with the 74X upgrade is my retaining nut not gonna screw all the way up anymore it has a gap and the airflow washer now has room to slide up and down
before it would snug all the way up and the washer would spin but would not slide up and down

thanks @Andy it heated and fired right up the first time I assembled it so its all good just wasn't sure kinda weird cause now the AAF washer drops down on the retaining nut when the herc is upright at least until it gets sticky

My core came in. I was so excited until I opened it up and couldn't get IT to work. It powers on and allows me to adjust voltage but it does not power my persei at all. I have had the worst luck with the products from this company. I only bought the core to see if I could use it to operate my herc which hasn't worked right all. And now I can't even test that because the core won't power it. I'm at a total loss and don't what to do. On a side note I haven't received one user manual for any of the products I got. Maybe acclimation to the products would be more swift if w9 would provide just a little info.

What!! no way so the button will not even glow make sure the core tube is screwed in correctly from the bottom that's so strange ya talk about bad luck hope you get it going

When you connect the Core to the Persei flash? does it light up? what voltage are you using with the Hercules and what rod?

It doesn't light up at all when connected. I'm using the white rod and trying at 7.4 v. It's like it's not making a connection. Can I remove the silver washer that connects the tube to the top?

do this, take a small amount of tin foil, ball it up and place it in the small bowl on top of the spring, thats the part that moves up and down then screw the top back on, let me know how it goes.

I removed the silver washer and it's now works. It does not work with the washer in tact. Is it okay to run it like this? I'm gonna go hook up the herc and see if it'll get going.

My core is working but only when I remove the silver washer. With the silver washer on I am not making a connection. The hercules however is still not working right. I have a fully saturated coil sitting at the bottom of the chamber. The herc is heating but almost no vapor. I'm gonna add some more crumble and see what happens. If I can't get this going tonight I'm sending it back tomorrow.

whats happening with my core sometimes when I press the button I get nothing if I simply unplug it from the persei or power or cigarette lighter plug and plug it back in it powers the persei

what causes this because it happens completely random

This is my portable 4 on the go -- shorty 3.7 with titanium kiss -- tiny n slick 4 trips! (perfect for out n about n perfect during performances n parties --- no worry about glass breaking or anything --- n perfect taste of course ) -- n lets mention I'm ok letting new friends try the 3.7 -- since with batteries pretty rare 2 burn out the KISScart

The herc 74 -- I keep home and at studio ! Im ok with the core and the hercules becoming so very close 2 each other ! as long as they work 4 me each time n they sure do !!!!

Well, on the bright side (of my Persei top dying) I am using my Herc with a Double Top that I bought from @Sleepininca. Using it with the Core, there is no low battery voltage dead zones. Means I can run it at 6v. Hits like a freight train and I can ride the button forever.
