I've got 978#, so I'm hoping for good news soon!
Keeping my fingers crossed that you receive some good news here soon! I don't want to hijack the thread or discussion. But I wanted to let the Tempest gang know that there is some light at the end of the tunnel on the USA orders. Don't lose hope. Especially with @Brenyo being THE man behind the scenes working his black magic, as he always seems to be doing. Dude is straight up mythical in my book. Like a unicorn among men. If there was a Yelp reviews for people, @Brenyo would get five stars with a 'would definitely hangout and love to sesh with' badge
Oh shoot!! I was braced for having to cancel the order. I'm quite a few orders past yours, but now there's hope, maybe?
That's totally understandable. I'm beyond glad there's still a glimmer of hope. Fingers crossed and praying to the terp gods it all works out . I'm rooting for things to line up smoothly on your end!
Oh man this gives me so much hope. I didn't want to bring it up again and ruin the conversion lol. I've been checking this thread, refreshing my email, and just scouring the internet in general looking for tariff updates to try and get information. Any idea if he shipped it USPS? That's the best bet right now. Seems like they're not even charging tariffs because they don't have the capability to but the other carriers are charging 145% and sending bills after the packages are delivered
Haha, I totally get that. No worries at all, I've been doing the same deep dive detective work trying to make heads or tails of the situation. You're definitely not alone in this. I think there's a good chance it was sent via USPS, which would be amazing if that means dodging the crazy tariffs. Let's hope thats the case and it slides through smoothly!

I'm down to be a mail-order guinea pig at this point in time. If it survives the journey and doesn't explode, it's probably good to go. We all know @Brenyo packages are the bomb though.. The only thing I plan on blowing up is my lungs upon the T2s arrival

You absolutely should get a Wand. Tempest 1 & 2 work amazingly with it.
I have to piggy back off @RedZep reply and say definitely grab a wand at your earliest convenience. The ease of use and convenience of dropping the Tempest into the wand, hitting two buttons and letting the wand time out with repeatable and consistent results is just chefs kiss. It's like pairing the Tempest with a Reload. Yeah, you don't need the Reload. But damn do they (Tempest+Reload) go together like PB & J. Then you add the wand in the mix and its just a really great ecosystem with such little fuss from storing, loading, cooling, debowling, and needing less accessories should you choose to go on and adventure and not wanting to bring a torch out and would like to hit a couple buttons and get the same, if not more consistent results, every time. That's been my experience with the T1 so far. The torch is great, but I do prefer the wand I would say 90% of the time. That's just my experience with my T1s

How do I volunteer to test that out haha also I was going to ask if the tariffs go through could I combine my order with a friend and still just pay $100?
No. Tarrifs are on the cost of goods, not the number of packages. No way around it.

The fee is not collected by Brenyo, it is collected by customs who calculate based on the value of goods and require your payment on that to them before they release it into the US.

Wait doesn’t that mean it would work right? I’m trying to say I want to combine two orders and have them shipped to the same address as one order. Haha I know Brenyo doesn’t get the money I somewhat understand what tariffs are just confused on what Trump is doing right now and want to save money.

That should work up to 800 USD total.
Talks with China seem to be starting this week, hoping for some good news soon.
More stock is only expected around the end of next week, maybe there’s a solution by then.

@Brenyo Hey, I wonder if you could confirm the OD of the Tempest v2 cap for me, I know you said it was 13.8mm in this thread but I've also heard 12.75mm being quoted by one of your team. I'd be really grateful if you could let me know which is correct.
Thanks and congrats on the v2 launch, lot's of really positive feedback.

Both are correct, 12.75 at the induction sleeve and 13.8 around the bowl which is the thickest part.

Just got my V2. I definitely need a manual, for the life of me I can't work out how to change the air port settings without unscrewing the mouth piece. Is there something I'm missing or is that intentional?

I think this is intentional as my device is the same. It's the same for changing the air intakes on the head, you need to unscrew the little screw at the end of it.

Ah okay perfect. Should I be tightening the mouth piece thread hand tight or just really loose because when I tightened it to hand tight, I put a slight bend in the cooling spiral thing. I managed to straighten it out now though. I didn't use excessive force, just literally finger/hand tight

The CU is slightly bent by default, preventing it from spinning inside the tube. You should tighten the mouthpiece, otherwise the heat shield will spin when you try to unscrew the cap.

The MP also acts as a lock for the airflow settings. Unscrew until loose, select airflow setting, tighten MP to lock.

Meant to ask this earlier, mine has a noticeable curve on it, it did go back in no problem but thought I had done it by accident as well

So is everyones V2 the same, the induction sleeve can't be moved without loosening the screw? I did like the ability to change it on the fly experimenting but one was so loose it could move if you weren't careful, preferring being able to lock it tbh.
Itching to see the full manual!

The sleeve on mine feel like the V1, so it does spin without any adjustment. I wonder if you can squeeze it a little?

Edit. After reading comments above I might be wrong. I'll check later and update. And Brenyo confirmed you can't squeeze it as it's too chunky 😄

Double edit - ignore me, I'm talking bollocks. It doesn't spin. It's full open which is my preferred setting

it shouldn't be able to spin, is the indicator housing installed correctly? it has to slot into the titanium cap before you can tighten it just like on the V1, there's a big gap otherwise.
