I think you mean too bad it allows some opportunities for user error, which in turn allows the user to unexpectedly burn out "lower end" (feel bad calling it that) cartidges.

The hammer top used to come with a rod (called the hammer rod) intended for use with the bender. The hammer top is what people using the herc are referring to. To answer your question tho, the hammer top has circuit protection so a hammer top + core + herc should be a perfect match.

You could have a persei for 80... ss kit and hammer top on sale... i woulda done that from scratch if i didnt have a friend. He couldnt figure out the basic cart configuration and was wondering how a standard imr couldnt power 5 ohm cart at 3.7 volts. I tried to explain, he said he was frustrated, and bam! Luckiest day of my life.

Edit: not changing anything, just wanting to add that this ghost og is making my written coherence absolute shit. Herc rules!!!!

Hammer Top is different then the Hammer Rods, the tops are just like the regular tops but stay on once pressed for 2 minutes.

Yes it does. With the 30% coupon for FC its going to be around 119 plus shipping and handling and maybe tax if your in the great state of california (might be debated if its great or not, maybe next time but not now for sure).

I just got a hammer top and I will never use another top for my herc I love it that much
I like to set my core at a low voltage say 6.7 on the 7.4 rod and I like to lay on the button for a few seconds this produces huge flavorful clouds
the biggest thing is comfort with the hammer top I don't have to jam my big thumb into that tiny little button
also a lot of the times my thumb covers the button and i don't even know if its glowing blue or not this way i don't cover the button i know when its on and when its off i have never had a problem where i left it on

i actually kept my persei in a drawer for about a year and a half because it was hard to understand
but once i got bored and decided to give it another shot I am thankful I did
once you figure out the Hercules cartridges you will use it all the time
I understand your frustration this is a tool you have to really understand how to use but when you do the rewards are huge

With the sale price ill agree, but i see no reason to buy the persei unless you intend the herc. I 'like' the other carts, but herc is what i came for. Hope g doesnt hold this against me,(and no one gets frustrated i hype it so much) but get some third party super batteries, as newer tech than the aw's exist with still safe imr chemistry. I also recommend the nitecore series chargers. So knowing that, i wouldnt recommend the kit to just anybody unless they were sure they wanted to run the gambit of devices and carts and want a headstart.

I just got my 74X upgrade with the threadless top cap am I missing an oring or does it just stick into place its a really snug fit I can see how it will easily stay in place but just curious I thought it was like the caps on the older carts

That's how it is on the SR71. It'll stick fine after you use it a few times.

im also gonna squash my coil finally im sick of it riding up
I guess im gonna do it with vise grip pliers pinched between coins its all I really have right now I hope I don't squash it too small it doesn't even want to fit in the tubes

does anyone have a technique for squashing the ti coils ?

Either of those work, i have the i4 cause i run through batteries like a mofo. Nitecore does make a digi readout charger if you wanna drop the extra. I believe itll do diagnostics but i maybe misquoting. As far as batteries, look for the lgdbhe21865s. They put pit double the amps of the aws i believe. Should be 2 for 15 or so somewhere, i bought em at a store cause i didnt wanna risk shitty fake cells online. I only run 3.7 but i assumethey would perform fine stacked. Also runnin v1 top.

...I hadn't thought of that. A million ways to do the thing I love. I'm sort of guessing I'll end up buying a persei or the new one coming up though. Eventually. I'm just super happy with my omicron lite and minicron lite with kiss carts for portable. Just grabbed a globe to try out too. I'm curious about the black wick and I want to see the coil while I use it to get my technique down too. I'm thinking of this as more of an at home desktop rig. I just see that pic of the herc dissembled on the product page and I WANT it something fierce. So pretty.....

Ah shit... theyre 18650s... i recommend the efest 18350 v2, but they are the same power as the 18650 aws. I havent used my short tube in so lomg i dont know where it is. The performance that the lg 18650s afforded made it an easy decision to look like im walking around with a long skinny boner in my jeans.

Persei top died today. V2-0338. Flashing light when I press the button with Kiss or Herc attached. The same 2 carts work on my Hammer and Double top.
