I was thinking that as soon as it went on. It looks rad. The plain ti, black wooden sleeve will look dope!I love how the black wood matches the induction sleeve and indicator housing.
Yeah, they went up for sale the other day I think. The wooden sleeve sale started already? VDN still doesnt have anything up![]()
Hmm they do look pretty nice, bet they feel great, will certainly pick one up at some point. Have to ask what happened to your cap?!I had a delivery today, a little unexpected I might add.
I can't wait to get my T1 running again, I damaged the titanium cap while being a little ham fisted, pretty unusual for me.
These wooden sleeves are fantastic. Great feel to them, very comfortable in use, zero sense of any heat at all coming through. I can see me using these more than the titanium shield I think.
Thank you @Brenyo
And thanks for the plain indicator, I had a giggle when I saw that

Aw I somehow managed to damage the threading on the inner ti cap, so couldn't screw the steel housing and sleeve back on.Have to ask what happened to your cap?!
My money would be on Borosilicate, I got some for free with my order too.Can the rubies be cleaned like the zirc balls? I think they are getting darker when torched. I think I have to try them again.
Also I got some glass balls with my order. Not sure if they are quartz or boro...
The wood sleeves remind of high quality carved marble chess pieces for some reason. Really nice. Which is your favourite?I had a delivery today, a little unexpected I might add.

Yessir. Green is on the way for me.The wooden sleeve sale started already? VDN still doesnt have anything up![]()
I received my first Tempest in November 2023. The parts to fix things like non-ISO safe o rings as well as sleeve upgrades, coil/spring upgrades, etc were sent to the early adopters later on for a discounted price IIRC (~6mo I wanna say?). Those upgrades that we got the parts for were included by default on the Tempests moving forward after that so I get your argument but I feel he really already did this appropriately, just maybe not in the way you feel it should be.Looking at other vapes, around a 2 year cycle seems fine to me. Anything under a year and imo the vape should just have stayed in development longer. Atleast if it is not about a new technology we did not have before (which is not the case here).
But I won't make the claim that that is an objective truth, this honestly is just my opinion and I am perfectly fine with other people not agreeing with it.
If 3mm I'd say the new quartz. Also I got some glass balls with my order. Not sure if they are quartz or boro...
Hmm, I think the black, it's a really striking look and goes well with the purple. Can't wait to get a green one though. That'll go well with the purple.Which is your favourite?
I question what were're talking about, and you say you don't see my point?I don't really see your point.
Castle? The wood sleeves remind of high quality carved marble chess pieces for some reason.
I talked about the tempest v1 upgrade kit which is the official name by mad heaters and which I linkedI question what were're talking about, and you say you don't see my point?
I'm not sure how much more simply I could express it! But if you meant my previous point, then I'd have to give the same response.
Everything you said up to then, and everything in that last reply, in the context of my reply, depends 100% on what the exact subject is which is what I last asked you to confirm. Is evidence free discourse your thing? Which is fine if so, I just can't see the point in it myself so I won't bother.
If not, then (again) what exactly are you talking about when you say 'upgrade kit'?
Castle?
Thank you!I talked about the tempest v1 upgrade kit which is the official name by mad heaters and which I linked

The upgrade kit that came out when the tempest was released was called tempest beta upgrade kit afaik as one can see in post #5176 on page 208.
No. I talked about the v1 upgrade kit. The one I just linked. It's to upgrade the v1. It will start being sold this month or next month.Thank you!
So, this is the kit that was put out for beta testers so they could upgrade, and was at a discounted rate for anyone who had bought a beta Tempest, yes?
So what's the problem? @Brenyo puts out everything needed to jack the beta up to the same standard as the release, and does it cheaper than the separate parts. You're saying it's been out for ages, but that was a pre-release version, and part of the idea is to give it about as good a test as possible, while giving a bunch of fans the chance to see what the fuss is all about rather earlier than everyone else. Where's the hurt, I'm not seeing it at all?
That's looks rad! Nice choice!
I think you need to put the link with the image widget (insert image, ctrl+p)Ok I was working a bit more on the mahogany shield, tried to do an experiment with a beech one and polish and adjust an american walnut one to do something similar to the mahogany one (i will do the same with the pequia one):

(Does anyone knows how to make imgur shows the images? I cant show anything since some time ago)
They are not perfect. Im just a rookie without lathejust with a normal electric drill to rotate the shield
Those official shields looks great!@kokolokokolokon , the Imgur link won't connect for me, but I'd love to see these. Can't believe you made the last one's without a lathe! Very impressive.
Those official shields looks great!
Now i realize the walnut one wasn’t uploaded and the imgur link was public

Thanks! Not the best result (about the design). That holes were make with a drill bit which has a spike, with a sanding stick and a dremel tool without dremelI really like the radiator fin holes on the first one. Amazing job considering you don't have a lathe.
