Howdy, Delphi. Fun name..... Some sort of oracle?
If I read you right you read this entire thread before asking questions (and may not in fact have any?). Super!
Welcome to the fun, now it's time to order one and really have the fun. Your timing couldn't be better, IMO, the Stainless ones are basically 'in stock' as you know......
Not sure what I did, seems it's something right....kinda wish I knew so I could do it again sometime.....
Thanks, looking forward to your contributions.

OK, who's turn is it to take Dreamer for another walk? Get to it, I'm about to post two more photos.....
A few days back Brother Pipes and I were indulging in some geek talk about PAs and stuff and I took a garden break for some Cera testing. During that reflective time, the proverbial light came on about bypassing the problematic strap as well as the switch. I suggested you could make contact with the underside of the top plate directly once inside. So:
In the background is a small power supply to run it with suitable ratings for the job. The adapter is installed in my Cera in the foreground. Over the top is the power switch (yes, it latches.....). Peeking out from under the heat shrink on the wires behind it is a red thing? That's the oft mentioned power on light (there's a power available light on the supply), IMO a must have in this application.
Inside, I indulged my Luddite nature:
I went to the hardware store this morning for a wood dowel (all organic), I figure it's about time to use something funky and natural? There's a coil spring around the outside of it retained by a copper pin with one wire soldered to it. In the center is a brass screw with a spring behind it in a well drilled in the end. A felxable wire lead comes out an angled hole in the bottom connecting to the other wire in the cord. The Flintstone Strain Relief (FSR) on the cord is easy to see.
So, once in place again held by my last recovered end cap (notice the dark color? Had to torch the failed switch out of this one too....) this time with a nylon washer since no connection is made. Both spring are held in contact, one with the plate, the other with the center pin on the cart when it's there. This means it'll work in a Cera with nothing but a body tube and screw plate (switch, battery, side strap not withstanding).
I want to fiddle with it a bit, then do some serious testing?
Someone please go get Dreamer? Stay with her until she's recovered?
Thanks guys (and gals) hope everyone else is enjoying the day as well. Time to go check out the garden again I think....work, work ,work.
