Okay so I finally got my Cera. Man it feels good to just finally say that. This will be an honest quick review with some rundowns on what I may have encountered with this device.
This vaporizer works as intended assuming you are aware of how most portable vaporizers work. I had a hard time at first trying this but eventually i got the technique down during the first run. I ordered the LL cart and the EO cart so I'll just begin with the herbs. This cart seemed a little small at first but due to my promise that I made to myself this will help me cut down quite a bit. You have to also understand that if this is your very first vaporizer, you will have to take some time getting used to what you're consuming in order to feel the effects which is rather a lot different than smoking herbs which requires combustion.
I packed the cart fairly tight just like one of the members here have said to do before. I had bought 3 2250 mah unprotected panasonic batteries before hand (discontinued but was about $9 bucks each for one.) I also used the 2900 battery that came with the Cera package as well and noticed it's a ORBTRONIC 2900 protected button top battery. Now with the first sesh, it was hard to get any vapor at first but then gave a little bit more of a pull like hitting a bong gave me some real nice dense cloud instantaneously. Also, the mouthpiece does get really hot after 2-3 hits. I don't know if it's because of the duration of inhale or is it because the battery is always connected if you don't put the safety pin in (which requires you to unscrew the bottom switch and stick it through.) I don't favor this because it just takes extra time to do so in a stealth POV I'd like to say it's gonna take some time getting used to taking this out. It gets really hot above the 3 pin-sized holes extending to the mouthpiece so you've got to take breaks in between if you're sharing to let the ceramic cool down. Which is fine with me but for some people who are looking to get ripped from this product you're looking at a HOT product that needs users to take their time to consume their herbs. I can tell you that I got high after 3-6 inhales. The air resistance is close to none so pull as hard as you want but if it's not preheated then you're gonna end up firing up the battery again once you realized you didn't get anything from cold start. TBH, this is a great vaporizer but it has it's disadvantages as well as most portable vaporizers nowadays still do (one example is the PAX vaporizer's mouthpiece unable to reposition itself inside the casing without trying more than once to do so.)
ABV is not consistent and I have problems producing that evenly browned ABV but I guess it's due to how well you can master the technique of inhalation through the Cera. Probably I'm inhaling at a quick speed so whatever is closer to the core will be vaped first before the warm air can start to produce vapors from the top of the bowl. This is not a bad thing as well because some people who are experienced with vapes would know that a little stirring would help produce evenly tasty vapors. If you do stir, try to buy some mini stainless steel screens that will fit the inlet holes in the bowl. If you don't have time or can't find any, then you're gonna want to pour it out and mix a bit then put it back in. That's just me though, I can't say that it will taste as great if you don't stir it a bit but for sure the airflow of the device goes upwards so I'd chose to stir just so it tastes good through the whole bowl and that'll save me money re-upping again next time.
Surely the positive thing is that the Cera works with a few perks you gotta get used to. I don't like having to deal with not being able to just push the safety pin right in the hole. It just won't go through without the need of unscrewing the bottom switch off first so that the battery can come out and allow the passage for the pin itself. I also don't favor the fact that if you don't remember to put the pin in after a session, you'll most likely have a long wait time for the Cera to cool down but I read somewhere around here that some member got a electronic insulator case which cools the inside and seems like it could fit the Cera's body well. I don't recommend that case for EO cart users though. The oil inside the cartridge will be risked spilling through the mouthpiece and that's just a hassle to clean something that sticky all the time. That being said, it is essential to have your Cera in a vertical position if being brought with in times of travel (don't put the cera lying horizontally in the car either after a quick session either.) I think the cool thing about this vaporizer is the ability to clean it instead of buying cartridges, tanks, or stuff like that because it clearly doesn't save you the money in the end. With the Cera you have that privilege to get it cleaned easily by using ISO to wipe down the LL cart or boil/torch the EO cart to just clear out all the excess oils you had going in there.
Now the EO cart is a virtue. I say that because you will be surprised at how well this stuff really works. Besides the fact that it still gets hot rather quickly in the LL cart, you don't really get that much heat from the EO cart because the oils are vaporized much quicker than herb. You still gotta preheat the cart so I suggest watching it at first so that you can see the whole action take place. You wanna soak the wafer at the bottom but also have the sides sticky with some if you could. I have some Blue Jack wax and it's so tasty but got me coughing in a matter of seconds. I don't think you should hit it slow either. For some reason, it's better to just inhale as fast as you would like but not as slow because you wouldn't intake most of the vapor thats producing from the white wafer down under the bowl. Man and I can tell you one thing before the Blue Jack was put in, I tried some budder in here and it seems to me that you can now truly figure out if someone purged their oils or waxes right or not. I love this about it because now you have a quality product that can spot the difference between varieties of waxes and other essential oils. The mouthpiece from the inside will get sticky a bit but again nothing ISO does the trick once you decide to wipe it off. If you ever stop by a Walmart or Target go get some 91% bottles if you could.
I like the fact that this product works well at first hand. Even with some of it's disadvantages, it is definitely a sacrifice so I would say that this product is truly for those who want a real vaping experience without the hassle of spending more money on rebuilding carts or maintenance. I wish that T.E.T would somewhere along the line create an instructions booklet so that their customers would have an easier understanding of properly using the device. I would still like to point out that you don't want to get batteries that are not safely recommended because this product does get HOT rather quickly and can burn or hurt others if not handled properly. Another thing that boggles my mind is that T.E.T said batteries were short (at the time I assumed they have some nice special batteries coming through) but turns out to be from orbtronics and this is what I found.

I mean you could get two for the price you paid at T.E.T. just saying!
I would like to also mention that 2250 batteries will definitely be a nice addition to LL cart users because they have a faster warm-up time than that of the 2900 batteries that T.E.T. provides. That is if you're willing to sacrifice battery life over warm-up time. EO cart users will surely benefit from both so it doesn't matter. If there is any advice I'd give out before I end my review is to stay put because you're waiting for a nice treat just as I did! I know that there will be some modifications to the safety pin which has already been done but I want to see a flushed up/down switch than can also act as a thermal sleeve as well. I do think a latching switch is vital to have with any of the carts because nobody wants to stick their fingers through the bottom. It's just not comfortable to do so everytime but I guess you'll forget once you're stoned but that also brings up my awareness about the battery still having connections to the cart even if not used the mouthpiece and body above the 3 pinholes will get hot on its own because of direct contact with the cart. The safety pins has its advantages though. It can help save battery time so you wouldn't have to charge too often. But definitely not appealing to unscrew the bottom every time you want to stick the pin back in. Now I'm off to start another session and let's see how we do on my second try. Be back later!
