Hey all --- Im still getting used to all with the Persei
So far I'm super Happy n even more happy I got the core -- It is essential - !!!!! Im still waiting to make sure a dead battery is my other issue with making it 7.4v- but again the core took care of that issue
I have been enjoying the 7.4 kiss cart .. since my old 3.7 kiss burnt out a while back (cannot wait 2 rebuild & get a spare !) interesting using the 7.4 cart -- I like it -- just pulsing !
Onto an actual different question ?
I see others discussing the Hurcules 74 .. I am just opening the brand new box today … so obviously a learning curve is coming .. but I'm excited !!!!! a drop concerned about going through more oil but worth it I'm sure !
(the box came with the assembled unit and a nice tool in the box - also had 2 extra coils it appears - and then the box has one thin extra space and I was wondering if something belongs in that space ? or is it just a thin extra spot in the box in case it was needed in future ? )
Yet I ask this ? --- because I see people speaking about a 3.7v setup ? I was under the impression this was to be used as 7.4volts and honestly didn't think it was able to work well at 3.7v ? Then I went to website and I see they have a ceramic rob for 3.7 and another for 7.4 black n white .. What does the unit come shipped with ? black or white ? 7.4 or 3.7 ?
do i order the other that wasn't shipped from w9? It would be nice if both work !
again any help / advice is welcomed and I thank you ! sorry if this was brought up in another spot .. I have not found it yet in my searching .
Peace n respect my friends !!!!!!!
Both rods work with the hercules. The white, 7.4v rod comes with the hercules.
The black rod takes like 20 seconds to heat up, and it's nice to have the option to use your ss kit with one small battery, and the hercules. It will fit in your pocket, rather than poke out of the top.
If you order the black rod, I'd suggest waiting until he releases the new touch top, which will have an on/off feature, and ordering at the same time. Otherwise, if you can't wait, you should definitely get the hammer top, with the same feature. With this on/off feature, you don't have to hold the button while the black rod heats up. You just press once to turn it on, and press it again to turn it off.
The learning curve: make sure the connections are tight with the nut, and make sure the rod is connecting. Make sure the nut rests right above the white/black part of the rod. You should see one metal section, and one white/black ceramic section.
With either rod, especially the white one, make sure you take cool down hits: around 10 seconds before the end of your hit, release the button/turn off the hammer top, and continue to inhale. This will cool the oil, saving you the trouble of gather reclaimed oil that was in liquid form after your hit.
Best of luck!
