Believe me I'm happy to see your vision and ingenuity come to fruition and I was also proud to take part in the first batch of the pre-release Tempest orders in October of 2023, but I would be lying if I said I'm happy to see the second iteration of the Tempest I ordered is apparently completely sourced, manufactured, assembled and packaged in China. Hard for me to believe that this couldn't have been done within the UK or EU itself and support those manufactures and economies instead of China. If the answer is strictly cost related then I admit I prefer support to companies like Simrell that charge a bit more but source and manufacture what they make in the country that they actually exist in. But hey, that's just me.

As Bob Marley sings
rock it baby, rock it baby, tonight
Enjoy your weekend, don't stress about something is out your reach or control.

Is that a TA4? If so, mind if I reach out separately for some questions?
Also wish I got a 2nd tempest head and cooling unit…
Hoping to god no issues for US.

I would recommend a quad flame torch :D but i like small torchs with good tank and stone instead of click and it is hard to find simething like that :uhoh:

So I had something delivered this morning....

Brenyo you were definitely right. It looks even better in person 😉

Is this the first picture of the CU?

I've only had time to clean it, but this thing is stunning. A couple of observations, the cap screw thread feels really nice. Twists on and off with a quick turn

I ran a quick heat cycle with an empty bowl, and it stayed hot for a long time.

I can't wait to test it later

the manual says "We recommend using a triple, dual or medium size single-flame torch.". does that mean, my wand is not the best oprion and i should go back to torches? can any of those lucky people, wo already got their t2 test it with the wand?

It includes a newly designed wand stand and adapter. Probably do not want to add a different brand device recommendation in the manual.

The new wand adapter looks horrendous. The only benefit over the old one seems to be it not being able to break but not sure if I will use it...

If God is the answer, then the question is wrong
@Brenyo I am not sure but I recall you speaking about a kit to upgrade tempest 1 head to tempest 2 head
Is this still a thing? When? How much?

Im gonna stick with the v1 wand adapter. I love it. Works with my dynas, tornado, and anvil.

I do the tabletopbong rec for those and flip it upside down with the silicone in place. Then i move the wand stand further down and it creates a balanced horizontal wand position. Perfect for tornado and anvil. You can adjust the depth as usual too.

Ill keep the v2 as a backup adapter. I see the vision, just not very elegant. Major 3-D print vibes. Could use better filament.

I moved 98 messages about shipping and tariffs to the Mad Heaters Shipping thread:

Please keep this thread focused on device discussion and feel free to use the other to discuss shipping and related issues. Thanks!

June, £35 (UK)

Compare the performance difference first :)
It's not the filament, but an issue with the odd shape of the design and lack of some slicer features. Happy to improve it if someone has a better idea for the shape / design. The adapter is not really visible on the desk, it's below the wand and looks fine from the sides.
