a screen with it. If you arent using the cooling unit, then a regular tophat screen will work
The cooling unit that comes with the tm stem fits in the RBT stem?
I still think metal in the airpath is not desirable [...]
No, not here. We frown upon comparisons between devices in threads for a specific model. A lot of recent posts have drifted in that direction. Please make a comparison thread in Ask FC and take such discussions there. Thanks for your cooperation.
That's fine, but I dont need to try a vape to point out its square with corners and not pocketable by its looks alone. I can see that from a picture. I dont need to try it to make that comparison..
In other words, why I can't I compare and discuss the Tinymights non square corner appearance to the tetra80's squared, cornered appearance?
Certainly seen pocketablity discussions in other threads....
Same with digital versus analog discussions. There is no need to try the vape to make those, and discuss those, comparisons... it's just preference and opinion. Not speculation.
