The issue is that the o-ring on your Hercules cap isn't creating a seal with the Nibbler XL. The solution is to use the thicker o-ring on the cap and then use vaseline around the ring to help make a seal. I've run into this problem many a time as have others so, you're not alone.

I have the same problem,always blinkenlights when i use the core with Kiss cards.....
i switched to batterys and v1 Top
What new features does the v4 top ?
Will it be the 8 again for sale?

I do a little bb then roll it a little so it's more snakey and lay it on the coil. I usually hit the button a little to get it melting into the wick. How many hits I get depends on what I'm using and how clean/old the coil is, some of them give me 3-4 good ones and some give me like 10+ ones. But for 3.7 I do a method someone on here talked about. 3 seconds with the button pressed, 3 off, 3 on, then 3-ish depending on vapor and whether you want to cool it. I used to do 5-6 seconds with the button on and I'm much happier this way. The wax in the cup just get's scooped up with a toothpick or something non-metal and just put it on the coil to vape.

Tx @DaNi_DuB for explaining me what was happening with the protection circuit thing. I dont understand how it works, but I think I found a solution for my persei to work with 7.4v and 3.7v flawlessly. I tried the hypothesis that this circuit didnt like voltage swings. No more voltage adjusting on the core ----> always accept my 3.7v carts for the last 3 nights with core and batteries!
any word on sr74 restock ?
last i remember reading gary had said the herc would be back around 15th i belive

Recommendation for those of us not having issues with the original button? Should we eventually swap 'em out as well? (I'll pay for shipping when you get more Nibbler XLs in)

I got my sr71 yesterday. So far I'm liking it better than my 74. Heat up times are much faster and it seems to fire all the time. I'm already using the new button assembly.
I was having problems with the sr74 bottom adapter so I ordered a 71 type of adapter, but this one still has grooves for the O rings.

Im starting to understand more the feel of vaping oils. I filled my kiss 7.4v with like 0.1g of concentrate and managed to keep the taste good and vapor smooth for a while. A first for me. I was under the impression that a filled kiss cup was easier to not over press the fire button keep getting smooth good tasting clouds. Untill I fired too long and got a huge harsh hot knives tasting cloud...
Im looking to buy a meter to gage my battery levels. I want to study how quick and what numbers pleases me.

Tx for relating. The thing is I feel I have to give that extra button push to finish whats in the bottom of my ceramic cup. The way I see it atm is I kept the hard leaning on the button for the end of the cup. Specially before I put another kind of concentrate.

@THC SCIENTIFIC --- today I decided to try batteries since the core is on the fritz a bit....( i put a ticket in recently but no reply yet -- n i just checked and do not see the ticket any longer ??? )
but today I tried my sr-74 with my v3 top / batteries ---- I pressed button -- and of course it blinked n blinked -- then it worked for a few seconds and blinked again ---
now it will not do anything but blink ??? no power going through it seems at all? it just blinks every time it is pushed --
I put it on the core and same deal blinking -- no solid button even with zero cartridge on top ?
(sounding bad ? )
i have the old hammer top n it woks -- so it must be the silver v3 top ? and unfortunately the core (which I know is the connection going into the bottom of the core top .... ) since i can only work it when I fool around with it --
suggestions my friend
or should it get sent in ?

since I use the hercules .... i didn't realize till now ..... since it takes some time to heat up rod
i am using the 3.7v herc rod --- and was when this happened -- w/blinking n all n i thought it wasn't working at all ?? a little of the opposite ?
i just tried some extra testing -- using a kiss globe coil system and to my surprise after I screwed it in it started pumping out voltage / vapor if it was loaded / getting hot --- even with the silver top off -- if I hit 5 times and turn off -- the light shows off but it keeps running off or on -- just no way to shut it off -- and the light only blinks and never will stay solid -- but if battery inside it will not stop pushing power ??

Wanted to try a 7.4v cartridge in my okeanos and it wouldn't screw all the way in. My ti2 3.7v cart has the same issue. Only the one that came with it and the my ti1 cart seem to fit. Not expecting someone to have a fix for this, just hoping. I was going to order a backup 7.4v kiss soon anyways, hopefully that one will fit. Just waiting for the boro globe glass to be in stock.

Sorry guys running around getting the last pieces of the puzzle in place so we are good to go on the 8's on Monday.
Also for repairs submit a ticket or send the items in to the address on the website under shipping and returns along with a note saying what's wrong and copies of your reciepts, along with your contact info.
