I found out I can order new "snap disks". I'm going to order two pairs and hope for the best. Seems there's variations in when they cool down

I don't think new ones would be any different..? Something is off with the cooldown calibration..

Initial heat up from cold first click/second click is tuned pretty good for a decent go of 3-5 nice (not roasty) hits assuming you stop right at 2nd loudest click. Then when placed on the Reload magnet 1st (light) cooldown click happens around 2 minutes after.. 2nd louder cooldown click is about 5 minutes after (if you respected the 2nd click exactly) these times are longer if you overheated the Tempest to push it (roasty) first go from cold. If you want to reheat right after the first nice 4 or 5 hits.. use the visual indicator and bring it to about the 2nd mark then hit.

Hopefully he comes out with some updated clickers.. It's my only gripe with the tempest but the indicator is a good workaround for second go in the meantime.

On average, those will click back in 1 minute. If it would be even quicker it would click too early.

Is there a good way to clean the VI without disassembling it? I've seen it disassembled and don't see one. Maybe enough heat and soaking with shaking?
I'm starting to literally hear my indicator while it is moving, making me think that with enough time without cleaning, friction might build from the oils that managed to slip in through the holes.
Am I exaggerating with my conclusion and will friction never be enough to impair the functioning of the VI?

[General Disaster]

I'd expect soaking it in iso, and occasionally removing it and manually pushing the indicator to it's limits of movement to allow the iso to work it's way into the areas where the spring may trap accumulated reclaim. Using something like a test tube to soak it in, also allows you to use a mug of boiled water to safely warm the tube which makes it better at dissolving the crud (but watch for pressure build up - release the stopper carefully if there is one). There are better solvents than iso, but nothing as relatively safe as iso, especially in terms of toxicity.

Personally, I never heat my 'pest in a vertical head-down fashion, only horizontally in the Wand (with it on it's side, which the updated Wand stand allows), or upright (head upwards) if torching.
This seems to have avoided any build-up of crap; daily use most days and in 10 months I've not cleaned the head and not needed to either.

(To be fair I'm somewhat fastidious, if not obsessional about how carefully I use the 'pest in terms of avoiding weed coming out of the bowl, and avoiding vapour build-up in the VI housing, etc etc. Others may prefer to be more sloppy and just clean more frequently instead).

I'd recommend something like this for water, small and simple:

6 inch tall Water piece featuring a 10mm hand made female joint and a 2 hole perc.

I'm not that experienced with bubblers et al, but can highly recommend RecVapS's Chugga-Jug v2.
Very solidly made, hard to knock over, works well with no water, or a large range of water (in quantity), and just generally really well thought out to be as flexible as possible (e.g. the mouthpiece will also take a 19mm whip (or 14mm option)). It sits very steadily on a flat surface but is also well shaped to easily hold in your hand. If the aesthetics appeal (and ordering from UK is not an issue) it's worth reading Matt's notes, as he was very involved in it's design and gives a lot of interesting details. Very much form following function but still looks good:

You'd probably be better off having a look over in one of the glass threads. There will be a lot more options there and descriptions of glass pieces that people like. Since I'm already posting here, I will give you my recommendation. In general, a comprehensive overview of what changes through the different settings would be great. The manual on the website lists the mechanical changes but doesn't really talk about how these relate to the changes in the vaping experience.

I would suggest you to heat it until the fisrt line of the VI or between the fisrt and the second one.
And about the airflow (of the head)…it depends on the kind of hit you want, more open or more close. You can start at middle point.
And, for sipping, i recommend a direct airflow on the stem, since you won’t need a lot of cooling
