bought the hammer top as a backup head. i have been using it with the sr7437- love it!!!!
I believe that only applies to dum dums who forget to turn off the hammer top... Thats where the damage can happenI did that too, until I read the warning. "It is not recommended that you use this top for any oil cartridges as it can and will damage your cartridges. " Maybe it only applies to the standard carts and not the Herc. Can you comment @THC SCIENTIFIC ?
Back long ago when everybody was freaking out about not being able to vaporize PURE GOLD because of the leaky cart syndrome I started using the C4 cartomizers. In the beginning I was medicating with PURE GOLD then CO2 OIL. They both started to give me splitting headaches? In theory their suppose to be healthier for you? So I switched to WAX and HASH instead and now my favorite is SHATTER. I make my own concentrates these days because I control the quality. I don't know if it's me being paranoid or what? The concentrate I make don't give me a headache? Are the suppliers cutting the concentrates?@ataxian What's that yellow tank attached to your Ophos mate?
You have piqued my curiosity!
Also, I just found this:
Wow, you can put herb in the herc too? Does this work on the herc sr74 too? If so, I can happily justify paying for a persei and herc if I can do this
I am not familiar with his teal unit. The one I sold him awhile ago was a v1 or v2 double top silver. I forget which. Though I am leaning towards it being a v2. Either way, mine didn't fry it was his new one.@Sleepin in CA are those V2 heads he has?

@canj00digit? Sorry man, it really sucks especially due to the shipping! At least you have a backup right?
=)
@Iplaydoctor
1. Will the top on my unit have any problems with either the SR71 or the SR74
As long as you assemble correclly, no. If you go with the sr74 it is nearly foolproof. In any case, should the worst happen, w9tech stands behind their products.
2. Aside from ease of assembly, are there any other options that make the 74 a better purchase?
It is less likely to have user error as a factor.
3. The 71 has more power potential/wattage (correct?), does this make it the more capable hercules model due to a greater usage potential/performance (maybe for hash or flower?)
In my opinion the sr71 is a better device IF you are technically minded. If you want to plug and play then the sr74 is where its at. There is also less of a learning curve with the 74.
4. Considering the 71 is the older (outdated) model, why is it 30 bucks more expensive (as seen on planet vape)? It seems like a lot of the guys on here with more UPTECH experience use the 71, is this because on a performance level its slightly more capable or is this because they got them when they were first released and stuck with them?
I stick with mine because I prefer the stronger rod, and user adjusted everything! Lol. I am a tinkerer by heart, so I love fucking with things. Hence the sr71. The 71s cost more because they were produced at an outside warehouse, and the 74s are produced in house now I believe. If it were me id go SR74 though, as they will give less issues when starting out.
5. How often would one typically need to replace TI coils? and Rods?
I have never replaced a coil yet. Rod either for that matter, though I have tried several other rods, I stay with the 71 white rod (7.4v).
I could! You could wand it with two long 18650's. Be a bit silly, but would the job!
=)
I could!
I have some JC OG OIL to try out on the PERSEI with a 18650 in a C4 2.5omH cart.
So my Persei SS tube for my single 18650 seems like it is a little badly adjusted. The battery just barely sticks out of the top and loses contact with the slightest jiggle. Is this normal? Is there a way to adjust the spring? What do you guys think?
I also had a question for Sleeping in CA. I hear you're rebuilding kiss carts for people, buddy. I've had pretty good luck with the kiss carts but my buddy seems to burn through like one a week. He's kind of a button masher. He's interested in a cheaper way to re-up his cart supply. We'd happily pay for shipping and your time to get some of these refurbished. Or alternatively, if you've got better things to do with your time, we could buy a kit off you of the things we need to do it ourselves. let me know if you're interested. Thanks!
So noone answered my post, can you truly load the herc with flowers like the video I posted earlier?

I just realized the Kiss cart I got recently has the cuff around the threaded end. hmmm none of the ones I see you guys using are like that. Might make a rebuild a bit more challenging. Did I just get old stock? Ordered from the D-9 site
Cut?
Please show?
Cuff. Are you talking about the metal skirt on the Ophos KISS cartd?
Picture please, havent seen one yet. However I'm thinking that may be a matter of time at this point.yeah that's what I meant... did I order the wrong one? It works fine so far, I have the 601 adapter with the skirt threading if I need it. I just don't know how easily I'll be able to repair this one when it goes.
