I love how the vapcap tips become multi colored.

The one on the left was some heat treating I did with a fine torch, it looked much better than that when it was first done, the colours were much more defined, definitely one of my favourite attempts when it was first done though.
The older 5 fin tips were more pleasing to anodise than the more recent ones.

Heat treating ti is fun, you only get 3/4 colours, but the colours are striking.

The gen 2 and tempest look a bit of a state now, I look after my stuff, but it also gets used and abused so they look a bit duffed up.

I have plans to redo them further down the line once the equipment/set-up is a little better.

That one is timascus, good looking stem that, it arrived with an order I placed just before I got my early tempest.

Ty.. Haha yes that was fun tempest session hits yesterday. I found that super funny to cool smoke of preroll with MadHeaters stem.. Bwahaha.. But it definitely cooled the smoke. Normally i would be coughing hard since im not used to smoke anymore but not with MadHeaters stem preroll MOD. Lol

Yeah. I typically insert from the top. I had intended to turn the tempest insert upside down like Lee from table top bong showed on his channel. But I just had a tempest bowl and wasn’t thinking about it. Heated it for 2 cycles to dry after a fresh cleaning. And felt like my heart broke when I saw the cup cracked.

Eventually I took the silicon from the insert and I wedged it inside the wand and began using the tornado again. I will likely continue this in the future as to not risk cracking another insert.

Ordered a reload on the 29th and the tracking says it cleared customs and reached delivery depot but this "ups mail innovations" tracking hasn't updated in a week.

in my experience it has been very reliable. i've ordered some stuff from mh to the us and some stuff from mh to glass charlie in the uk. everything on their end was handled promptly minus the time zone thing. At least until I got the tracking number, international shipments can have some random delays

Ty for sharing this. I would definitely stop heating the tornado from top of my wand from now on to avoid this.. I dont normally heat it that way but sometimes I do. Since i do it from the bottom using my own diy silicone matts.

Finally got my Tempest in my hands! Snagged this back in August but was on the road and had it posted to a friend in the UK. Had it shipped to Spain without the cardboard box via DPD without insurance, which cost just over £8 and then got hit by Spanish customs mafia for €24 (cash only at the post office!) which was expected . It may be possible to avoid this by sending a flat envelope and declaring it as documents, but if they catch it they could disappear it....

I really really like it, it is the best portable i have tried and it is delivering the goods as expected! A big thumbs up for the impressive industrial design and bringing the ball vape magic to the portable domain... I love the open airflow of this and how it can finish a load with full flavour and without needing to reheat! I got the SiC balls for it because it is the best material as far as I can see. I did try the zirc balls before changing over and the SiC does seem to store more heat.

My only criticisms: a small printed guide would have been good at this price point.
The only weak points I can see are the usual o-ring issues and the ball retaining screen which will probably break if the balls need regular removal for cleaning? It is sure nice to have a spare ball screen and spare o-rings in the package but more would have been better.

I found that travelling in Asia with a non- electric vape (Fusion 2 and Dynavap backup) and relying on jet flame lighters was a mistake as only shitty single jet lighters are available in some street shops (and that takes some looking!) and butane cans are not available in some countries, so I need to add the Wand to my shopping list for the next trip....

You got a spare ball screen? Because I think I didn't.

"Regular removal" means every 300 bowls according to the online manual. That's every 2 months if you vape 5 bowls a day. I don't think that a metal screen will break from that.

Most of them had a period of a few days to a week or so where there was no updates, usually after arriving stateside, tho once it seemed to be bouncing through Scandinavia. Don't ask me, it usually seems made up anyway. As long as it comes by air I'm good. Waiting for stuff coming by ship can be excruciating.

MadHeaters Tempest Low Temp Multiple Hits Setup with Boro Balls.

This is closest thing i can come up thats similar to dynavap low temp hits.

Im tired of OHE, i just go through my stash faster. what about making the .1g bowl last longer or getting multiple hits from it=)

Excellent vapor production and efficiency with this setup. I just have to be careful with wand to stop heating to not overheat the bowl or else easy combust with this technique.

Well, the tempest largely benched all my other devices! This is the setup I'm currently using. I use the screen in the half bowl position. Even wide open the tempest is too restricted for me for a half bowl OHE. So I have been heating the head with my wand and have been taking 4-6 sips to clear the bowl. Its a very nice ritual! For microdosing I have been just covering the screen and pulling that in one hit. It is the best microdoser I currently own, at least until my vapman and zx arrive! I haven't played with amounts lower than 20mg yet but will after my tolerance reset to zero.
