This upper west side restaurant dug down into the roots of contemporary Southwest culture to choose an icon that
represents old and new world values.

While I am an old school NY "ethnic type", I lived for an adult lifetime in El Paso, Texas and Tucson, Arizona.
I've assimilated well enough. It does my heart good to see Metropolitan Folks find such a multi-faceted personification that means so much to so many. (OK... at least to me.)
