If you ever decide to have these for sale let us know, I would gladly take one pequia.
I would do it but they are not perfect and i can’t do all the process by my own. (For example, the pequia one would be harder to do cause its density…)

These are all so nice! Are you still just doing these with a drill? I wish I could help with the mystery wood type.
Thanks! Yes I do! No dremel, no lathe  maybe one day i will get a mini lathe to make stems. It is funny and interesting (and i saw some interesting techniques, like the marquetry).

Any tips for setting screen depth without the tool? I stupidly misplaced the C shaped tool upon the V2s arrival. Its been a hectic last 30 days with the wife in the hospital. Things are slowly returning to normal now that shes home though.
If only I could locate that dang tool!
I think i got it into 2nd screen position with an S&B brush. Any tips would be appreciated!

Also, having trouble unscrewing the ball retaining screen. But I think that is more of having the incorrect screw driver for the job as well as bad arthritis. Im determined to get some ruby and quartz in there though.
Ill be searching for some eye glasses repair screwdrivers. I tried the MH reload screwdriver and tool that came with the V1. I might not have been applying enough pressure looking back.

Apologies for the rant

I’ve just been putting my thumb on the mark and using it like that. Also for the ball retaining screen I used the v1 tool and that worked well.

I've been setting mine like I did with my Dynavap tips (before the reloads came along), I use something from the top, in my case a little steel scoop which has a flat bottom, your brush will do though, and something like a Dynavap condenser from the bottom to almost hold the screen between them, then move the bowl and feel/listen for it clicking in place.
It's awkward but works.
Definitely looking forward to getting this tool set.

I hope your wife is doing better, I remember you mentioning this before, glad she's back home.

I used the reload screwdriver. I was a bit worried too but you just need to give a firm anticlockwise twist and it will open up.

3mm rubies are so good in the T2, especially for big bong rips 🫠

How do the ruby's compare to zirc?

I prefer them for the smaller bowl settings. I do think the zirc are the best for clearing the full bowl setting without having to go up to a really high temperature on the wand.

Am I right in thinking that because the wood sleeves are stabilised, we won't need to wax them etc?

What's the best way to clean burnt gunk off the cap?

I think the Tempest did it's job too well last night. My stoned ass must have forgotten to screw the cap to the tip. When I pulled it out of the wand, the cap fell onto my comforter. Surprisingly the comforter survived, but the cap is a mess. There is even gunk on the VI sticking it in the middle.

Is there a decent way to clean the cap without scratching it all up?

Thanks!

Gonchin,
Loving my newly arrived T2! Ran an embarrassing amount of material through it last night, beautiful and fun!!

My experience so far is I’m clearing a full-bowl setting bowl in about 4 hits.

They’re lovely, effortless hits, and the material is evenly cooked.

My question is this: during the wait to get mine, I was seeing videos of folks pulling way more hits out of a bowl than 4.

Can’t complain at all, I’m getting a great experience, but if there’s something I could tweak to be pulling more hits out of a bowl, that would be fun.

I’ve kind of dabbled with everything so far between 500-800f and lots of different heights on the wand adapter.

If I remember correctly, some of those videos with loads of hits were using hash and flower. The hash can go for ages.

I also find slightly more humid material gives off much more vapor.

Silly question I'm sure, but you do have it set to full bowl?

I had a couple of melted fibers from who knows where and I just used really fine grit, think I used 3000 or something. won't be a quick job though. Maybe there's an easier way but mine came out better then before but then again it was only a couple of fibers

Or you could try torching the whole thing

How do you manage to put 44 x 3mm balls in the T2 chamber? I can barely fit 39. Looks like I am missing something..
They didn't stay I had to drop down to 42 in the Tv2 as the screen popped out (kind of expected it). Even getting them in the first time was a challenge I will not try to repeat as I mentioned it took placing them perfectly to start.

Zirc balls are better for mouth to lung, but I prefer rubies for direct lung and bong usage. You get dense vapour more quickly and they can take a lot of heat so it's hard to combust. I also get a very even roast practically every time I use them

Thank you all for the knowledge and explaining your process of setting the screen. It is beyond appreciated. I keep driving myself NUTTY, my buddies. By going to my vaping desk and looking around like where did I put you little c shaped tool?
I know your around here somewhere.
Show THYSELF! Then I'll end up hitting the T2 and think about what I "need" to order from MH so I have an excuse to grab a c shaped tool, hah.

Hopefully I can get away with putting an order in for some balls or screens in an order and grab another tool without pissing the Mrs off too much ;)

I put an order in for some wood sleeves but didnt notice I was missing the tool until a day after the sleeves shipped.
First world problems over here. Im actually really happy. Things could be so much worse in the grand scheme of life. Perspective truly is key :o

@HaggisHunter
Thank you for the kind words about the wife. You and me both! I missed that lady more than words can describe.

Thank you all for the inspiration and motivation to keep on trying until im able to get these screens and balls where I would like them. I am determined to get some ruby in there today! Failure is not an option :myday:

Ahhh, that would explain it. Off to get some hash then maybe ;)

Yeah, definitely rolling full bowl. With my tolerance the smaller sizes are cool, but just not quite enough.

Thanks a lot. I did end up using a torch to burn most of it off. What I though was fabric from the comforter really ended up being melted plastic from the wand. I had to use an exacto blade to scrape off the Vi since Brenyo has mentioned that it can't take a lot of heat.

Does anyone know what material the induction sleeve and other head bits are made of?

I think it's the spring thing that can't take too much heat, I think the green visual indicator itself is made of titanium. I could be wrong though

Well, If someone is able to confirm the material, I will go ahead and hit it with a torch as well. I scraped most of the melted plastic off, but I didn't want to scratch it up a bunch so I left a couple stubborn spots.

I also didn't realize it was plastic I was dealing with until after I got if all back together and ran a heat cycle to test the Vi action. That's when I saw the melted spots on the wand.

I want to polish up the end a bit more. I've been searching for the construction materials so I can research methods with no luck. I could have sworn I saw if here, but it's not popping up in my searches.

Indicator is titanium, cap and sleeve are stainless steel.
Avoid hitting the coil and discs with the torch.

Best of luck, doesn't sound like that's been much fun..

You can use a cloth and some mothers mag, barkeepers friend, stuff like that for polishing the metalwork, or you could also use a cape cod polishing cloth if you want a quick polish. All of those would need a good clean to get rid of if any residues from the polish.

I use micro mesh as well, but if I'm using that I use multiple grades to get a better finish, it's also really time consuming.
